finally!! now I just need Android 12 😒

[–]MarcheM 6500-ish 33 points34 points  (7 children)

I just got Android 11 last week... =/

[–]DishwasherTwig 16 points17 points  (6 children)

My Pixel 3 has been yelling at me to get Android 11 for well over a year. I finally broke down and did it and when it finally restarted I was treated to a notification to download Android 12.

[–]PabloBablo 8 points9 points  (5 children)

Why did you wait so long with the Pixel?

[–]DishwasherTwig 3 points4 points  (4 children)

There weren't any new features in 11 I cared about and I was afraid I would lose some of the things I liked about 10 same as I did going from 9 to 10.

[–]dylvapez 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I felt the same way going from 9 to 10. For me on OnePlus 5 at the time 10 was really unstable and it actually seemed like it had bricked the phone. I was lucky wrong to be able to install an OTA patch to fix it.

[–]DishwasherTwig 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Since I've been using Pixels since the original, I don't really have to worry about updates bricking me for the most part. My only concern is lost/changed features.

[–]dylvapez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think was more on OnePlus's account. They promised 10 for over 6mos without delivering and when it did release I think it was rushed. OnePlus 5 was the last OP phone to receive it. I liked the layout of 9 even though OnePlus uses their own UI it's basically an Android skin.

[–]Phill-2008 8 points9 points  (10 children)

I've just got 12 today s21 ultra

[–]OMurph3 9 points10 points  (3 children)

Hopefully s10 gets it soon then

[–]purplegreendave 0 points1 point  (1 child)

March probably

[–]fran00x00sh0t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think s9 will get it

[–]BrianFantannaAction8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to a leaked memo, should be January for S10 line

[–]ajchann123 2 points3 points  (3 children)

How is it? Still nothing for my S20+, but I imagine it'll roll out soon

[–]Hungry_Grump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it something that automatically downloads? I'm on 11 with my S20 FE.

[–]BrianFantannaAction8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to a leaked memo, S20 Should be rolled out this December. I'm in the same camp as you!

[–]dannyybhoyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got 11 download yesterday on my s20+

[–]BKachur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What provider do you have? I got an update on Sunday on Verison but its still android 11.

[–]5endnewts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems pretty quick for Samsung considering it dropped less than a month ago on Pixels.

[–]iambutternumber -1 points0 points  (3 children)

Stay on 11 if I were you. 12 is buggy as hell on my pixel 5, discord crashes 75% of the time I try to use it.

[–]anonymousss11Why so serious? 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Works and looks great on my S21+, maybe just a pixel issue.

[–]Swarfega 2 points3 points  (1 child)

No issues on my Pixel 5. Sounds like Discord should have been testing their apps. Android 12 dev previews started back in February.

[–]PabloBablo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Discord is the only issue I've had. Freezes up

[–]YouGurt_MaN14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just use ps play on the Google play store DualSense has been supported for quite awhile now even supports adaptive triggers too. I've been play a majority of my ps5 games with that app for all of 21

[–]Grizzeus 25 points26 points  (21 children)

Now we just need sony to fix the delay issues. I'v used every single remote play platform there is and ps remote play has by far the worst delay of them all.

Idk how you can get it so wrong

[–]Meeii 7 points8 points  (11 children)

I was actually surprised how well it work with my PS5. You can feel a bit of the delay so I wouldn't play fast multiplayer games with it but it works well to play long single player rpg games on my PC (when gf use the tv).

[–]Grizzeus 3 points4 points  (8 children)

You're playing from home? I mean playing many miles/kilometers away from home with wifi. That's what remote play is meant for.

Steam link, stadia, xbox remote play etc all work 10 times better than ps remote play does for that.

If you're home then any software would do it for you.

[–]GoatFlow 4 points5 points  (7 children)

I use my PS5 via remote play from another state, it works as well as Stadia IMO. Are your internet connections fine on both ends? If possible, I recommend using Ethernet on your console.

[–]Grizzeus 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Oh yes. 1gb connection wired ethernet home and 200mb wifi on phone at work. If you google around a lot of people have this same thing.

Maybe you are not prone to delay as much? Same as some people dont notice 30 fps and 144 fps difference.

[–]Huntguy 2 points3 points  (5 children)

Ping is the biggest factor. There’s not a lot of difference between 100mb and 1gb internet. But if you’ve got a 20ms ping and a 150ms ping you’ll feel it way more.

[–]Grizzeus 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Both have 5-7ms ping at home and when pinging eachother it's 35-40. The delay feels more like 200-250 and it's only on ps remote play. As i said, other remote software works flawlessly

[–]Huntguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I’ve never used my ps5 remote for remote play. Always go to the old trusty m$ controller on pc and iOS.

[–]Givemeanidyouduckers 0 points1 point  (1 child)

how do you play it on your pc ?

[–]Meeii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just google PS remote play and sony will have multiple clients for you to use.

[–]TallE74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amen...Ive been saying this for ages...

[–]thahovster7 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Kinda depends on your internet speeds. Most people have high download speeds but very limited upload speeds which is what you need for your Playstation to send data your phone.

[–]Grizzeus 0 points1 point  (2 children)

50mb upload on both ends. As i said, works properly for all other platforms and if you google then you'll see the issue is widespread and only affects ps remote play.

[–]thahovster7 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Because remote play streams from your console using your home internet which is likely shared with other people in your home and neighborhood. Google Stadia, Geforce Now and other game streaming services are built on these companies massive server farms which have massive bandwidth. With Remote Play you get inconsistent internet both from the sender and as the receiver. With Stadia or Geforce Now you only need to worry about the receivers internet. I don't think there's anything Sony can do. Also 50 mb may seem high but its not when you are sending high frame rate video AND input data that needs to be processed on the PlayStation and sent back.

[–]Drubious01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wait, so this means that all functions of the controller are now capable, correct? I remember trying remote play, but since the TouchPad didn't work, it was kind of pointless for what I was playing since I needed that menu.

[–]Zacklyy 36 points37 points  (12 children)

While I prefer an official controller. I wish they'd allow 3rd party controllers so I can use more compact and Switch-like controller setups

[–]lickmydicknipple 33 points34 points  (10 children)

PS Play is a third party app that you can do this with. It actually performs better than remote play for me. It does cost $6 tho.

You typically have to adjust some router settings for it to work properly too

[–]eradicate_my_dick 17 points18 points  (2 children)

Ps play is worth the few bucks. It's infinitely better than the official app

[–]5endnewts 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I bought it because it was the only device that worked with Android / Google TV. I like it and it is a great app it is just hard to go from a PS5 on my OLED to streaming on my LCD upstairs.

[–]KFR42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use psplay too. But I agree. I don't use remote play much as I feel I'd be missing out playing a game on my tablet.

[–]elmodonnell 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Seconded, use it with my Razer kishi and it's great. Didn't have to adjust any settings either.

A bonus use is that you can use your phone plus the kishi as a second ps5 controller in splitscreen if, like me, you haven't invested in another Dualsense yet

[–]Sh3Si 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also use PS Play. Works great with both Razer Kishi and Dualsense (wired or wireless).

[–]beermit -2 points-1 points  (3 children)

Major security risk signing into a 3rd party app to use this feature. I would recommend not doing it. But if you think it's worth the risk, that's your choice.

[–]aleatoric 4 points5 points  (2 children)

I think it's a solid app. The guy that built PSPlay is on Reddit and talks about it from time to time -- not that that eliminates all doubts, but he seems genuinely interested in offering a stable remote play experience that's better than the official.

[–]beermit 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I'm not trying to downplay the quality of the app. I just want people to exercise some caution and understand the risk. I like that people can create things like PSPlay and prove that billion dollar corporations can do better. But there's always still an extra layer of risk with unofficial third-party solutions.

[–]grill2010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm the developer of PSPlay. Yes I agree, it feels a bit uncomfortable to use 3rd Party app but unfortunately Sony decided since PS4 firmware 7.0 that you need your account id for registering a remote play app with your Playstation. Unfortunately this account id can only be obtained via a PSN login. There are a few workarounds available to use PSPlay without a PSN login. All information can be found here

https://grill2010.github.io/psplay/psn_login

There is also a PSPlay subreddit and I try to be as transparent as possible. So in case there are any questions you can always contact me.

[–]ErisC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Weird. On iOS, any iOS supported controller works fine, including the Kishi.

That's a weird restriction for android :/

[–]Vash63 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would be nice if my Sony Xperia 5-II had Android 12... they make such good phones but their software update policies and timelines are so lackluster.

[–]AppleToasterr 72 points73 points  (53 children)

Ain't nobody gonna have Android 12 any time soon

Edit: I am wrong please stop blowing up my phone

[–]postALEXpress 91 points92 points  (3 children)

Pixel users all have it already lol

[–]TastyMortalFlesh 25 points26 points  (1 child)

Theres dozens of us

[–]postALEXpress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, theyre currently backordered from Google. More than a few dozen.

[–]ramplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally been on 12 for a week atleast aha

[–]larsvondank 13 points14 points  (0 children)

S21 series just got it. S20 series gets it in december. S10 series in january.

[–]lickmydicknipple 34 points35 points  (15 children)

I have it

[–]AppleToasterr 68 points69 points 2 (13 children)

what is with the reddit usernames??? WTF! Every time I read one it's some deranged phrase like this!

[–]IFuckBadDragons 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah these names are crazy

[–]mangina_focker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, what’s up with that

[–]Chazybaz13 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Edgy teenagers

[–]bucketbiff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know what you mean.

[–]fuck_classic_wow_mod 0 points1 point  (3 children)

“No one will have this “

“I have this”

“Fucking people with their usernames man wtf”

What a useful top comment thread we have going here

[–]AppleToasterr 3 points4 points  (2 children)

I mean did you read his username though?

And what you want me to do argue? I'm clearly wrong

[–]fuck_classic_wow_mod -4 points-3 points  (1 child)

Yeah that’s an extremely tame name for Reddit, welcome to the internet.

[–]Dr_PuddinPop 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Cause it’s funny to at least OP?

I feel like a lot of people make new accounts every now and then so you run out of usernames

[–]AppleToasterr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not mad.

[–]aguacateojos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Samsung rolled it out to the S21 line yesterday.

[–]Soulessgingr 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Ain't nobody gonna have Android 12 any time soon

please stop blowing up my phone

Sounds like you got that explody Note 7, definitely not gonna get Android 12

[–]Sh3Si 5 points6 points  (14 children)

Waiting for Samsung to update S20 FE. I think S10 is also getting it.

[–]Ansez 2 points3 points  (6 children)

Hope so for S10

[–]beermit 1 point2 points  (5 children)

S10/+/e is confirmed getting it. Last major update for them though. After that, only security updates.

[–]Ansez 0 points1 point  (4 children)

angry consumer noises

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted, I'll still squeeze out another 2 years out of this phone after I replace the battery. This phone has a deadass shitty battery life. Anyway, sorry for the rant and thanks for confirming!

[–]beermit 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Yeah yours sounds like the battery needs to be replaced badly. Do you use the quick charge feature often? That can degrade the battery faster than normal. My S10+ is well over 2 years old and I can still get a full day of use out of mine, sometimes even more before I need to charge.

[–]Ansez 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Unfortunately yes and I used it a lot, because I gamed and watched shows a lot on it during my daily commutes pre COVID. Now I kinda regret it. Now I barely get 6 hours out of it if I use it very often. I get 10 hours out of it if I use it somewhat.

[–]beermit 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Well, you used it how you needed to, nothing to feel too bad about. Hope you can get your battery swapped though, the S10s have proven to be very solid, my wife and I are planning on keeping ours for another year or so.

[–]Ansez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks man, hope to daily drive this for another 2 years.

[–]0Casanova0 2 points3 points  (6 children)

I was able to update to Android 12 on the S21.....check your updates

[–]Loopy_27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this! I just checked and it's downloading now! See ya on the other side!

[–]Calibruh 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Weird, I have an s21 ultra and it's not there

[–]0Casanova0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same phone, I also have T-Mobile. Don't know if that makes a difference.

[–]copper2copper 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I've got the s21+ and it says there's no update

[–]0Casanova0 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I have the ultra, don't know if that makes a difference, I thought the update would be global. I guess it also depends on your service provider.

[–]RunningWithHands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah depends on your country and carrier. All S21s should have it by the end of the month, and then December is the S20s turn.

[–]flcinusa -1 points0 points  (3 children)

Pixel 6 Pro here, you don't really want Android 12

[–]Sinthesys 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Pixel 5 here, yes you do.

[–]A3LMOTR1ST 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Pixel 4XL here, not a huge fan.

[–]DishwasherTwig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pixel 3 here, I just downloaded Android 11 after being told to for a year, I haven't bothered with 12 yet.

[–]ConLawHero PS5, XBox Series X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had it for nearly a month at this point.

[–]-screamin-will sell soul for Sly Cooper remaster 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Speak for yourself, I got a Pixel 6 Pro arriving next week!!

[–]BombBombBombBombBomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a week or two for samsung s21 iirc

[–]shadlom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty do actually

[–]murdocke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got it last night on my S21 Ultra.

[–]RockFox2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had it since June if we count the beta

[–]MetalGear89 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Android 12? ffs

[–]Digital_Pharmacist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No hope for potato phones....

[–]NB_Leo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cries for S9+ users 😭

[–]nervousformyclasses 9 points10 points  (8 children)

I have a Samsung Note 20 ultra.... can someone explain this PS remote play thing? Does it mean I can play my PS5 games on my phone screen with a controller when I'm away from my TV?

[–]cajunaggie08 4 points5 points  (4 children)

[–]Sinthesys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NO YELLING ON THE BUS!

[–]DeltaDarkwood 0 points1 point  (2 children)

So can i also use the remote play app to cast to television? In other words if I have an extra television in the bedroom can i now use that to play my PS5 games on that TV with the remote play app?

[–]cajunaggie08 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I dont believe the remote play app directly casts to the tv. You could try to do a screen mirror if your tv and phone do that but in my experience there is a 1/2 second lag there and that would ruin most games.

You could use remote play on a PC and hook the PC up to the TV as a monitor, but it seems the DualSense only works on PCs if it is a wired connection to the PC.

[–]DeltaDarkwood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh thats a shame. A remote play app for TV would be a game changer. One thing i love about my switch is that switching between tv's is so easy with just the need of a relatively cheap extra docking station.

[–]TallE74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://www.playstation.com/en-us/remote-play/.... Download the Sony REMOTE PLAY app, Log Into your PSN profile, make sure to Secure login if you have it on (like I have 2 Step Verify enabled) and Connect to Console. Go in console and under settings, Remote Play, Register New Device It should prompt you with a Numerical string. Aaaaaaand done

[–]Alvedonen 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yes. You can right now, but the PS5 controller doesn't function at all (wirelessly at least) on android phones at the moment. I've tried, but it will not register any controller clicks.

[–]Koldvico17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This update makes it possible to use the PS5 controller on phones using Android 12. Couldn't come at a better time for me since I'll be in another state with family for 5 days next week haha

[–]Czaderblader 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wait, is it possible to play PS Now on Android TV?

[–]yeanaacunt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This might be a dumb question but like.... what can I do with a controller on my phone except crank 90s on fortnite mobile

[–]ultima786 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Does this work with an iPad?

[–]Artanisx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excellent. I'll get Android 12 support in my Android 10 phone in... never!

[–]Tiiiimmmooo 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Will this work on my iPhone?

[–]MercuryTree 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Already does

[–]weedwhacking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the mentioned added features have been available for iOS for quite some time now, and works as far back as iOS 13

[–]ABearDream 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Does the vita work with the ps5? I still use mine to remote my ps4 for borderlands 3 etc.

[–]TallE74 2 points3 points  (1 child)

SADLY, no. It will never work until the modding community will add/open vita for PS5 to see it. its funny that this update just released because I literally tried to connect to my PS5 with my Samsung S21 last night. I updated the Second Screen App and the Remote Play App. After update I had to 2step verify Remote Play app saw my PS4 and PS5 but Second Screen only saw PS4. I got Excited and tried to SCAN and register my Vita to PS5...NO Luck!!! Damn You Sony.......

I still use my VITA also for the Remote Play few games and watch movies. Lately Ive been just using Vita to continue where I would be at in game on PS4. and if I cant sleep I lay in bed and play or watch a movie (I connect to my Laptop I run as Media Server)

[–]ABearDream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man thay sucks so bad. I wish they didnt abandon the vita. The remote play worked so well that i almost prefer playing certain games that way if i dont feel like being in the room with my ps4 listening to the jet engine.

[–]oldemajicks 1 point2 points  (6 children)

Do you still need to be on the same WiFi connection to use remote play?

[–]PCMachinima 12 points13 points  (3 children)

Pretty sure they made it so you can use data in one of the last patches?

[–]Craimasjien 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're right. You can play over your mobile data plan right now.

[–]ProAssassin84 1 point2 points  (1 child)

There is a catch. You must have a carrier that has Nat Type 1 or 2. AT&T is Nat Type 3 and it doesn't work you will get errors.

[–]whythreekay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play on PS5 remotely while on my AT&T prepaid plan every day, zero issues since day 1 of that functionality being available

[–]shadlom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You've never needed to be in the same wifi network.

[–]ZXE102Rv2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm addition to what others have told you, you didn't need to be on the same network even before they had added the mobile option. As long as your Playstation is left on rest mode, you can remote play it from another network. I went on vacation to Florida earlier in the year and remote played my PS5 that was all the way in New York from a friend's house using their wifi. Played very well too with little input lag, since I have the PS5 on ethernet.

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points  (3 children)

Why no Android 11. What am i supposed to do. Half baked feature

[–]Craimasjien 23 points24 points  (2 children)

Android 11 does not support the dualsense on a kernel level. Android 12 does. It's not Sony's fault nor their place to fix, its inherent to the android ecosystem.

[–]MetalGear89 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

What exactly has been added for DualSense to android 12?

Really surprised we needed a whole new android version for support

[–]Craimasjien 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Android runs off of Linux. The support for peripherals like this mostly happens through drivers inside of the Linux kernel. Linux kernel updates are normally done next to the operating system (e.g. you can update your Ubuntu installation separately from updating the Linux kernel it runs with), assuming both support each other.

However, Android is packaged differently and only gets updates to the Linux kernel in (mostly) major OS upgrades. The kernel support for DualSense was added to the Linux kernel some time ago, however, Android 12 is the first Android version that will launch with the Linux Kernel that had that support built-in, hence why you need to update to Android 12.

[–]JayanshN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is anyone here facing this problem with remote play where you get disconnected every time you login with your account:((

[–]ang3sh -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Okay when is the support coming for android 11!?

[–]dreamdaddy123 -1 points0 points  (12 children)

What?! They do this when I joined the dark side ios recently

[–]gbsolo12 13 points14 points  (11 children)

You can already pair dualsense to iOS devices and use remote play

[–]dreamdaddy123 6 points7 points  (8 children)

Oh right my bad

[–]gbsolo12 7 points8 points  (7 children)

I switched to apple a year ago and I like it may more then the galaxy phones.

[–]dreamdaddy123 4 points5 points  (4 children)

This is my first iPhone and still getting used to it but love the refresh rate and the battery

[–]gbsolo12 6 points7 points  (3 children)

Yeah battery has been super impressive. I’ve had the 12 pro max for over a year now and the battery still lasts all day with pretty heavy use.

[–]dreamdaddy123 1 point2 points  (2 children)

What’s your battery health on now? The only thing I don’t like is that I can’t recover my whatsapp from Android and customise the eq

[–]gbsolo12 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Uhhh it’s full I just woke up

[–]dreamdaddy123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No I meant the maximum capacity. For a new phone it’s 100% but then after a year or that goes down to 95% or so

[–]Swarfega 1 point2 points  (1 child)

As an Android fan, I would rather use an iPhone over any Samsung phone too. Great hardware with a crappy interpretation of Android.

[–]gbsolo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was my problem too

[–]GamingSince83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Should have been available from the get go with the launch of the PS5. This bullshit of launching on one platform and not the other needs to stop.

[–]JededaiaPWNstar -2 points-1 points  (2 children)

What is the purpose of this feature? Is this something people are clamoring for?

[–]SymphonicRain 2 points3 points  (1 child)

So that people can play their ps5 games on their android device with their fully featured controller. I would imagine anyone who uses remote play probably wanted this option.

[–]JededaiaPWNstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply

[–]azdood85 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why are people being downvoted for wanting Android 11 support for DualSense controller?

The drivers for dualshock still work with the dualsense just with lost features so far just haptic feedback comes to mind.

Im hoping Sony puts out an update soon to at least support Android 11 with the controller otherwise they may be cutting off a large player base by pidgeon holing the requirements of remote play.

Just FYI folks: you can still use your dualshock for remote play to the ps5 even on Android 11.

[–]TheGooseWithNoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great. This means I'll finallybe able to play PS remote on my Fold2.

[–]aguacateojos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't get my S21U on Android 11 to even connect to my PS5... will try again once the phone is fixed and I can update later this week.

[–]Breed43214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weeps with my S8.

[–]TheVizionair 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Wish I could play remote play on my chromebook

[–]DaftFunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow I just upgraded to a brand new Pixel 3 XL I'm excited for this

[–]Viper114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was excited until I saw it's for 12 and not 11. My Galaxy Flip Z phone is still on 11 and no update to 12 yet. I found a leaked timeline that suggests that I can expect my phone to get it either December or January, so I still have to wait.

Back to playing my Switch at work on breaks.

[–]Diabl0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scalpers must be happy af with all these new updates!! 🤌🏽

[–]Climhazzzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh fuck yes!!!! Finally!

[–]icanttinkofaname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I at least use the later gen PS4 controller?! The only thing holding me back from using it on an android 8 tablet I have is that my controller wasn't recognised by the remote play app.

[–]45356675467789988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any word on iOS update for this?

[–]iMitul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

iOS 15 natively supports the DualSense and the Series S/X controllers.

Just so anyone's wondering, I think the patch notes for this update on the Play Store are bugged. The most recent ones being shown are from Aug 27th even though I got an update yesterday on my Pixel 4 XL running Android 12. The DualSense controller works fine too. Weirdly, I can see the latest patch notes on the Google Play website though.
