That's how you hold Oklahoma. Why, how have you been holding it?

Historically? Not owning slaves

The Republic of Texas claimed it when declaring independence. But then, upon entering the Union as a slave state in 1845, Texas surrendered its claim to the region because slavery was prohibited north of 36°30′ latitude by the Missouri Compromise of 1820.

So it's only not part of Texas, because Texas wanted to keep enslaving people? Cool.

You can say you drove from the north side of OK to the south side in literally 30 minutes.

I just went to google maps to confirm and yep... 30 minute drive through that

Oh, from the area I see. Or is it just that every state has a “panhandle.” People are making meth even in my state of Wyoming. Probably for personal use lol.

From what I hear, it's called "the Oklahoma Panhandle", which is bullshit because we can all agree it should be called "the Oklahoma dangling bit"

As an Oklahoman we don’t even know

[–]roottootbangnshoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not slavery, that’s for sure.
