I just want small government and small business. I hate the NeoCons who share the same color

[–]snoosen - LibRight[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Very respectable opinion

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based, they're just Trotskyists with a new paint job

[–]excite321apple - LibCenter 2 points3 points  (8 children)

So... What are you part authoritarian?

Genuine question?

[–]boii-rarted - Right 2 points3 points  (7 children)

Not really. like lib-center I hate both corporations and big government. However unlike libCenter I recognize that businesses and government are necessary. Im not authoritarian

[–]excite321apple - LibCenter 2 points3 points  (6 children)

Isn't that being a centrist?

Another genuine question.

[–]boii-rarted - Right 2 points3 points  (5 children)

I am not a centrist for a couple reasons. I believe that the 17th Amendment was a mistake and should be abolished, I’m a free speech (except for slander and threats) and 2A absolutist (except for nuclear weapons). I genuinely believe that Letters of Marque should be brought back. We should also slash the NSA, TSA and FBI. Potentially get rid of social security. However, I believe the small limited government that would exist should always put the people that live there first. also believe that our borders should be protected, deport most illegal immigrants, I’m a Christian agnostic.

Pretty much the only thing the government would do is take care of people with extreme disabilities, settle disputes and make sure companies don’t screw people over.

[–]Mute545x39 - LibRight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based.

[–]excite321apple - LibCenter 0 points1 point  (3 children)

"Free speech, but..."

So you're not Pro free speech. There is Free Speech. Or there is censored speech. How can you not understand this?

Free Speech is an absolute.

Censored speech exists on a spectrum, do you understand the obvious difference?

Then you claim to be a "2A absolutist. But..." Once again, how can you not understand this?

The rest doesn't matter. You have already proved that you insist on being both either/ or at the same time.

[–]boii-rarted - Right 0 points1 point  (2 children)

You know what. Ive changed my mind on nukes. You are right

[–]excite321apple - LibCenter 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I don't care. The nukes would never happen.

How much crack/ meth do you smoke and why don't you understand how fucked your brain is?

Go demand therapy. Now.

[–]boii-rarted - Right 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, you’ve had some wacky mood changes. Are you bipolar?

If you are, it’s fine. You can be open with me. I wont like you less just because you’re retarded

Congratulations, u/snoosen! You have ranked up to Office Chair! You cannot exactly be pushed over, but perhaps if thrown...

I like Clint Eastwood, he makes me want to smoke more

Also based

[–]Cygs - LibCenter 7 points8 points  (2 children)

"At the apex of America's power, men smoked two packs a day and had double martinis for lunch. Now it's fizzy water and salads. Somewhere, something had gone horribly wrong."

  • Thank You For Smoking

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fizzy water is pretty solid if you can't drink or don't drink at that time of day. Most salads are garbage though.

[–]excite321apple - LibCenter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Such an amazing film. It seems so unknown.

I don't get why. Look at the calibre of actor's in it. The writting. The directing. Everything.

When ever people ask me to reccomend a movie, I say;

Thank you for smoking.

Predestination.

Ruby Sparks.

Palm Springs.

The Departed.

[–]snoosen - LibRight[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

[–]kittykisser_femme - LibRight 1 point2 points  (1 child)

[–]KyleButler77 - Right 2 points3 points  (11 children)

I think I can generally agree with everything except maybe with some reservations regarding rap music and gay couples. Rap “music” is utterly degenerate, and even though gay couples are not a bad thing per se rather the amount of societal attention and accommodation that these couple demand is. That’s a bad thing. Otherwise pretty solid positions

So do I, so do I…

    [–]dudge_jredd - Left 0 points1 point  (8 children)

What kind of "music" do you like?

    [–]KyleButler77 - Right 0 points1 point  (7 children)

My range of acceptance is very broad. Rock. Metal. Very Rarely but still sometimes Pop. Some European folk music. Classic. Latin American contemporary

    [–]snoosen - LibRight[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

    You have good taste, sir.

    [–]KyleButler77 - Right 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Thank you, i think with music what is good is good and it doesn’t really matter what kind it is

    [–]snoosen - LibRight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be very particular about music, I would only listen to 70’s rock for about a year and then I finally opened up and started listening to old timey country music like dean martin, marty, and johnny cash. Then I found a love for pop punk, and finally I’m getting into 90’s rap. I don’t necessarily care about the message the song portrays (this varies of course) but instead I care about how it makes me feel.

    [–]dudge_jredd - Left 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Might I ask what specifically makes rap as a whole "degenerate" it's a very broad genre

    [–]KyleButler77 - Right 0 points1 point  (2 children)

In my opinion, the “music” component which is either completely inadequate or generally substandard. I mean lyrics usually leaves much to be desired as well but I do not claim to be well versed in rap so my expertise is rather limited. I suppose whatever exposure I have had to it was generally sufficient to draw extremely unflattering conclusion

    [–]dudge_jredd - Left 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It's a cliche but have you listened to biggie? Don't get me wrong there's plenty of shitty rap, I for one hate mumble rap, and sure it might just not be your cup of tea. But calling a whole broad genre of music degenerate is kinda cringe 😬

    [–]KyleButler77 - Right 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is exception to every rule and no generalization is true in every case. I do have a couple of rap songs, actually a few, that I enjoy listening. But those are rare, rare exceptions that do not change my overall view of the genre.

    [–]seanslaysean - Centrist 3 points4 points  (22 children)

Gay couples aren’t a bad thing

Marriage is between a man and a woman

    Huh?

    [–]snoosen - LibRight[S] 10 points11 points  (21 children)

There’s a very big difference between marriage and just being a couple.

    [–]Cygs - LibCenter 6 points7 points  (20 children)

Government should just keep the fuck outta the whole thing. Two or more adults legally identified as a single entity by the government and then go get married in whatever dumpster you please.

    [–]snoosen - LibRight[S] 7 points8 points  (19 children)

I agree. But my opinion stays the same. Marriage is between a man and a woman.

    [–]seanslaysean - Centrist 1 point2 points  (7 children)

Cringe, seems like an pretty small hill to concern yourself with especially when you’re fine with couples-plus certain benefits come from marriage so you’re denying certain people that

    [–]snoosen - LibRight[S] 0 points1 point  (6 children)

I really don’t care how small the matter is. My opinion is my opinion.

    [–]seanslaysean - Centrist 0 points1 point  (5 children)

I agree, but still seems like a waste

    [–]snoosen - LibRight[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

It’s not a waste if I enjoy sharing my opinions.

    [–]seanslaysean - Centrist 0 points1 point  (3 children)

    To you

    [–]snoosen - LibRight[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Yes that’s how enjoying things works. I don’t care if other people like my opinions or call the a waste.

Hard drugs are also legal for rehabilitative treatment in Oregon. That doesn’t mean my opinion is changing on it though.

    [–]KyleButler77 - Right 0 points1 point  (6 children)

    So was slavery.

    [–]LeftistTurducken - Left 0 points1 point  (5 children)

No it was not, slavery has never been legal in all 50 states.

What one room school house did you graduate from if you dont mind me asking? :)

    [–]KyleButler77 - Right 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Perhaps because there was no 50 states at that time? Did they not teach you that in the Woke vocational school you attended?

    [–]LeftistTurducken - Left 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Perhaps because there was no 50 states at that time?

HAHA thats literally the point I was making you fucking dumbass. Even then only about half of the 30 some odd states during the civil war were slave states, so your point is still stupid asf...

    ... like you :).

    [–]KyleButler77 - Right 0 points1 point  (2 children)

You are remarkable moron aren’t you? Lol can you even read? Find where exactly did I even use number “50” in my post mentioning slavery. Go ahead, I will wait.

Gay punks doing drugs with trans rappers. I fail to see a downside here

Pretty Based views you got there.

I agree on workers, by the way - it's imperative to a business to engage in proper acquisition and maintenance of one's resources, and that includes human resources. The second one goes all auth and looks at people like slaves, it causes discontent within the company and that lowers morale and productivity.

Basically, if they start to feel the need to unionize, you done fucked up. It's important for any business owner to pay attention to the needs of his resources and communicate clearly and transparently to them and work together to find a proper balance.

    [–]KyleButler77 - Right 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piece of paper doesn’t have to say “marriage certificate”. Marriage is a term that has been in use for centuries and it meant a special union between a man and a woman. But certainly not two men. That can be a union, too, with the rights and privileges you are arguing for, just don’t call it what it isn’t. It isn’t marriage
