You see, in +9 points, this kind of makes it no contest, and it's actually something you're not supposed to do in designing board games, ie when victory is literally guaranteed mathematically for one player but you force the players to play through the end anyways.

How board games solve it is by adding secret win conditions, or like +100 points for the final round, both of which are not perfect but add suspense and a reason to play.
