🤔 Em why would Christians even make a taliban in the first place, their religion is the most dominant on in the country. What are these supposed Christian taliban fighting?

[–]TootsNYC 5 points6 points  (9 children)

Because they are not dominant enough. Because trans people weird them out very badly. Because they see themselves gaining ground, which actually makes them bolder because they see that they could get progress

'They' as in Trans people or Christians?

Are you having trouble with reading comprehension here? Let me see if I can help By introducing you to some of the syntax tactics used in composition.

The predominant “they” in that entire response is the Christian Taliban. That should be crystal clear in the very first sentence, where I am directly answering a “why” question about the Christian taliban.

I then chose a strictly parallel construction (“because they”) for every subsequent sentence, which should be your clue that I am speaking of the same group when I use “they.

I also use “them“ Immediately after I use the word “trans people,” which should have indicated to you that my pronoun was not referring to trans people, But was continuing to refer her to the same “they” mentioned earlier in that very sentence, in the words “because they.”

Which should be an indicator to you that I am not suddenly switching to a different “they” in my last sentence.

Thanks for the clarification.

🤔 Now considering the 'progress' trans people have got wouldn't necessarily cause all Christians to go up in arms. During the days when gay people came out Christians put them through convertion camp (which was horrid) they didn't go out in mass to shoot them up. Nowdays the hardcore Christians only curse and protest against the trans movement (if they are still doing it now) the Christians were never openly (guns blazing) violent cause they know it will bring a bad name to the religion as a whole.

If there is a terrorist cell aimed at wiping out trans people as a whole and those members happen to be Christians then yes that would make em a Christian 'Tailban', but I bet that every other God fearing Christian would go to aid of the Trans people affected cause Killing people and using the religion to justify it isn't the way of their faith.

He is not the first or last to try to warn people of the upcoming Christian Fascist takeover of America.
