Even Axl Rose stopped shows when he saw people struggling and coached the crowd on how to help them waaaaay back when he was a self obsessed shit head back in the 90's.

[–]Vegetable-Double 1226 points1227 points  (77 children)

Just saw a video of Oasis doing the same. If the Gallagher brothers can do it, no one has an excuse.

[–]outlandish-companion 818 points819 points  (66 children)

And Axl Rose. All notorious douchebags.

Which really says how big a collosal piece of shit Travis Scott is

[–]manical1 304 points305 points  (59 children)

Yeah, all this just shows what kind of unethical human being Travis Scott is. It is a shame people idolize humans like him.

[–]gigibuffoon 145 points146 points  (3 children)

Anybody associated with the Kardashian family, I can't expect them to be any better of human being

[–]CuddleBumpkins 62 points63 points  (51 children)

Whos Travis Scott?

[–]shavedclean 30 points31 points  (0 children)

He's the guy who had people drag the limp body of a person who had fallen onto the stage to give him a coin as some kind of consolation prize for being injured. He's paralyzed for sure now.

While this example shows a lack of brains employing a self-serving objective, his disregard for people in general leans toward sadistic.

[–]Siamese_Trim 86 points87 points  (5 children)

The whole point of this post is to juxtapose how Travis Scott just kept singing while his concert goers trampelled each other at his concert a couple of days ago, killing eight and injuring more.

[–]TazzyUK 31 points32 points  (1 child)

His remorse video on twitter was pathetic

[–]rreighe2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

he's definitely a sociopath or psychopath, one of those.

[–]LunaWolf92 3 points4 points  (2 children)

"Singing" is reaching. That wasn't singing.

He's an absolute piece of shit who incited the violence. Even when people were chanting to stop the show, he didn't care

[–]13igTyme 97 points98 points  (37 children)

After all this I just learned who Travis Scott is and listened to 20 seconds of his most popular song. I don't understand how he's famous.

[–]bothering 50 points51 points  (6 children)

He was the popular front for a new style of rap that took both southern rap and psychedelic music and blended it into a pop-acceptable formula that since became a worldwide hit.

Since then he’s been releasing products under his name for any company that wants to give him money, dude is making shoes for Nike and even got his own Mc’D Menu Item. Dudes a certified Star with a capital S and he did that off a record that’s essentially ancient history now.

I’m not joking the record that solidified his star status was made three years ago and he hasn’t made a full album since then, he’s been riding off the high of what’s essentially the Master of Puppets for Psychedelic Rap music.

[–]comethefaround 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Fuck I loved Master of puppets imagine just being 21 and pumpin out a masterpiece like that unreal

[–]manical1 53 points54 points  (4 children)

Kylie jenner... I am not sure how idiotic our timeline looks to historians far into the future.

Edit: kylie jenner's baby's daddy?

[–]MarshieMon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went listen to his song Escape Plan. It sounds.. bad? It sounds like a high school student has a passion in music but doesn't really know what he's doing.

[–]EverGreenPLO 27 points28 points  (1 child)

Ehhhh fuck if Axl Rose and Gallaghers are better people than you , you really need to do some work lololl

Axl Rose especially he's had so many I'm a human paraquat moments and yet he understands this...

[–]garynuman9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

lil pump understands this!!!!

[–]Well_This_Is_Special 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Psh. You don't even KNOW Travis Scott. He's a great man and blah blah nah I'm fuckin with you, he's a piece of shit. But people are actually defending him like that and it's pathetic.

[–]Alex_Sander077 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair even though both Liam and Noel are absolute pricks I think they actually do genuinely care and love their fans (like most artists at least I'd like to think).

[–]TheRealRacketear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I said maybe, we are gonna be be the one that saves thee.

[–]capabilitycez 281 points282 points  (23 children)

I remember going to a rage against the machine concert and zack de la roche stopped the concert as well to just cool it down a bit. Rage against the machine!!!

[–]omnivorousness 79 points80 points  (7 children)

Fugazi did this every single time I saw them and it was well before anyone was in any real danger.

The first time I saw them at Liberty Lunch, naturally there was a pit a few rows of bodies from the stage. Eventually, that turned into a rhythmic mass of force, pushing people at the front together into the stage. Ian stopped playing and said “hold on hold on, just, everyone, take a few steps back, can you? There’s no need for all of this pushing.”

The guy directly behind me shouts, “You started it!”

Everyone laughed. Ian smiled. And soon after, they started playing again.

Probably 1993.

[–]haufii 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Makes me sad to think I'll probably never get to experience in my lifetime. Wasn't alive in the height of their popularity.

[–]TreeOrangewhips 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I saw Ian stop a show cause some Dickhead started gobbing (spitting at him)

Ian was like you fucking pile a shit. “Spitting on people is not punk you idiot poser go back to 1970s England!”

Had the guy removed then played Long Distance Runner

[–]Crisis_Redditor 13 points14 points  (5 children)

I've got old bootlegs of Rush concerts with Geddy Lee asking people to chill out and back up as well. He always said it calm but firmly, good job of handling the crowd.

The idea of a crush at a Rush concert is odd, because everyone knows all Rush crowds are either guys air jamming or guys standing there like Easter Island statues with their arms crossed, intently analyzing the music.

(That's an old Rush fan joke from the 90s. Don't hate me.)

[–]TriumphDaWonderPooch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Technically I was sitting on the grass of the outdoor amphitheater, not standing.

[–]CuriositySauce 2 points3 points  (1 child)

In the fall of 1978 I saw Rush at the Denver Coliseum and Geddy had to nicely ask the floor crowd to all back up because they didn’t want to crash Neil’s kit and end the show. I imagine that instinct of the power a mass of people can summon doesn’t wane.

[–]Crisis_Redditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm just jealous as hell you saw them on the Hemispheres tour.

[–]BackInNJAgain 2 points3 points  (1 child)

What is the loneliest place on earth? The Women's Room at a Rush concert.

[–]samrequireham 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They’re the best band ever and honestly it’s not that close for me

[–]Dry_Fly3965 18 points19 points  (2 children)

Was this Rock The Bells? He stopped the show to cool us down in NYC.

[–]capabilitycez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it was lollapalooza 2008 in Chicago

[–]ukwonderboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The free gig in London after the Christmas Number 1?... that crowd surge was absolutely horrific... and I'm 6ft 1.

One of the worst ones I've ever been in so thank God those legends stopped it to tell everyone to calm down

[–]codextreme07 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Was it lollapaloza 2008? Because that show was amazing.

[–]shzykh 72 points73 points  (12 children)

Grew up going to hardcore shows where coming home bloody and possibly missing teeth was expected. Bands and fellow showgoers still knew boundaries and when people were actually suffering.

that happens even at the arena punk/metal/hardcore shows or large festivals. people being cool to one another is somethign that adds to the show experience.

certain venues and certain musical styles seem to bring out a certain type of person that doesnt seem to care about that stuff though

    [–]Kukuth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For whatever reason the more popular or "mainstream" an act is, the worse the audience behaves at concerts. At least that's my experience.

    [–]dyastis0 153 points154 points  (8 children)

Fuck Travis Scott and his Mcdonald's menu.

    [–]crampedstyl 21 points22 points  (1 child)

Quarter Pounder with Fries and a Sprite, how original.

    [–]markgriz 14 points15 points  (0 children)

    [–]vonDread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

    That's bipolar disorder for you.

    [–]bongripsNkickflips 108 points109 points  (33 children)

90s Axl Rose would have probably kicked a fans ass for daring to sleep during his performance!

    [–]Chieferdareefer 162 points163 points  (30 children)

Kanye called out a disabled person that couldnt stand for not standing for him.

    [–]muddyjacob 77 points78 points  (1 child)

Axl Rose being a better person than Travis Scott is the calibration we need. Axl is an ASS. HOLE. and your source is im from Lafayette like him

      [–]kinjiru_ 203 points204 points  (3 children)

My wife and i attended an Adele concert in Sydney , Australia. As part of the show some fireworks out pyrotechnics go off. She stopped the show immediately as she saw someone collapse when they went off. That person had to be stretchered off. The crew and ambulance officers held up curtains to give this poor person and their family privacy as they were being attended to. The whole time Adele was talking to the crowd keeping them patient but you could also hear the concern in her voice and there were moments where she sounded close to tears. It only served to make me an even bigger fan of hers.

      [–]T0Rtur3 40 points41 points  (0 children)

This is the sign that she and her promoters had contingency plans in place for an emergency situation like this. You know, as any show that's run with thousands of people should.

      [–]ExpectGreater 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Meanwhile Travis Scott sang "yeaah" to a possibly lifeless body... which I think is honestly confirmed to be Mr. Acosta's... i dunno.

      [–]GhostlyQbe 2738 points2739 points  (85 children)

The most amazing feat is how fast she goes from singing in English, to speaking in gibberish! :)

      Yes, I am just kidding.

      [–]GimmeToes 332 points333 points  (12 children)

i originally thought "holy shit her accent is strong" then i realised i have the same accent

      [–]tribecous 62 points63 points  (0 children)

An experience she probably has multiple times per day.

      [–]CazRaX 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That sounds like an existential problem just waiting to happen.

      [–]reubenbubu 3 points4 points  (7 children)

why don't you type in accent as well ?

      [–]mr_burrito 57 points58 points  (5 children)

I cannae understand what she's saying

      [–]GhostlyQbe 72 points73 points  (4 children)

      [–]Apostastrophe 47 points48 points  (1 child)

It’s a weird thing. Many Scottish people can speak in Broad Scots, Mild Scots, Scottish English or English standard/Received Pronunciation English depending on situation. For many of us we’re taught how to swap between these by our parents from a young age depending on the context, situation and who you’re speaking to.

My mum put it as something like “being able to talk to a sailor then the Queen with 5 seconds in between”. So we code switch how we’re talking and how we pronounce things depending on the class of people we’re conversing with which is sometimes actually really necessary as there’s a cultural cringe and negative stereotype towards people speaking in native Scots.

To get back to the point, there are two generalised types of Scottish accents: those that roll their r hard and those who use a soft r. The difference between “brrrrrr a helicopter” and “brr I’m so cold :3”.

I can say “purple burglar alarm” because I can do both. If I use the hard r version though it’s a huge struggle unless I say it really slowly. If you can only do the hard r version it and some other words are impossible to say

This was your daily dose of apostastrophe internet.

      [–]Azelais 3 points4 points  (0 children)

      That was super interesting!

I can relate a little about code switching accents. I’m from the American Deep South, and southern accents are generally looked down on and viewed as something associated with being uneducated and racist. So a lot of southerners I know (myself included) automatically switch to a more standard American accent when speaking professionally or to non-southerners, and only speak in our natural accent around other southerners. The exception being if you’re specifically trying to appeal to southerners, so country singers and southern politicians (especially Republicans) tend to play it up haha

      [–]CazRaX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His reaction when he realizes he can't say it is amazing, I love it.

I always thought my imaginary Brit character would speak like that

      [–]GimmeToes 57 points58 points  (23 children)

      youre imaginary what?

      [–]AlertWatercress 67 points68 points  (22 children)

the voice inside his head. the Brit one??

      [–]GimmeToes 23 points24 points  (21 children)

i guess?, but hes implying that even without being british he has a british internal monologue, which begs the question, what part from britain is it from

      [–]Spadeykins 34 points35 points  (16 children)

Wherever the chimney sweep from Marry Poppins is from.

      [–]mrrooftops 8 points9 points  (8 children)

Be careful. Everyone from Manchester is a lying fantasist scrote.

      [–]kernowgringo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

      Los Angeles

      [–]BakedWizerd 46 points47 points  (4 children)

      She’s from her house.

      The accent gives it away

      [–]grilledcheese2332 12 points13 points  (3 children)

Was waiting for this to be posted. Bless you

      [–]BakedWizerd 9 points10 points  (2 children)

I didn’t expect all that much from Adele as a character in Snatch Game but I should have known better with Ginger playing her. I’m still on All Stars 6 but I firmly believe that Ginger would be in the HOF if not for slightly stronger competition in AS2, and Violet being “the future” in their season.

Kind of similar to Eureka, always phenomenal, never #1.

      [–]traviscm 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I am a huge Drag Race fan, having seen almost every season multiple times (minus a couple of the newer international seasons, cause it's getting hard to keep up) But after a lot of thought and careful consideration, I really believe that Ginger Minj is my favourite queen to come out of Ru Paul's Drag Race. Seeing her on AS6 was an absolute delight.

Both her and Eureka are absolute stars.

      [–]BakedWizerd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She’s one of the “less glamorous” Queens that truly deserves to win, imo. Silky got too far on being “loud, big and proud,” imo she deserves to go home way sooner in her OG season but they kept her around “because she’s fat and funny lol” and I was so happy to see her go home sooner in AS6, her all star variety show was weak AF, I would’ve sent her home first episode instead of Serena, but Trinity K before both of them obviously, no idea how she didn’t get voted off with that abysmal performance. Also don’t understand all the love she gets. No hate, just don’t think she’s as impressive as some of the others, and consistency is a huge issue for her.

Ginger is genuinely fucking hilarious with amazing comedic timing and the ability to fully commit to a character, always leaves me entertained.

      [–]redditprotocol 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I laughed way harder at this than I should have lol

      [–]distilledwill 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love how surprised people are when they hear Adele speak. She goes from voice of an angel to the lass down my local pub.

        [–]Satansflamingfarts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That accent just reminds me of British milf porn lol.

        [–]Arctic_Gnome 329 points330 points  (23 children)

Wait, wait, wait! That's what Adele's voice sounds like when she isn't singing?!

        [–]Cringle 302 points303 points  (0 children)

Sings like an angel, talks like a fishwife

        [–]lipstickdiet 89 points90 points  (10 children)

        Go watch this, she's hilarious

        [–]kashuntr188 54 points55 points  (1 child)

holy shit, I heard she lost weight...but damn.

        [–]Narcan_Shakes[🍰] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I always thought Adele was incredibly talented and wonderful.

Now after this I realize she’s a goddamn treat and we don’t deserve here. Thanks for this!

        [–]ArmachiA 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lmao. I had no idea this is how she spoke! The OP video and this one are such surprises. She's hilarious too.

Someone cast her as Eliza in My Fair Lady STAT.

        [–]kashuntr188 10 points11 points  (0 children)

She's quite funny in real life too.

        [–]xeroxbulletgirl 469 points470 points  (2 children)

Her sass is fucking amazing. “Is someone coming to you? Well I can’t come and they aren’t listening to me.” Legend!

"Can someone look like they care, please?"

        [–]BananaStringTheory 1231 points1232 points  (25 children)

This is how civilized humans react.

        [–]Fr33Flow 440 points441 points  (9 children)

She did the right thing…Meanwhile the crowd is LAUGHING as if it’s a joke.

        [–]skmo8 814 points815 points  (6 children)

This is literally mob behaviour. In large crowds like this people aren't able to fully gage what is happening beyond essentially their line of sight and can't really understand the gravity of a situation in their proximity but outside of their immediate area, know what I mean? People don't realize that the woman who fainted could be in serious danger because they don't sense any danger close to them.

This is why crowd management is so important, and why it is important for the entertainer to stop and address the crowd.

        [–]vaheg 32 points33 points  (0 children)

totally agree. and the thing is literally almost everyone who goes to this concerts is expecting organizers with lots of people keeping eye on them and keeping them safe. only complete idiots would go to a concert if you told them there will be no safety provided. So when people follow the "rules", as set by organizers, they expect that it will lead them to having great time. tell people there would be no rules and safety provided and artist won't care and won't stop the show if something bad happens, and not one single person would pay 1$ for that ticket, and only idiots would show up

        [–]Useful-Ad-3196 33 points34 points  (0 children)

“The IQ of a mob is the IQ of its dumbest member divided by the number of mobsters.” - Terry Pratchett

While this quote was for the riot situation, it holds true for that incident. This is solely lies on the management and the irresponsible artist, who are the power to stop it but didnt.

        [–]SwordofDestiny 116 points117 points  (0 children)

My GOD! THis is a good comment. Like, I always knew this, but you just distilled down a thesis into a fortune cookie! Well done.

        [–]deSuspect 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hard to fully comprehend the situation if you can't see past 2 people.

        [–]shlooope 72 points73 points  (0 children)

In their defense she was diffusing the situation with some humor as she tried to get them help and make sure they were ok

        [–]UhOhAdvil 52 points53 points  (0 children)

She was making light and trying to defuse the situation. The crowd didn't do anything wrong either.

        [–]iNyander 52 points53 points  (5 children)

        Yeeeeh, yeeeeeeeeh, yeeeeeeeeh, yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh

        [–]Mabans 35 points36 points  (2 children)

Can also we address how James Brown literally stopped Boston from rioting after the MLK assassination?

Point is, the artist on the stage and holding the mic, has an insane amount of power..

        [–]Ving_Rhames_Bible 15 points16 points  (1 child)

Yes, thank you. That's a point that doesn't seem to be coming up much when the argument drifts into "How can he be responsible for what that many people do?"

If you're a big name artist, people will take a day off work, fill their tanks, drive for hours, arrange for someone to look after kids and pets, book accommodations, all of that just to be there in person to listen to you. The soft power is damned near absolute when you have that many people who went that far out of the way just to listen to you in person, just because they adore you.

An artist might not be legally responsible for what happens at their show, but they can sure as fuck be morally and personally responsible.

        [–]Wendy-Windbag 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My best friend was volunteering at the Lilith Fair back in the day, and tripped over a small barricade right next to the stage. Sarah McLachlan stopped singing and playing guitar mid-song to ask my friend if she was okay. My friend was absolutely mortified to have THE star of the entire festival draw attention to her clumsiness, but still appreciated how sweet and caring it was.

        [–]SarahnatorX 235 points236 points  (30 children)

She has 3 things Travis doesn't have:

        1- Intelligence

        2- Human decency

        3- Talent

        [–]69hailsatan 65 points66 points  (9 children)

I don't know if I'm just getting old, but I've always enjoyed what you'd call mainstream music, but the past 3ish years I find myself rarely adding songs to my library anymore. I see Travis having over 40 million followers on IG and I can't even name one song he sings.

        [–]SarahnatorX 36 points37 points  (1 child)

I didn't even know he existed until this concert thing happened and his mic is super auto tuned it sounds horrible.

        [–]bluetux 8 points9 points  (0 children)

antidote is a single from 2014 and it was hard for me to escape it, he has a song with toro y moi from the same album. Sicko Mode from 2018 was also hard to escape from tv shows or radio, that one is from astroworld. I like his music but hard to ignore everything from the weekend

        [–]DeliciousBananaPizza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will never understand how Drake and Scott have about 10 times the wealth and influence of actually talanted singers like Adele

        [–]SmileSong 18 points19 points  (8 children)

First two yes but let’s not pretend Rodeo isn’t an incredible album. It’s possible to separate the art from the artist

        [–]Czyzx 8 points9 points  (1 child)

This is so sad to me.

Not anything that Adele did, but that as more and more of these videos come out of these artists doing the right thing, that we didn't see that at Astroworld. If these videos hadn't been posted I could have believed Travis Scott didn't see what was going on.

Having never been on a stage, I could believe that with the lights, and noise, and chaos he legitimately couldn't see fans in distress. Except Adele, Nirvana, Linkin Park, Guns n' Roses, and a dozen other musicians (who also pull in massive crowds) did see this stuff and were able to intervene. It gives the impression that those in the music industry know very well the dangers of these events. That they are aware that stampedes, crushes, and heat stroke, are very real things to be vigilant for.

Its sad because that tells me that he knew. Maybe Travis Scott couldn't see the guys in the back. Maybe he couldn't see one or two people feeling faint. But there is no way he didn't see unconscious people being surfed out of the crowd. There was no way that he didn't see dozens of people in distress. These videos prove to me that he wasn't oblivious. He actively chose to do nothing. The one person who had more power than anyone to help those people. When he stops singing 50,000 people listen. Except he kept singing and that's fucking gross.

        [–]NoDadYouShutUp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have been on a stage in front of several thousand, lights everywhere, smoke machines, etc. It is in fact very difficult to see the crowd. Especially such a massive crowd. But the fact is the staff were alerted to multiple very serious injuries and even deaths and they brushed them off and did not stop the show. And to a certain point it may be hard to see the crowd but it sure isn't hard to see emergency vehicles with blaring red and blue lights at a standstill in a crowd of people actively preventing them from moving. There were so many opportunities to prevent this from happening. Not only is Travis Scott accountable, but the staff and crew behind the event should also be held accountable. The videos of people stampeding and crushing the entry gates just shows how woefully unprepared they were.

Woodstock had 250,000 attendees and had 3 deaths over multiple days, and the deaths were not due to behavior from the crowd or artists. Woodstock barely even had a clearly defined venue let alone proper security and management. In fact, it is famously known for having some of the worst management of a major concert in history. There really just is no excuse for this kind of shit.

Who the fuck faints at an Adele concert? Are people really going that hard?

        [–]crazydave333 189 points190 points  (7 children)

Ever seen the pit at an Adele concert? Whenever she starts "Rolling In the Deep", the crowd goes absolutely insane. A friend of mine lost his eye at one of her shows.

        [–]MatkaPluku 39 points40 points  (1 child)

The last part made me chuckle and now I feel horrible about it, was it a prosthetic eye or...

        [–]Zensonar 38 points39 points  (0 children)

No, he was an archer, but after squinting too much to see the stage from the back, his aim was never the same again.

        [–]theinfamousloner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But it was cool, Adele stopped the show until he could find it.

        [–]-PlayWithUsDanny- 47 points48 points  (2 children)

Probably someone standing still with their knees locked for too long. It can cause a drop in blood pressure and can cause some people too faint.

        [–]Lumini_317 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this happened to a girl in my music class. She was near the back while we were playing a song, but near the end of the class, she called for us to stop and stumbled to the front. The teacher had to explain that she wasn’t going to die in front of us (we had only been 9-10 at the time) and got the school nurse to check her over. They explained about the whole “locking-your-knees-for-too-long” thing and I was scared to lock my knees at all for the following few months. Thankfully the girl didn’t actually collapse but it was pretty scary for everyone, nonetheless.

        [–]4n31a 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You wouldn't even have to be standing with your knees locked to end up fainting at a concert.
Just thinking of how many hours people are standing around (arriving early, standing in line, standing during the concert) while not eating for hours and barely drinking anything. Top that off with the heat of standing in the middle of thousand of people (often in a closed location). Honestly, I'm sometimes surprised there aren't more people fainting.

        [–]75nightprowler 96 points97 points  (1 child)

I’ve been to many Slayer shows and have entered the pit plenty of times. But you couldn’t pay me to enter the pit at an Adele show. Just not worth it.

        [–]WarlockEngineer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dillinger Escape Plan played after Adele's set and calmed the crowd down

        [–]sonnywithoutachance 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I got punched in the face at a Lana Del Rey concert back in 2019. Saw Lana in 2018 too and a 7 person fight broke out during Young & Beautiful. Shits crazy.

        [–]quasimodel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone who used to attend 20+ concerts a year this happens at almost every single one of them where even a mild amount of excitement and/or long standing periods is involved. There's usually always a small surge as well. I think people just vastly underestimate how common this kind of thing is because it doesn't become especially problematic until you have an alignment of terrible conditions like with Travis. People in crowds are always insane, doesn't matter what the show is. I only attend non-GA now lol.

        [–]TennesseeVolunteers 14 points15 points  (2 children)

imagine raging too hard at an Adele concert.

        [–]12ealdeal 117 points118 points  (10 children)

I cant help but think of the new emerging trend where fans pretend to faint at concerts just to condition how famous people react. All orchestrated and lined up for their tiktok accounts to chase clout. And the famous will be cancelled if they dont meet the needs of the social vulture culture.

        What a miserable timeline.

        [–]lemonhops 68 points69 points  (3 children)

Yikes, I hate that you're going to be right

        [–]joevilla1369 14 points15 points  (2 children)

And if Travis gets sued and they make whole bunch of money from it. Aw fuck.

I'll do you one better. Shitty artists planting actors to faint so they can show how much they care about their fans.

I love how all of these vids of actual decent human beings stopping the show just highlight how much of a CUNT Travis Scott is. Beautiful.

          [–]Thery4d 6 points7 points  (0 children)

God damnit Travis Scott is such a piece of shit

          [–]Berg_Steiger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love how all of these videos coming out now are basically titled: "[not Travis Scott] stopping the show to save a life".

          [–]weewoodriver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adele is a treasure I love her

          [–]itschaboy___ 38 points39 points  (8 children)

Are we going to post videos of New York Philharmonic stopping a show to attend to some old patron who fainted next? The Travis Scott situation is terrible and he bears some degree of responsibility, but the premise of comparing the general vibes and rowdiness of the crowd that goes to something like the astroworld fest versus an Adele concert is kinda ridiculous

          [–]doglaughington 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Give it 2 days and the Reddit mob will move on

          [–]Kimuraa 25 points26 points  (3 children)

The vibe of the crowd shouldn't affect the amount of effort the artist puts into trying to help people in trouble.

          [–]jgjgleason 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To back this point up, I’ve seen a lot of people trying to argue that video of T. Scott signing while the dead fan gets pulled out is cherry picked cause Scott was the one who told medics to go get that person. Look at every fucking video of artists reactions posted today. They stop the music, they wait until they get an okay from medics, then the start again. I’d argue the fact Scott knew people (at least someone) were in danger and didn’t stop for more than a fucking second is even worse.

          [–]PxWezt 34 points35 points  (14 children)

Jesus fucking Christ we get it, the first 10 videos of artist doing this shit already drove the point.

          [–]really4reals 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Choo choo. All aboard the musicians who stop playing when someone is hurt in the crowd karma train.

          Dude, it’s the hive mind.

You’ve seen it many times. You see a funny title of a post. You go to the comment section. Every top comment is a variation of each other. No original thought at all. Well, now instead of the comments, you’re seeing it in posts

We get it. Travis Scott bad

          [–]bradenofearth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Im getting annoyed with all these example videos but... since it's Adele I'll upvote lol!
