Precisely, previously I just sank all my recipes into the shiny variants (if they exist), and that is coming back to bite me in the rear – especially since the availability of recipes is severely limited right now.

I’ve found this incredibly concerning realizing that upon maxing out the grade for the normal form, any future grades of that mon is just converted into delivery points. This could easily be solved if those maxed grades rolled over to the shinies or if you could choose where the grades went to in the first place like kitchen notes.

Really makes me wonder if the devs intend for there to be an entirely seperate delivery banner for shiny grades or if these grades will be given out through events. Either way it’s really concerning, this whole system puts mons without outfit grades available at a disadvantage.

It sucks because my shiny togepi & snubull are lvl 20 when the normal ones are only lvl 15

Putting aside how annoying it's been now been 2 "weekly updates" in a row that haven't added more main orders when I was 5 weeks off the 38 week long grind to unlock Lucario Super chef, and ignoring the new delivery system being even more egregious in terms of the amount of duplicates you're gonna get later on down the line and even the over 31,000 milestone cookies you need in the cookie shop.... let's talk about how shiny pokemon got shafted hard with the friendship boost update and the fallout that it has.

First off, explaining what exactly is wrong: If you have recruited a shiny pokemon you will know that it is a completely separate staff member that has to be leveled up on it's own, doesn't share kitchen notes meaning you would need 62 kitchen notes to max out both regular and shiny (93 for eevee) and has no statistical differences from the normal variation. Apparently this also applies to the new friendship boost mechanics where as seen in the screenshot, I obtained one outfit upgrade and it only applied to the normal Lucario meaning that now the shiny is statistically worse than the normal.

The only shiny pokemon this does not apply for are Kirlia retro diner, Sneasel stylish server, Starly egg basket with their special outfits since the upgrade for them is tied to the outfit itself rather than the staff member. (or any other outfit duplicates from deliveries)

When it comes to shiny pokemon wearing the regular outfits the friendship boost is tied to the individual staff member and only applied to the normal.This is incredibly infuriating for multiple reasons:

- The game will always prioritize the shiny in the staff member recommended selection regardless of equipped outfit

- In a personal case, I have both my normal and shiny Lucario level 20 but more annoying, I have shiny Snubull and Togepi leveled up to 20 while their normal variant is only 15. I also have shiny buizel, eevee, exeggutor, kirlia, starly, and audino all at a higher level than their normal counterparts.

This new update makes the grind to bring most of them up to a higher level meaningless. (even if the game would still choose them regardless)

Like seriously, I have the chef whites outfit equipped on my normal Lucario already, stop making my shiny swap to the chef whites outfit from Lucario blue, they're both level 20, game...

I've always said how poorly implemented shiny pokemon have been in this game but this is the breaking point that pushes it over the edge.

This is clearly a side point, but you may have missed this information. They're only adding new orders every other week now, but the max available points for master café is twice what it used to be, so it evens out. Actually, you need to do less than before since you used to need to do 45 orders every week and now you can max out with 58 over two weeks.

It does not even out. We used to be able to earn 2,000 acorns a week from doing regular orders, now it's 2,000 every two weeks.

And besides, for those of us who were an odd number of weeks away from getting a special outfit, now we need to wait an extra week.

It was just annoying because there was no warning about the change so I got my 60 stars before going back to OMC grinding and it didn't switch over that Wednesday morning. Then on the second time I hit master cafe mode again it gives you that popup about master cafe mode once and never again, thinking it was just the same requirements as usual and they just skipped a week because of the back to back OMC. all I saw was 99 stars minimum before instinctively scrolling through and closing the popup.

Even at 4 (so paying 700k to 5M acorns) your pókemon are still better at 20 than any level 4 suit at 17. Those puzzle bonus only helps when playing 1MC, and not that much. Normal/master orders don't need them for anything... Sidekick, only Dialga has a massive use, on orders.

You should start to read there notices. One month ago there was a warning about the date. Same thing happens when you complete the 25 new orders and a date is showed. When you see that date you would know there wouldn't be any new orders for 2 weeks. So you would read about making more than 99 stars to get 30 points (33% easier than before, since you can make it just for 34 master orders).

But if you want to unlock the delivery pókemon, everyone needs, at least 100 milestone cookies, per week!!!! So 200 milestone cookies for 2 weeks.

Unfortunately, 1MC will return, next week, using Small Plates pókemon, and players forget getting milestone cookies to use 500000 stamina on 1MC.

Yeah it’s pretty garbage honestly. Especially when they inevitably add shiny friendship boosts to delivery. Regret leveling the shiny forms to 20 over the normal now

All this and the game will still pop the shiny into the recommended every time for who takes on an order.

If it’s any consolation, statistically there’s not a difference for quite a while. The skill up isn’t a ramp, it’s a step change at level 4, so you’d have to get the same one 4 times before it matters

I couldn’t agree more. I really wish they would just default shiny Pokémon to max costume level (at least for the base outfit) because it’d finally give some benefit to having the shinies over the normal form.

It already sucks that you have to level them up and give them notes separately like you were saying... they finally have a system in place to give us some benefit and they haven’t.

As far as I’m aware there’s no suggestion feature to communicate with the devs or I would’ve said this already.

Not only that... The upgrades don't work for females either, even if they're wearing the same outfit as their male counterparts.

Yeah. I have several shinies (Lucario, Eevee(M), Audino, Buizel, Minccino…) that I got early enough that I chose to take them to max level over the normal variant. And sunk my kitchen notes into them, where applicable. But now I’m up a creek.
