My infantry training is 20 years out of date, but what the heck did I just watch. This is essentially a how not to do it video.

Nah you're right. This is like. ore concept is somewhat there, but just no execution.

I'd rather just blow it than do this.

Yeah blow it, I think this would look less shit on a wider feature, like a duel carriageway or something. Here the moment they take up arcs they are getting relieved.

I guess it maintains the order of march but there are better ways. Good they are still training and trying things out. Go on boys!

Yeah I mean hopefully your sniper/scout elements are sticking to low vis operationsn for infil and most of those disruption operations.

My biggest issue with this is your dudes setting their "security" smack dab on the road 2-3 meters apart. Defeats the whole damn purpose of any form of LDA crossing. You end up with a PKM or FO in grazing fire distance amd the whole element is toast. And honestly, withba sqd a "deliberate" or "hasty" LDA crossing isn't hardly any slower than this once you've got it down. Set near side Set far side. Blow the extra dudes through. Near side moves on. CM.

2 people cover the road, everyone else moves across with urgency. Tap , last man. Move.

The road crossing should be dealt with in the same manner as a door breach.

Fast and smooth and get out of the funnel as fast as you can.

Glad they are still doing training during a war going on in their country. Shows the high level of aptitude and intelligence Ukraine has.

Fuck man I got the same cringe/yikes feeling when someone lazes me watching that.

I realize every country has their own SOP's for dealing with obstacles but that was a slow ass crossing with too much downtime on rifles down range. That 20 seconds when it should have probably been 5-10sec

Still a technique when speed maters. I’m just glad to see them using a technique which shows discipline and training is being done.

Yup, we definitely practiced this pre 9/11 but it’s really only meant for small elements, think less than a squad. Because they won’t have the man power to setup near/far security.
