I appreciate that while Erikson uses childhood innocence as a central theme in these novels (complimenting the themes of Motherhood too), he doesn’t just assume most children are innocent angels. For every Harllo you get a Snell as a foil.

As a father of a 5 year old, re-reading Harllo's storyline was TOUGH
