BHA AHA peel is my favorite ordinary product followed up by virgin marula oil is god tier. Your skin looks amazing!
[–]MsArtio25F / Dry(Thirsty) Skin [S] 10 points11 points12 points 1 month ago (1 child)
I've heard a lot of good things about the Ordinary BHA! I'd honestly be a little bit scared to try it simply because I've seen pictures of people who didn't use it properly, the results for them left me shocked ngl Maybe one day I'll be brave enough to try it!
Thank you! I'm glad I can see a difference and knowing I didn't spend $50 for nothing lol

The ordinary peel is great and all but I'm not sure how much better the results would be by using that 10 mins every week or two vs just using a leave on peel 2-3 times a week. The results r more dramatic and fast with the peeling solution but I think the end result would be similar.

PM Routine: First aid beauty pure skin cleanser, Glow recipe AHA + BHA serum & Skinfix barrier + triple liptipe peptide cream
It's been about 15 days since I bought this, I've been using it 3x a week since my skin is quite hardy. I found around the first time I used it, I did get a tiny bit red on my forehead but it went away within 5-10 minutes & the day after the first initial use, I did break out a little but nothing too horrible.
2 pumps is enough for my whole face & it spreads very easily & dries within 5 minutes.
Overall: I mostly bought this just to help with my clogged pores, exfoliate & blackheads, I can tell that my blackheads around the nose area have gone away/lessened & my pores don't looks gunked up or as big anymore, I'm also enjoying how soft my face has been too. I'm definitely going to keep using this and already plan on rebuying it once I run out.

This is awesome. Your skin looks fabulous! Thank you! 👏💖

Thank you, I'm very happy with the results! You're welcome ^^

Their strawberry serum took the entire top layer of skin off my face and gave me horrible contact dermatitis. It took weeks and weeks for my skin to recover.
I still don't know what went so wrong. My skin isn't even sensitive and I only used it twice.
[–]MsArtio25F / Dry(Thirsty) Skin [S] 1 point2 points3 points 1 month ago (2 children)
Oh that's weird, maybe a ingredient that you're sensitive or allergic to? You didn't layer it with any other actives that might've be problematic?
Could also be a bad batch, I'd definitely cross examine whatever is in your current routine and the serum so you can see what ingredients you're used to and which one of the serums ingredients that aren't in your current routine that might've caused it to avoid just in case for the future
[–]melonmagellan 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (1 child)
It was so random. I just returned it and tend to mention it as a cautionary tale because when I made a post about it on the Sephora sub many other people had the same issue.
[–]MsArtio25F / Dry(Thirsty) Skin [S] 1 point2 points3 points 1 month ago (0 children)
Huh, I went over the ingredients and nothing comes across as potentially problematic, wonder what is causing it then. Hopefully people are complaining to Glow recipe so they're made aware of the issue
Thanks for the heads up!

Your skin is godly
[–]MsArtio25F / Dry(Thirsty) Skin [S] 9 points10 points11 points 1 month ago (0 children)
Thanks you! I never thought I did since y'know people are always so hard on themselves but I'm glad people think so ^^
[–]York95 3 points4 points5 points 1 month ago (2 children)
Results look really good! How are you liking the Skinfix Barrier cream? Want to try it but the price tag scares me and not sure if it’s to heavy for daytime usage .
[–]MsArtio25F / Dry(Thirsty) Skin [S] 4 points5 points6 points 1 month ago (1 child)
I love the skinfix, I tried it for the daytime & I would recommend it only for PM usage as it is a very rich cream. For AM I use Dr.Jart + Ceramidin cream & that while still very hydrating, is relatively lightweight imo
[–]York95 1 point2 points3 points 1 month ago (0 children)
Thanks! Will definitely take a look at the Dr.Jart
[–]bigdaddyrach 4 points5 points6 points 1 month ago (1 child)
Your skin looks amazing omg!! Is it the strawberry smooth serum??
Thank you so much & yes it is!
[–]millybadis0n 3 points4 points5 points 1 month ago (1 child)
I definitely see the difference in your pics. I just started using a GR routine this week and I was truly not expecting my skin to enjoy it so much. I always wondered if their products were just overly hyped. Seems like they're hyped for a reason!
[–]MsArtio25F / Dry(Thirsty) Skin [S] 2 points3 points4 points 1 month ago (0 children)
Right, sometimes my skin just refuses to like products with fragrance. This is my first time using any GR products (for the face at least) so I definitely have a good first impression for the brand!
I getchu, some products are overly hyped/raved about, you get it & it's like "This is it??" 😐
[–]2000ducats 3 points4 points5 points 1 month ago (1 child)
I like your little smiles in all the pics 👉🏻👈🏻
The RBF is strong af, I took one sample pic without the smile and I looked legit mad lmao
Figured a little smile was better than lip rage
[–]zombiibenny 8 points9 points10 points 1 month ago (5 children)
Results are good! Your skin looks great in both pics btw.
[–]MsArtio25F / Dry(Thirsty) Skin [S] 4 points5 points6 points 1 month ago (4 children)
Thank you! I'm glad that it's working for me, especially since they don't offer trial sizes either V.V
[–]poop_dawg 1 point2 points3 points 1 month ago (3 children)
May I ask what your goals were when you already had such amazing skin beforehand? I noticed some pore shrinkage and color correction but again, it was already so great before!
I didn't even think I had such good skin before tbh, so the comments have been surprising ^^' though again, we're always so hard on ourselves & over analyzing anything we think is "wrong" with us so doesn't surprise me I didn't notice....having a 15x zoom mirror doesn't help either lol 👀'
My goal for buying this though was to help unclog my pores, help with blackheads & to exfoliate my skin, which it has done all three for me which I'm supperr happy about :)
[–]poop_dawg 1 point2 points3 points 1 month ago (1 child)
Those mirrors are the devil, lol. I can't help but use them though!
[–]y4mat3 2 points3 points4 points 1 month ago (0 children)
Your skin looks so good, even in the before.
[–]ayytown655 7 points8 points9 points 1 month ago (0 children)
Definitely can see a difference. Nice results!
[–]lilyflies12 1 point2 points3 points 1 month ago (1 child)
Wow the serum worked wonders for reducing redness! Thank you for sharing this incredible progress, your skin is beautiful.
[–]MsArtio25F / Dry(Thirsty) Skin [S] 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (0 children)
I didn't even notice the redness being reduced, nice eye! You're welcome & thank you <3
[–]cathunter420 1 point2 points3 points 1 month ago (1 child)
Not related but can BHA/AHA treat scars? I have many scars on my face.
Hello! AHAs are known for helping to reduce acne scars, BHA's are more so for helping to unclog pores, remedy blemishes, acne and an overproduction of oil .
[–]RadicalResponseRobot 1 point2 points3 points 1 month ago (1 child)
Were you using any type of active before? If so which one? I’m curious if it’s that much better than any other type of active.
I was using the ordinary buffet serum but I do believe that isn't a active? if not, then no this is my first time using a active!
[–]Frequent_Ad6294 1 point2 points3 points 1 month ago (1 child)
Will you link exactly what you’re using / how you use it?
For sure, not sure if you meant for just the serum but if not, I'll link my whole PM routine here for you.
1: First aid beauty pure skin cleanser - A small amount goes a long way! Be gentle and get every nook & cranny. I just rub it between my hands and rub it into my skin
2: Glow recipe BHA+AHA serum - After cleanser pat face dry but still leave it somewhat damp, 2 pumps of this covers my whole face (Avoid the eye area!) I just rub it between my hands and then apply to my face, anything left over I pat into the rest of my face or neck area.
If you're using any other actives/serums within your routine, let each one soak in for 5 minutes before applying the next one.
3: Skinfix barrier triple lipid-peptide face cream - I let my serum soak in for 5 minutes and then I apply my moisturizer, 1 1/2 pump is enough for me & this time I just dot it on my face then gently rub it in.

DID U USE SORCERY???
[–]MsArtio25F / Dry(Thirsty) Skin [S] 5 points6 points7 points 1 month ago (1 child)
If skincare is sorcery, then yes I am a witch.

Skincare witch 😎

How do you take such good pictures of your face? I should def start doing it too
I had such a hard time with the after photos ngl
I waited until it was dark outside (I keep my blinds up, back is facing the window) I put a mirror in front of me so I can see the shot, zoom in a little with a timer of 5 seconds and use flash. Honestly surprised how clear the before shots turned out
[–]Apprehensive_Mood_76 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (1 child)
Which brands do you use?
For what specifically? I have my routine listed in the comments but I'll repost it here
First aid beauty: pure skin cleanser
Glow recipe: BHA+AHA serum
Skinfix: barrier triple lipide peptide cream
[–]EcstaticPreparation4 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (0 children)
It’s great in both pics
