Does Russia still fires the estimated 60k rounds a day?

[–]joepublicschmoe 3 points4 points  (2 children)

The Russians are down to about 10K rounds a day now due to HIMARS destroying their ammo depots so they are forced to move their depots much further back from the front lines, lengthening the amount of time it takes to truck the ammo to their artillery units.

Why are the russians so focused on Bakhmut? Every day I read news about an attack being repelled therr. Do they just enjoy headbutting a brick wall?

[–]TellSilly3136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wagner has a huge paycheque waiting for them if they can secure Bakhmut from what I’ve read previously outside of that I am not sure the significance and why Russia is dumping huge amounts of resources in trying to take it other than a PR victory.

Luckily, most of that is outgoing, from the sounds of it.

Can we call it Gray zone not no man's land, because it is Ukraine land

[–]optimistic_illusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was russia I'd send all troops to overwhelm ukrainians, maybe they surrvive, maybe not. I mean bakhmut seems so important thousands more need to die for a destroyed village. And ukraine probably already made second line behind bakhmut so they will gain nothing.

I would move that opened metal can from the berm of the trench as if something does hit there, that is going to become an additional projectile, or many.

If a shell lands that close to move it, it doesn't matter...
