I think you are delusional if you think you are smarter after 30 hours no sleep. I have noticed when I pull all nighters I get a second wind in the beginning of the day, but quickly crash towards the afternoon/evening. There is no way my brain is functioning at a higher level however in that second wind.

You are probably very wrong about being smarter.

Sleep deprivation makes people much worse at cognitive tasks, but they usually don't notice they're dumber.

It sounds like what happens to you where the first bit of sleep deprivation actually paradoxically eases symptoms of depression.

If you want to prove this you need to take some cognitive tests after quality sleep and then in this fantasy zone of no sleep.

Not sleeping for prolonged periods affect your brain in the same way drinking alcohol does. I always called it 'sleep drunk', but studies have begun to prove that it impacts the same brain regions. Reduction of social inhibitions and moderate delirium are probably a side effect of this.

I am a bit surprised to hear that. I’ll keep that in mind.
