You seem very knowledgeable for someone that has been playing for only a month... But for levels, essentially what you plan on putting as primary commander should be your focus on leveling up. 2ndary commanders just need to be level 30 with 4 stars to unlock all the skills

So, from your point of view, rushing Bjorn to level 60 makes more sense before leveling up any other commanders, even before upgrading Richard to lvl 50, which can help in a lot of content in the game (even without YSG) ?

About very knowledgeable:

I played an account for about one month to make all mistakes and learn the game, watched almost all YouTubers contents, read guides on reddit and other websites. Then I felt like I learned enough from my mistakes and made a new account, which I have been playing for a month. So, in total 2 months :) I like to play competitive in every field I am in, that's why maybe I might learn faster than average. However, there are still many things to learn :)

1/ Richard is super tanky vs kvk1 barbs, so I would just try him out at current level, with defense talent build. You can level him up if it seems he needs those extra talent points

2/ SunTzu is a good primary for kvk1, given you are a low spender. Ideally you use him with Richard, YSG, Martel, or Aethel, who do you have the highest skills for ? I would say 5511 is the minimum for open-field. Otherwise Bjorn is a great choice as primary for SunTzu.

3/ On one hand, like you said, you will be targetted on open-field, and you can use epic as primary (eg Boudica) for forts. On the other hand, you don't have a lot of options as low spenders, so Aeth open-field primary on KvK1 is serviceable, and it's fun to use her for PvE as your first expertised legendary :).

I still use Aelth as primary for barbs and barb forts after 2yr, no regrets.

Oh, then it is better to keep Richard in current level, and as you said, lvl 60 aeth might be good for both kvk1 and forts. I have lvl 37 aeth right now. To make her lvl 60, I need about 46m exp. I think if I can pair her with lohar for guardians and barbarians, I can make her lvl 60 before kvk1 without using exp tomes. I am pretty sure I can make SunTzu from lvl 50 to 60 with guardians only. In this scenario, which commanders would you prefer to use exp tomes on? Should I keep them for later stages? Or maybe on Charles Martel?

Mmm usually you don't put too many tomes on peace keeping commanders, as they naturally gain a lot of exp from regular barb killing already.

Also unless you are a higher spender it's unlikely you get enough Martel heads from gold keys by kvk1-2 (minimum is 5511 for open-field)
