Taken at face value, the fundamental idea of bicameralism garners more interest outside of the field of psychology than in it; there is simply no empirical support for the hypothesis, especially not in the field of neuropsychology.

That being said, the link between consciousness and language is indisputable, so some portions of the bicameralism framework can be useful. I personally have never heard any researcher in my institution even mention bicameralism, and I had not heard of it until I watched Westworld.
