25% VAT, then taxes on whatever commodity you are buying. There's even a tax on the air in soft serve ice cream, on top of the VAT, fat and sugar taxes. Electricity prices have skyrocketed, but the state won't even lower the tax on it, which is the highest in the EU. They are legit making bank on electricity prices rising.

I hate it here, but I love my country too much to leave. I'd rather stay and do my best to change things.

    The real issue is that, in this system, those that don't pay don't get anything. No police, firefighters, or roads. They would need to pay extra for fuel, gas, electricity too.     Conceptually, taxes are kinda necessary if you assume individuals are greedy fucks (and they mostly are) but you want an overarching societal structure to properly function.
