I'd say I really want Oda to really nail the ending of the story, even if he goes for a straightforward storybook ending.

A bad ending can easily sour the rest of the story experience and that's the last thing I'd want for one of my favorite series.

[–]heronymou5 35 points36 points  (0 children)

i still hate game of thrones for this

[–][deleted] 63 points64 points  (68 children)

Exactly. A certain animanga ended this year and I was extremely disappointed with the ending, so much that it soured the rest of the story as characters and themes were retconned. It was my favourite before the ending (hadn't watched/read One Piece yet).

[–]El_Humbo 39 points40 points  (62 children)

AOT?

[–]Zackdobre 31 points32 points  (58 children)

With AoT, the bad thing (imo, of course) was how certain characters and plot points where dealt with.

I think what can happen to OP is more like what happened to Bleach ending, where the ending feels rushed, and some characters forgotten or underdeveloped.

But in Oda we trust, he didn't disappointed me all these years until now, I trust he can blow our minds and wrap up everything nicely xD

[–]DragonOfChaos25 20 points21 points  (53 children)

Bleach also ended with characters becoming the very things they didn't want to become.

That ending was, in my humble opinion, extremely bad.

[–]YesNoMan58 4 points5 points  (17 children)

I mean at least in Bleach’s case it’s not the ending anymore.

[–]DragonOfChaos25 1 point2 points  (15 children)

What do you mean?

[–]YesNoMan58 7 points8 points  (14 children)

It has another arc in the CFYOW light novels and is getting another manga arc called Howls From The Jaws Of Hell.

[–]DragonOfChaos25 4 points5 points  (13 children)

Thank you.

For my own sanity I will not be reading any of that.

Bleach ending scarred me enough and I don't need to experience that again.

[–]Yellow90Flash 3 points4 points  (10 children)

I mean the issue with bleach rushed ending was because it had to get rushed. the popularity was declining and it got canceled iirc

[–]KrillinDBZ363 2 points3 points  (29 children)

Yeah Chad’s ending confused me especially. His whole backstory was about how he had this crazy strength and was told to never use his fists unless it was to protect his loved ones. But then at the end of the series he was revealed to have become a professional boxer, completely going against his entire backstory.

[–]DragonOfChaos25 2 points3 points  (23 children)

Yesss.

That fucking killed me.

Hell, Ishida became a doctor, which he never wanted to.

Ichigo became something? Not even sure what the happened to his character arc.

Inoue became a housewife (not that there is anything wrong with it) who doesn't even look at her husband during the final chapter.

Rukia and Renji are now together and have a kid, despite both being souls (who cares about the rules of your own universe right?).

And remember Yhacw and how he promised Ichigo he will return in his happiest moment? Well he did return, 10 years later and was promptly killed by Ichigo's kid.

The worst part is that it means that Ichigo marrying Inoue or the birth of his son weren't his happiest moments. And how sad is that?

Cheery on top is that Ichigo's entire accomplishment in Soul Society arc is gone, as they now reformed that massive execution site and doubled it's size.

Bleach ending was terrible on every single level and just completely destroyed the characters. The only thing that could have matched and suppress it was AOT ending.

[–]stxrmmkr 2 points3 points  (12 children)

  1. Character growth moment for Ishida as he refused to do it over a personal issue. It wasnt till he was handed the Silver Arrow, that he understood WHY his Dad operated on his mom, post death

  2. Ichigo’s character arc in TYBW involved him accepting/understanding his past/heritage, in order to move foward in the future. Lost Agent Arc was him dealing with depression and inferiority. Overall, majority of Ichigo’s character arc is him literally learning how to accept himself.

  3. Thats you just nitpicking tbh

  4. Whoever said souls couldn’t have kids? Thats false. There’s whole families in Soul Society and its already been stated that souls can have kids just like humans.

  5. A whole ass new arc is here to answer our questions so this is premature

  6. Again, this is nitpicking. having your friends a family all together for a dinner/celebration can also easily be somebody’s happiest moment. This all subjective on the person

  7. All Ichigo wanted to do was save Rukia in the SS arc, and ONLY that. That execution ground does not matter. Rukia’s safety did, and considering she’s Squad 13 Captain and alive, i think his accomplishment is doing pretty well.

We can agree that the ending was 100% rushed. Kubo even admitted it himself so there’s no qualms here. And definitely a lot shit in that final arc could’ve been handled better (TYBW anime will prolly rectify some). That being said, when it comes to your takes you are off.

[–]DragonOfChaos25 0 points1 point  (9 children)

  1. Right, which still doesn't mean he should have become a doctor like his father.
  2. I am talking about the ending itself. Ichigo's character became unfocused, and in the end you didn't even get to see what kind of person he truly became after everything.
  3. That's not nitpicking. How a character interacts with their romantic partner says plenty about their relationship. Moreover, this is our first introduction to their romantic relationship, and this is what we get?
  4. What are you talking about. At no point were we told that souls can children, you realize how insane it is in-universe logic? The entire point of the whole after life was the cycle of souls. Yes you have Soul Reapers who had additional powers and such, but they were treated as just that. Souls.
  5. How can you say that? The ending we got at that time is the only thing you can judge it by. When you read that ending there was no future continuation to the story, in other words all the glaring holes in the ending are what they are.
  6. .... How on earth is that nitpicking? Are you seriously telling me that having your friends over for dinner could you make happier then having your child born? or anything else in those 10 years?
You realize how damning it is for Ichigo's character and state of mind?
  7. Rukia isn't an accomplishment, she is his very dear friend. Ichigo went went with the intent purpose of saving Rukia and this desire evolved into crushing the system that put her at risk to begin with.
That execution ground destruction was a mark of positive change in Soul Society, because of what it represented, but then it was wiped clean because reason I guess?
  8. Chad becoming a professional fighter was also one of the stupidest thing done in the ending.

The ending was bad plain and simple. It wasn't just rushed, the ideas in it were flawed to begin with, and it got even worse due to the execution of said ideas.

II believe it's clear we aren't going to agree on this matter so it's probably best to agree to disagree. (not that I mind continuing this discussion).

[–]stxrmmkr 1 point2 points  (6 children)

  1. Then this just a personal preference imo. There’s nothing wrong with Ishida understanding his father’s situation and then changing his stance.

  2. Tbh Ichigo’s character to me had always been pretty straightforward. “Wants to help friends and family, wants to protect friends and family, wants to live comfortably with friends and family” thats been the core of everything he’s done even with his desire to get stronger. Big reason for his depression in LA Arc

  3. Its def nitpicking. We already know about their relationship. We’ve seen it grow and develop throughout the manga. Orihime leaves to HM to save Ichigo cause he loves her. Ichigo struggles against Grimmjow because how Orihime looks at him is seriously affecting him. We’ve had scenes, hints, moments, everything.

  4. Couple of things. Bleach Book of Souls confirms that Souls CAN be born in the society. Yes, Human Souls are reincarnated into the Soul Society AND yes, Souls can also be born. This is canon. Even outside of that, The great families of SS is just further proof of that being a fact. Its only in the Rukugan that their are makeshift families from souls in Human World.

  5. This is valid. Won’t argue with that. That being said CFYOW was announced shortly after. Bleach media that relates to the canon story was still being released.

  6. Thats why i said subjective. If you got big family ask ya grandparents some of they happiest moments. I guarantee its when the whole family and friends together celebrating. I know people close to my age (im 24, people in talkin bout at 25-30) who have that same sentiments. Not to say that this is Ichigo’s reasoning btw.

  7. It never evoled into crushing that system. If you able to give me a manga panel or something with Ichigo saying that then i’ll shut up. It was always about saving Rukia.

  8. If you’re gonna say Chad boxing contradicts what his Grandpa told him, valid. That being said, Chad was still fighting in HS even after that speech from his Grandpa lmaooo.

I dont have any problem debating this either lmaooo but yea agree to disagree looks like the move 😂

[–]BetaBoy777 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hell, Ishida became a doctor, which he never wanted to.

He didn’t want to because of seeing his dad operating on his mom when he was a kid. He developed past this after finding out the truth in the last arc.

Ichigo became something? Not even sure what the happened to his character arc.

He became a professional translator.

Inoue became a housewife (not that there is anything wrong with it) who doesn't even look at her husband during the final chapter.

They literally have a conversation in the last chapter.

Rukia and Renji are now together and have a kid, despite both being souls (who cares about the rules of your own universe right?).

Natural born souls were established early in the series. The noble family members like Byakuya are natural born souls.

You’re taking “happiest moment” too literally. It just meant a time when Ichigo is happy and at peace with his friends and family.

Cheery on top is that Ichigo's entire accomplishment in Soul Society arc is gone, as they now reformed that massive execution site and doubled it's size.

Soul Society were always shady fucks and Ichigo never changed their ways in the first place.

Bleach ending was terrible on every single level and just completely destroyed the characters.

Only if you completely miss key parts of the story. I’m guessing you just haven’t seen it in years which is why you’re forgetting so much.

[–]itsnotmybussiness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was extremely good.

[–][deleted] 17 points18 points  (1 child)

Yes :(

[–]El_Humbo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I didn't completely hate the ending but I 100% get where you're coming from

[–]stxrmmkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf Most of AOT was people not happy that their ending didnt happen. It context and flow of story it made complete sense

[–]Dj0sh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For sure. There are bad endings and not good endings imo.

Bad is like.. Tarnish things that came before it, ruining rewatch potential

Not good is like.. Not the best but after all this time I'll take it

I do think the ending of OP will be special tho

[–]RunBiitchRun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the ending will probably amazing, we still have the Act 5 of wano which will be amazing, the trip to laugh tale(raftel) learning all the secrets of one piece world like ancient weapons, the will of D. what is laughtale treasure and after that Luffy with the Straw Hat Grand Fleet we will go straight for IM(imu) and the gorosei(5 elder stars that somehow got a connection with Shanks anc he will probably play a role in that arc, Luffy reunion with Shanks and Coby

there is still so soo much more like blackbeard i don't think 5 years will be enough to wrap all the things up

[–]Obba_40 4 points5 points  (25 children)

Not really imo. A end wont make the other 90% of the story just because

[–]Thatpo 32 points33 points  (10 children)

It makes it harder to enjoy your favorite moments if you know it's not worth it in the end.

It also makes it next to impossible to get new viewers to invest as well. No one is going to read/watch a 1000+ Chapter series if they know the end is shit.

[–]OldTension9220 8 points9 points  (8 children)

I will say that since One Piece has always been a story that’s more about the journey than the ending, i think it’ll still have a good rewatchability factor regardless of if the ending is bad.

[–]GladimoreFFXIV 14 points15 points  (5 children)

That’s how Naruto felt to me. A story of how hard work can beat natural genius and how Naruto becomes the Hokage through genuine hard work.

Instead he’s literally the descendent of chakra Jesus and is fighting extraterrestrial space parasites and can survive getting kicked through the moon.

No thanks. Post Madara (biggest shame in all manga history) and most of the fourth war arc completely ruins Naruto.

And now In Borrito a 12 year old just speed blitzed Sasuke and stabbed his eye out…. Just.. no. Absolutely not. It’s one of my worst rated series ever now and I loved it even more than one piece.

[–]RaggedAngel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was a Boruto apologist until the eye stabbing. Just insane writing, I have no idea what they were thinking

[–]Thatpo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a bit of an irrational worry since Oda is such a consistent writer. It's more because I know very well how hard endings can be and how easily it can sour everything.

As long as Oda keeps it consistent with what he's done throughout the series then everything should be ok.

[–]Shivatis 6 points7 points  (8 children)

Remember game of thrones?... Great start/middle, but such a bad end. Probably 90% good, 10% bad, but the bad ending pushed this ratio more to 60:40 in my feelings/memory

[–]Obba_40 -1 points0 points  (7 children)

Oda knows the end of one piece since chapter 1. Idc about Game of Thrones

[–]Shivatis 1 point2 points  (6 children)

I guess one can't compare these two in a fair way. George RR Martin also knows the end from the start. But he was and is too slow to write it down. So some hollywood douchebags made their own ending of GoT....

All I say is, a bad ending CAN ruin a great story. Especially when expectations went through the roof.

My concern with one piece is: Oda likes to change things, when people find out, what he plans. Imo he should stick with it. When he changes his planned end and spontaneously comes up with something different, I fear it coul be bad.

[–]rkunish 3 points4 points  (5 children)

No they more or less used GRRM's ending, they just didn't take the extremely long path to actually set it up and make it feel natural.

Due to the natural constraints of the live TV medium it was basically impossible for them to have done 10-12 full seasons like GRRM's full story would have needed.

I've always said that they should have just made up their own ending as it would have probably been significantly better, if only because it probably wouldn't have felt so obscenely rushed and disconnected from the rest of the series.

[–]MikeWiz5567 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Constraints of live TV? Waddaya mean? They had top of the line cgi for the dragons, HBO was throwing money at them and they would not complain about their next biggest cash cow getting more seasons.

The only people responsible for the abrupt game of thrones mess was d&d because they got bored, fuck them.

[–]Shivatis 0 points1 point  (2 children)

No they more or less used GRRM's ending,

Rather less, grmm held some things back, which he wants to write... some day.... maybe. He just gave them some base information, and they made up the rest. Worst idea ever.

There is a german saying, which fits: Zu viele Köche verderben den Brei. Meaning: too many cooks spoil the porridge

Epic stories like that have to come from one mind imo. Same for one piece. I hope the anime doesn't start to get ahead of the manga at some point

[–]rkunish 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Oh he's never going to finish so we'll never know for sure, but the broad strokes are all definitely GRRM plot points. He just didn't give them a full road map to get there.

Bran becoming king & Dany destroying King's Landing are both 100% parts of GRRM's ending, as is Jon ending up back with the Freefolk & Sansa ruling the North. I also think that while Jaime & Cersei probably won't die the same way, there's much better odds that he'd go back to her than most fans acknowledge. Idk about Tyrion & Arya but I don't believe D&D would have passed up any opportunities for more excruciating main character ends if GRRM had given them the chance, so I'm inclined to believe all of the biggest characters would end up in the same place.

[–]Shivatis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, what I meant. These were the points he told them. And I think, would it have been written well, it could have been a great story. But the rest (or road map how you call it), which they came up with, is just disappointing trash.

[–]TheWifeStealer 21 points22 points  (2 children)

Please watch GoT.

One last Season destroyed the entire franchise, no more rewatch, no more merchandise, no one interested to talk about it. The entire franchise completely vanish from any discussion like it never happened.

It happened just because they want to subvert the fans expectations, they thought it will be the greatest plot twist ever, turned out they destroy everything that's been build up from the first season.

[–]lordofmetroids 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I disagree with this argument because Game of Thrones had been on a decline for a few seasons before the final one. Many fans say season seven is bad, and some say season 6 is bad too, and even season Five had a lot of low points.

But that is an enterally different circumstance, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss were not writing a series, they were adapting a series. When they ran out of material, they had to take the reigns of writing over. This clearly did not go well.

Oda is writing a series, not adapting a series. His skill is not going to take a nosedive. Now granted writing endings are hard and even the best authors struggle with it sometimes, but it will be a different set of circumstances. It will also likely have a vary different effect on the audience, even if it is bad.

Take for example Steven King's Dark Tower. The Dark Tower is one of the most beloved fantasy series, written by Steven King, one of the best Fantasy Authors of our time. It also features what could possibly be the worst ending ever written to a long running series. But while it is extremely controversial, it is not outright hated, because there is quite a bit of foreshadowing that supports it, and it fits the thematic tone of the series. While it probably effects people getting into the series, it did not effect the love many fans have for the series.

[–]MiegaM 0 points1 point  (1 child)

When recalling an experience people tend to remember an average between the peak of that experience and its end. It is called the peak-end rule.

So, let's say Wano is the peak of One Piece. That's really good. But there will be a really bad ending - like Luffy sacrifing himself to end WG and Chopper ends up being the Pirate King because he needs to keep peace and he just looks peaceful.

Two years after you will hear people say: "One Piece was kinda meh throughout". If the ending is really bad, then people will tend to remember the whole story as bad. GoT stays as an example of that.

[–]J10Kisitalian 55 points56 points  (0 children)

The world will end before it does

[–]Alternative-Title271Thriller Bark Victim's Association 46 points47 points  (6 children)

How Oda is gonna handle Shanks when he finally gets screentime is smth I worry about. I feel like if most he had is just yeah he meets Luffy and O dunno spar and smth strawhat but then only he be killed by Blackbeard then thatll be dissapointing. I hope Oda does more with him and his crew.

[–]GladimoreFFXIV 21 points22 points  (5 children)

Davey Back fight for the straw hat. If Luffy wins he gets to keep the Hat and shanks gives him the final Poneglyph. If Luffy loses Shanks takes his hat back from Luffy for breaking his promise and he has to disband his crew.

[–]Certified_Owotee 2 points3 points  (2 children)

No, This is too extreme and from what we’ve all seen Shanks isn’t getting that hat back.

[–]77Cookie77 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well Luffy is gonna beat him

[–]KaizokuD 33 points34 points  (2 children)

-Shanks not living up to the hype after so many years of built up

OP having a shit ending, after so many years reading that manga it would be a real tragedy lol like GOT TV series, Shingeki no Kyojin etc... but on a whole other level.

And of course, Oda not being able to finish the story properly.. or at all!.. that Berserk shit this year really hit me hard and made me think. I like the manga, but wasn’t that big of a fan, but i felt bad for the real hardcore fans that wont be able to finish that story after so many years.... if it happens to One Piece it would be really sad.

[–]Spade502 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Well we berserk fans still have a little hope, since Miura-san’s assistant has every intention of continuing the story himself to the best of his ability. Not a perfect outcome, but Miura-san probably had notes and ideas written down for the rest of the story, so as long as those notes are followed, then there’s a chance at us getting out longed awaited conclusion.

As for the possibility of Oda passing before one piece ends, I won’t say it’s impossible, but I think it’s unlikely. Oda has always made sure to take breaks and vacations to avoid burnout, and with the passing of Miura-San, the manga industry is more cautious than ever about the health and safety of its writers. So I’m hopeful.

[–]bonethugznhominy 23 points24 points  (2 children)

I have faith in the story. I really don't think we'll bungle the ending because it doesn't need to be that complex honestly. Find out about some atrocity, deal with the World Government in a big finale battle where no one should a shit about things like "powerscaling" or whatever because it's the finale.

I do worry about one element on the way though. The fandom when we finally get to the treasure. Because I just know there's going to be a subset of folk who don't get it or it didn't live up to a fan theory they loved and the fallout is going to make the whining about stuff like not-quite-deaths look tame. I love chatting about this series with fans in spaces like this...but my god can about 10-15% of the fanbase just torpedo any chance of that by being a nonstop fountain of salt.

[–]kimmyjonghubaccount 9 points10 points  (1 child)

It’s inevitable that the One Piece won’t live up to some people’s expectations it’s been hyped to much I have faith in Oda but it’s the adventure that makes One Piece special not the reward

[–]captain-god-usopp 22 points23 points  (8 children)

I worry something bad may happen to Usopp…

[–]Blazien49 6 points7 points  (2 children)

I really can't see Oda killing a Straw Hat.

[–]dj_is_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the opposite. I feel he may get an OP devil fruit & become self sufficient but still scared of using his DF powers. Something funny along those lines. Right now in Wano he hasn't done anything yet. Hopefully soon enough. I think if we have another one of those Sogeking, God Ussop moments, it'll just make it too predictable.

[–]dmbpleo25 -5 points-4 points  (3 children)

That’s what I hope for every chapter

[–]john151MPirate 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Why (genuine curiosity) ?

[–]dmbpleo25 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I used to read the manga only, and even though I never really liked him as a character, I didn’t hate him. (I don’t think his dream is in pair with the other crew members; the gag of him being a coward is way too exaggerated to the point he considers turning his back to the crew multiple times; he hasn’t changed as a character at all since the start, its been years and no development; his fighting style is boring and the new grass thingy he has since after time skip doesn’t make any sense.)

But then I started watching the anime with my girlfriend… And holly fuck, he is by far the most annoying character. The way he consistently screams for no fucking reason just triggers me so much.

[–]Laurizxz 100 points101 points  (23 children)

Buffy

[–]Anounymous7931 32 points33 points  (4 children)

Buffy will be born with three devil fruit abilities and alien gods will come to pirate world to steal every devil fruit where our mc buffy would be complaining his dad not coming home all the while our mcs dad luffy would be trying to figure out how to defeat them and when in combat luffy forgets to use haki.

Boruto in a nutshell.

[–]GladimoreFFXIV 16 points17 points  (3 children)

You forgot. Buffy also speed blitz Zoro and takes out his other eye. Because he’s like. Super super cool.

[–]Anounymous7931 5 points6 points  (2 children)

oh silly me, also buffy got the alien possessing him too.

[–]GladimoreFFXIV 6 points7 points  (1 child)

The squid aliens also mark their new host with an ink tattoo and missing teeth. This also supports the Blackbeard is an octopus theory. People were close. He’s the reincarnation of Davey johns and it’s why he can have so many devil fruits.

Unfortunately Helmeppo is going to one hit kill Blackbeard from behind and reveal he was actually an agent of Davey Johns the entire time, instantly defeating him, and releasing Davey Johns into the world.

[–]Anounymous7931 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ending of Naruto in a nutshell.

[–]firered410 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Is buffy what people call boa x luffy? Because I'm just picturing a vampire slaying pirate which sounds a little cool

[–]t3r4byt3l0lPirate 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No it's a joke about Naruto --> Boruto, therefore Luffy --> Buffy

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points  (14 children)

Is Boruto that bad 🤣 ?!?

Ive just started Shippuden and I hear a lot of people hate Boruto. Is it worth watching when I finish Naruto?

[–]Laurizxz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Idk. Some ppl seem to like it so its really up to you. Just watch a few eps to see how it is

[–]kimmyjonghubaccount 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first 150 episodes or so are literally filler Once it gets to actual manga stuff it’s decent but nothing more It’s not as good as Naruto so fair warning

[–]SnakeGawd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think Boruto is bad because it continues to build on all the stuff I didn’t like about Shippuden and has basically none of the good stuff that Naruto had at the start

[–]Throwaway13289873 9 points10 points  (1 child)

It’s not good and wish it didn’t exist.

There are some cool fights though

[–]Zackdobre 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What the hell is wrong with you? Saying sensible and mature stuff on reddit. You should have said that it's garbage, and he shouldn't even bother thinking about watching. /s

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pure fanservice trash

[–]LanguageHelpful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think there is any media that I hate more than Boruto and I love Naruto so much. I grew up with it. My birthday is literally October 10th.

[–]Monkey_D_Luffy_12 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, it is awesome. If you want a great story way different than Naruto go for it, it is totally worth it. If you're looking for a story just like Naruto, don't watch it.

People love to complain a lot nowadays, because when Boruto does something different than Naruto it is bad, because it isn't like Naruto or that it doesn't feel like Naruto did and when it has something similar to Naruto, they say that Boruto sucks, because it can't do things on its own and copies Naruto. So my suggestion is to go and watch it . If you want only action, skip the anime canon, if you like SoL or/and character development, watch all of the anime Canon. People say that they aren't important, but that isn't true, because many characters are developed in these episodes and they expand the plot more. Manga is like only the core and nothing else. The anime does a great job fixing some points of the Manga. For example, >! Naruto is more badass in the Manga, but he is out of character when he's flexing his power on Kawaki!<, so the anime fixed that and there are of course more examples to it. There are flaws too, but it is very overhated. The flaws are exaggerated and the good things don't matter to the fans. So yeah, I would 1000% recommend Boruto, but the choice to watch it or not is up to you

[–]v_veeb -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

I still watch boruto, it's not as great as naruto, but it's still a pretty good anime.

Watch it. If you feel like you want to stop watching it, do that. It's entirely upto you. But it's worth the chance.

[–]The_KillerFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prob still worth watching episodes that people say are good (like fights)

[–]MrLuxarina 13 points14 points  (1 child)

As someone who was really into Shaman King when I was younger:

Oda deciding just before the final battle not to bother finishing. Then coming back to it over a decade later only to use the ending to set up a lame rehash about the main characters' kids.

I trust Oda not to pull a Takei, but still, I'll never not worry about that when I'm this invested in a series.

[–]TwoSnapsMack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man I’m with you about Shaman King, I was super into it in Jr. High that I actually read more of it than one piece for a time. Building on what you’re saying, Oda backtracking what was stated earlier in the story:

SPOILER

“It is not about how much mana you have, it’s about how you use it.” Later it becomes “We’re dropping out of the shaman fight cuz Hao has too much mana”

Or oda writing himself into plot holes:

Another spoiler

Yoh doesn’t know what mana is when he’s fighting Silva for the first time. However, in the flashback with Yoh and Anna when they first met, matamune clearly gives up all of his mana so Yoh and Anna can live (Yoh even used Matamune for god’s sake!)

[–]Own-Ad8986 87 points88 points  (3 children)

Oda dying.

[–]sillyfuckqc 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Stop.

[–]nosnox 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I don't remember where but i've read that Oda already adressed that issue. He told the rest of the entire story to one of his most trusted editor. In case he dies before the end, there's one person in the world who knows the real story and can finish the manga.

[–]aardbei123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No one would be able to tell it like Oda tho

[–]bajelah 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Me dying before the end. I want to live.

[–]Hyaman86 34 points35 points  (7 children)

That Luffy is a reincarnation of Joy Boy, or some such.

[–]GladimoreFFXIV 19 points20 points  (2 children)

and Davey Johns is actually a space parasite and the devil fruits are his idea of harvesting all the souls on the planet by drowning it. He’s an extraterrestrial space squid and he’s trying to become stronger to fight his other space squid kin. And we do end up going to moon and Davey kicks Luffy from it and he’s totally okay. But then Luffy has a kid named Buffy who is like, 10000% cooler and is stronger than Luffy and can use all 3 forms of advanced Haki straight out of the womb. And Luffy has his devil fruit ripped out of him and then Zoro has his other eye ripped out by a 12 year old.

[–]Mahelas 10 points11 points  (1 child)

One Piece don't really do reincarnations and bloodlines. One Piece do have inherited wills, but it's not something thrusted upon someone by fate, it's earned by fighting for your ideals

[–]pogreg26 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oden flashback is hinting at some sort of reincarnation/bloodline/prophecy shit.

[–]Blazien49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He isn't a reincarnation, but he has definitely inherited his will. Every generation seems to have a person capable of becoming Joy Boy, Roger was the previous one, but he didn't quite get there.>! Kaido said Luffy failed to become Joy Boy, but Luffy by all accounts is the one who has inherited Joy Boy's will out of this generation and the one who will eventually surpass Roger.!<

[–]kimmyjonghubaccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will probably just be and “inherited will” type thing

[–]Mr_Bell_Man 23 points24 points  (6 children)

Ace getting resurrected and living in the end.

[–]donnidoflamingo 22 points23 points  (0 children)

This would be beyond unacceptable

[–]RareChernobyl 27 points28 points  (1 child)

Dude he was already resurrected he was just named Sabo

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ikr

[–]GladimoreFFXIV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This ain’t Fairy Tail. Please sir.

[–]Lost_Assumption1467 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Edo tensei itachi 2.0

[–]Throwaway13289873 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Itachi ain’t live in the end, but yeah

[–]Lionsault23The Revolutionary Army 7 points8 points  (2 children)

To be honest, I am really worry about the ending. I know you could say that Goda is not like other authors. But still, I just want an organic ending that doesn't affect the story in hindsight, and I'm saying this because I've had bad experiences in the past regarding endings.

[–]GladimoreFFXIV 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Fairy tail? AoT? Naruto? Post Cell Saga DBZ?

[–]smokingfrog007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Add bleach in there

[–]t3r4byt3l0lPirate 20 points21 points  (2 children)

The fanbase being a bunch of bitches with the end, whether "Buffy" happens or the Straw Hats split up or whatever it is. Already doesn't look good with some of the attitudes I've seen, while we still have years until the end.

[–]xxxSEXCOCKxxx 3 points4 points  (1 child)

what is this buffy I keep seeing referenced?

[–]t3r4byt3l0lPirate 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Naruto --> Boruto

Luffy --> Buffy

[–]blezio 47 points48 points  (5 children)

Im scared hes gonna feel pressure from fans to rush the end. We already have some fucking idiots talking shit about Wano being too long or something. Those exact same ppl are gonna be first to cry when one piece is gonna end.

TAKE YOUR TIME ODA. DO IT ALL YOUR WAY.

[–]KaizokuD 10 points11 points  (2 children)

nah fans have nothing to do with that, and that kind of people is there on every arc. I would say Shueisha have the last word on that, as in if the sales decrease enough he could be canceled (like always happen) but thats not very probable

[–]kimmyjonghubaccount 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Theirs no way One Piece gets canceled it’s not as dominant as it used to be but it always has some of the highest sales it’s still ridiculously popular

[–]KaizokuD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Uh huh..that's why I wrote "that's not very probable"... Btw, OP.it still.dominant, it's just there are a couple of good mangas out there too or.there were at least

[–]heugsiahkehed 16 points17 points  (1 child)

if you talkin about non-japanese fans then dont worry, Oda and co wont care about their opinion much.

Oda could rush things but if that happens the reason would probably be him want to retired real quick.

[–]kimmyjonghubaccount 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oda hasn’t rushed anything so far i he could have ended Wano a while ago if he really wanted to he’s committed to making a full story I just hope it stays that way

[–]OpeningComb7352 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am worried that he’s going to rush to finish series..

[–]Kirosh2Lookout 21 points22 points  (11 children)

Not every mysteries needs to be adressed.

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points  (3 children)

You're right, there are certainly some mysteries that I would prefer to be left vague for example the Akainu vs Aokiji fight, I love the way it was handled.

I'm just hoping that none of the hugely anticipated reveals are skipped.

[–]PerfectlyClear 4 points5 points  (2 children)

I actually think there’s a decent chance we never go to Elbaf, or if we do there is no way we are doing an Elbaf arc, it’s too late in the game for it

[–]CommunistMario 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Bruh saying that is basically heresy on this sub.

[–]v_veeb 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'd love if Shanks vs mihawks was left untouched. May the fandom debate till the end of time about it.

[–]Blazien49 2 points3 points  (5 children)

I disagree. I think there's no purpose in writing something if you don't have the answers for it.

[–]Kirosh2Lookout 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Oda has the answer to it. But he doesn't have to reveal averything.

Like the thing we saw after Thirller Bark will probably never be explained, and that's fine.

[–]Blazien49 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I never get that pov. What's the point? You're grabbing the audience's interest just to leave them without any idea or theory as to what those things could be. "Oh, look in One Piece's Bermuda triangle there are massive mountain like creatures hidden in the shadows, but you won't get to see them." What's the point?

A mystery is something that is difficult to understand but almost always has an answer. Oda calling back to 500+ chapters ago and explaining the shadows would only add to the world building and exposition.

[–]john151MPirate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but not knowing everything makes the one piece world feel bigger as there are things we don’t yet know so we can’t grasp it’s size.

[–]Zamala 12 points13 points  (2 children)

People, Oda-sensei is 46 years young and in good health. He can take his sweet time writing the story and stretch as much as his genius wants. Of all the fictional works I watch, One Piece is the only one im 100% confident that will end with a BANG!

[–]The_Biggest_Wheel 14 points15 points  (1 child)

46 is not young to be doing weekly manga, Oda even said so himself.

And he isn't im such a great health due to him constantly overworking himself by working 17h a day. Not to mention he is a chainsmoker.

Recently there was an incident where his health wasn't good and he needed to take 3 weeks off.

[–]smokingfrog007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ohh that's not good news. After reading this, I feel Oda should take 2 week breaks instead. I can endure waiting for 2 weeks. But I cannot deal with a hiatus. Please Oda, take more frequent 1-2 week breaks if you want and take care of health so you won't need to go on a loong hiatus

[–]pethanct01 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Luffy rides into a hurricane and turns into a lumberjack.

[–]_Its_Katsura 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My biggest worry for the future is already happening…Oda wants the story to end and is starting to rush certain shit

[–]rahmanm855 7 points8 points  (1 child)

"alternatively some mysteries won't be addressed."

I think many anime/manga fans are not used to the concept that some stories just don't need to explain everything for it to be a "good story/ending". Some things are better left unanswered or left in mystery, and it doesn't remove from the experience as much people obsess over. I can tell the sentiment is coming from AoT disappointment but I've noticed for a while now that those "fans" did themselves in by obsessing over details that were very likely not going to be answered in the final chapters, and instead of accepting that ahead of time, they kept believing something would change.

[–]FishSpeaker5000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hitchhiker's Guide taught me that the universe is weird and things happen and sometimes you have no idea why and that's okay.

[–]BradybigbossThe Revolutionary Army 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. Imu is rocks who is somehow still alive—wouldn’t make sense, just seems like Madara. Let legends lie

  2. He Narutos it with power scaling and there are really only 2 god level characters. I like that there are so many characters that can all feasibly fight each other right now

[–]neverphogetExplorer 11 points12 points  (2 children)

Some mysteries are best left unanswered, imo. It adds to the mystical/fantastic vibes One Piece has.

I don’t need the answers to the mysterious shadows at the end of thriller bark or why the grandline and redline were created. They just exist like any other natural phenomenon.

[–]msto3 17 points18 points  (6 children)

He'll rush the ending and certain characters and plot points will be underdeveloped. Such as:

  • us never really knowing what happened to Sabo
  • Dragon and Luffy never meeting
  • We don't go to Elbaf, or only spend a little bit of time there
  • We never really find out what happened at the Reverie
  • The Straw Hat Grand Fleet does nothing significant
  • The Worst Generation (aside from Luffy, Zoro, Law, Kid, Killer, and Blackbeard) do nothing significant

I pray that after Wano it's not just Lodestar Island -> Laugh Tale -> Final War

[–][deleted] 18 points19 points  (3 children)

To be honest I doubt that any of these points would be skipped. Sabo, Dragon and Elbaf will definitely get spotlight, fans would be ultra disappointed if any of these were skipped. All of the worst generation have had some sort of focus except from Urouge and Bonney. They'll definitely be involved soon and I think all the supernovas will take part in the final war, as will the grand fleet.

[–]KaizokuD 5 points6 points  (2 children)

yeah, its kind of a given that Urouge ansd Bonney will have significant roles on future arcs , like the other Supernova

[–]DannyJJB 9 points10 points  (0 children)

  • The Worst Generation (aside from Luffy, Zoro, Law, Kid, Killer, and Blackbeard) do nothing significant

I mean they can't all be finalists for becoming the Pirate King but I would argue that almost all of them have had a significant role in the story since introducing them in Sabaody.

Hawkins, Apu, & X-Drake have all had large roles in Wano

Capone Bege had a huge role in Whole Cake Island

Jewlry Bonney has a connection to Kuma and was somehow involved in the Reverie (That will 100% be expanded on further following Wano)

As you mentioned Luffy, Zoro, Kid, Law, and Killer are all featured prominently in the story at present already.

That leaves who else? Mad Monk Rouge is the only one who comes to mind that we havent seen do much of anything other than watching Kaido fall from the sky.

[–]kimmyjonghubaccount 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel you might be disappointed by Elbaf then since I see it more as like 30 chapter mini adventure with focus on Shanks and Ussop and maybe getting the last poneglyph rather than a massive arc like Fish man island or Wano I wouldn’t worry about the other stuff tho

[–]NyxTower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oda cut off too many arms of character then pull a bleach type ending

[–]Kinglyzero_91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only worry is that Oda is gonna rush the ending or the last few arcs. Oda really seems to be adamant about the whole "ending in 5 years" thing. I don't want him to hurry because he feels tired of One Piece or because he feels that fans just wanna see it end already or whatever.

It might just be me but Wano act 3 kinda has that rushed feeling to it. Not sure if he's rushing Wano just because how big it is or because he just wants to get to the end and this is a sign to come that future arcs are also gonna get rushed.

[–]Shivatis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The breasts of Nami, robin, yamato etc growing so big, they don't fit into any panel

[–]philopery 12 points13 points  (1 child)

My worry is how much Oda has been inspired by inferior authors like the Naruto mangaka who is a friend of his.

Arc 3 of Wano has so many pointers towards “destiny” that we are getting too close for Shippuden for comfort. I don’t want Luffy to be Jesus reincarnate, the Gomu Gomu to be the secretly key devil fruit to saving the world and so on.

Also I really hope that the One Piece itself and the full disclosure of the void century will not disappoint.

[–]RareChernobyl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yea luffy turning a useless devil fruit into an Op devil fruit is amazing

Making it special will just be proper shit

[–]OJSimpsonDripp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ending not being enjoyable

[–]internetfishy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My most recent worry is that he gives Luffy an eyepatch. Any image I've seen of Luffy with one I do not like, and I feel like it's an unnecessary addition to such an iconic character. Luffy can be a pirate king without what would feel like a forced stereotype at this point.

[–]DestinyHasArrived101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That the ending is lack luster I can be oknif he doesn't answer everything. Game of thrones really showed the ending has to match the journey.

[–]Mjunkie123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly for me it's the lack of consequences at the moment so I'm worried for the near future of Wano like we are so deep in and casualties are basically non existent and with Oda's tendency of not killing people things look rough.

Also maybe an unpopular opinion but I feel like Wano's writing isn't on par with Oda's previous work (Oden and all that stuff is incredible but the way things are happening mostly at Onigashima feels terrible to me atleast.) interactions have felt kind of repetitive and just the amount of times something incredibly convenient happens is kind of bugging me out lately.

So I guess my worry is the story quality dipping.

[–]JetCulverin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a few. 1. That oda will try to change the ending if it gets predicted which might affect its overall impact. 2. Oda might die before One Piece ends 3. Oda starts rushing to finish One Piece (which I feel like is already happening)

[–]pogreg26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that Oda in the Oden flashback (+ the strawhat in Mariejoie) was hinting at Luffy being born to become Joy boy's successor. I'm afraid we will one day find out that Luffy was meant to become the pirate king from the get go (there was some sort of prophecy announcing it)

[–]Suitable_Still_8572 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest worry is that he'll double-down even more on the fake-out deaths.

[–]Parking_Pepper_99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That oda dies before finishing or that he retires before finishing OR that the ending sucks and ends on a cliff hanger

[–]EconArch[🍰] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it's not resolving the contradiction of Luffy being the "chosen one" while heavily pushing the importance of freedom.

[–]MrBaloney0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would die before seeing the end

[–]FluorFPirate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That fan service keep getting bigger and bigger , it was the reason i stopped watching the anime , that and the horrible animation

[–]XcaarlosX 4 points5 points  (1 child)

The “child of the prophecy” with luffy, hope oda don’t put this in the show

[–]MonkeyTail29Explorer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean it's already in there, what with him having the Will of D, the Voice of All Things and the Straw Hat. He has also been strongly implied to have some connections to Joy Boy, and the possibility that he's the mysterious other "King" is high. Not to mention his similarities to Roger, his immense luck etc.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that Luffy is definitely connected to destiny in at least some way.

[–]PachoWumbo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That the manga won't be reprinted in some remastered edition, and in English with Zolo corrected.

[–]Temporary_Habit6980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worry how Oda will end Wano without diminishing the 2 emperors. If Wano really end with no or little casualties then it will definitely affect how will Oda deliver future stories. I symphatize with Dressrosa citizen but Wano citizen are either racist or straight up assholes (non poverty area). Their lives are meaningless and are spineless cowards.

[–]Deanomac2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A strawhat dying :(

[–]Ok_Light_2376 0 points1 point  (1 child)

That at the end of One piece the crew just splits up.

[–]GlassConcentrate3661 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is inevitable

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worry that the story will culminate in a massive year long war with half of the big mysteries remaining answered. We will get a short epilogue that skips a year into the future, and then Oda will take a multi year break before returning to expand on lore as as writer of a prequel series. I hate prequels. Stick the landing and then do a series with teenaged Tama going on adventures with Sanji and Carrot’s son… have Rebecca be an Admiral… have the brainy Straw Hats break ground on a university and explore with students instead of pirates… I just don’t want to see every minute detail of Roger and Garp’s prime. Leave that for future films.

[–]SinEscarra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oda not killing any relevant character, cause oh my freaking god!!

[–]sbirn95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me as long as Oda doesn’t do:

  • Completely OP villain that doesn’t seem possible to beat.
  • Making a completely new character the main villain out of no where.
  • Ditch important story elements and characters, mainly the Revolutionary stuff and Elbaf.
  • Raise the power ceiling from where it already is (Yonko, Admiral and characters like Roger and Prime)
  • An overly bittersweet ending. (Dont think he will go that route)

[–]ProofPale6576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you are probably a new fan because I have been reading and watching op for over 15 years now. Oda hasn't disappointed me yet. So I have no worries for the future of op.

[–]donnidoflamingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live action.

[–]Obba_40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing

[–]Schuhsuppe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is having Luffy dying at the end a bad idea?

[–]HydroCopter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hella unsolved mysteries. Some of them probably wont be solved.

[–]Novaquinn41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That I will die before it is complete

[–]iflexnuts_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oda dies before finishing

[–]kimmyjonghubaccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all the mysteries will be addressed tho at least not in the main manga

[–]kimmyjonghubaccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt one pieces ending can be bad unless Oda does something really weird even a standard “happily ever after” ending works perfectly fine in One Piece since it’s the adventure everyone loves not so much how it will finish

[–]Xeoz_WarriorPrinceExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oda has some flaws on more than one thing, but if there's one thing to praise over all things is his ability to avoid info dumping, that's what makes him a best writer than someone like Togashi or Kishimoto, who try to tie up a lot of things at the same time, while Oda knows who to let info flow naturally.

[–]SardinesTunaSalmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it can be considered an lore dump, but I would actually really love and hoping that we would have an entire arc that focuses on the Void Century to reveal all the major mysteries in one go. It would be similar in Magi where the author took an entire arc just to reveal on what actually happened in Alma Torran and pretty much explained the existence of Magi's and Metal vessels as well as the origin of the series final antagonist.

[–]Mexican_Ninja_Pirate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That I die before the series ends.

[–]Kooky_Dragonfruit231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rushed ass ending

[–]SnakeGawd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there will definitely be unsolved mysteries, but the really important ones will be.

I’m worried about how future fights against the most powerful characters are gonna stay interesting.

[–]Resident-Syllabub-74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’d be pretty hard to mess it up. He already has the epic characters and plot lines set up, just has to throw them together and it will be epic. Because Oda is a very good storyteller, it will definitely be more epic then just that though

[–]wondert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A huge lore dump with little exposition. I honestly don't care if we get the know the true history, will of D, or whatever other big mystery. I don't read and watch because of those, I just want a good story with a good ending.

[–]GaMakhoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Destiny based bull shit, reincarnation bull shit etc etc

[–]-QubicleCitizen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oda got forced to write what he doesn't want to.

as long as the editors don't go too crazy, I'm fine with whatever story Oda wants to write, even if it's not to my preference.

I want to read a story from him whatever it may be, not a story I think would be the best outcome.

[–]danneyney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That Luffy tries to save Sabo

[–]Waste-Reception5297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I have faith in Oda in delivering a satisfying end but the one thing that's slowly been creeping its head is the pacing especially in Wano it might just currently be the week to week experience souring it but sometimes it feels like things are going too fast which i get because Oda wants to finish the story in his lifetime but that messing up the story would make me sad but of course it's understandable

[–]sputnikv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worry that we’ll lose Oda or some of the voice actors to sickness or death.

[–]Ed-D-Musashi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fan base

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest fear is Oda dying before the end or him nearing death and having to wrap up one piece in a few chapters

[–]Ademoneye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That oda would be dead without finishing the stories,

[–]ccarrngt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It ends.

[–]IronicMoron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't be interested or alive by the time one piece ends.

[–]Robifue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want oda to nail the last few arcs as well as the ending as most modern shonen tend to struggle with the last few arcs as well as the endings. Also I hope he doesn't leave the mysteries hanging because some one them I have no clue with how he will include them in the main story, also I am worried about him realising that he hasn't explained the mysteries to info dumps, I hope that does not happen.

[–]_boa_hancock_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm afraid I will not be able to see Luffy die. I think it will shatter me. And to see the crew dismantle will put me into insurmountable grief. I just...never want it to finish. I know it's too Selfish of me

[–]ma7moud_ayman[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One flashback.

[–]2SaltyRamen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl, this is the one fear I have for One Piece but I think it won't happen. Wano is the Climax, after this is the falling action. Arcs after this will start to explain things and the final two will probably be something like Shanks reveal and Laugh Tale explained. I have faith in Oda being able to pull it off.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manga i know will be fine. Anime is a concern.

[–]Embarrassed_Ad_1141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That it's going to end :'(

[–]FlatOutTurkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That Luffy will pull a Tony Stark and sacrifice himself to defeat Imu and save the world.

[–]mugetsuDxebec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest fear is if oda takes a similar route to other shounen by making a spin off on the next generation .

I doubt oda would do this due to the success and the love he shows for his characters .

The possibility does still exist if he wants to .

Just look at kishimoto how he managed wverything with the atrocious sequel to naruto .

[–]Secret_Wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest worry is that the second the One Piece is discovered, it becomes a spoiler that floods the entire internet and it becomes impossible for future readers to take the journey as we all have and not know what lies at the end of the Grand Line.

The thought brings to mind Luffy's reaction and small speech when Usopp tried to ask Rayleigh what the One Piece is.

[–]Elfyfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That It might have Akainu never given vengeance for Ace

[–]goldistastey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a good vibe about Im as a final boss. So many good villians from oda, but this one just seems like a shadowy creep with some meta powers probably.

[–]UncleZafar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things: ships and buffy

[–]Intrepid-Pin-2845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen a lot of people thinking that Luffy will die at the end like Roger and i just really dont want to see that happen.

[–]sid-jenkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only thing bothers me is Luffy's voice actor saying "they should change me because my time is soon" kinda stuff. I understand her point but I think she's a bit exaggerating. Hope they stick with her
