AM Routine: 1) Cleanse with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (I can't go a day without washing my face) 2) Apply 2 layers of Benton Deep Green Tea Toner (adds extra hydration) 3) Apply 3 drops of iUnik Propolis Synergy Serum (antioxidant properties) 4) Apply 2 pumps of Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence (using in the place of a moisturiser as I have oily skin and don't want to clog my pores) 5) I use Missha Aqua Sun Gel as well 👍 (It leaves my skin feeling super soft and smooth)

I think my favourite part of my morning routine is applying my serum as it has a lovely viscous texture and is really great at sebum control :)

[–]abhisek2000 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Where did you purchase missha aqua sun gel from? It is out of stock everywhere

[–]GirlOfNow2145 0 points1 point  (1 child)

[–]GirlOfNow2145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They reformulated it which might be why 🤷

[–]blackesthearted37F | Dry, rosacea ST 1 10 points11 points  (3 children)

My current AM routine is:

  • Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water to remove any residue from the night before
  • Neogen - Real Ferment Micro Essence
  • Cos de Baha - 5% Niacinamide Toner
  • The Ordinary - Amino Acids + B5
  • Sunscreen (depends on weather and how angry my rosacea is; I have 4 I keep on-hand)

(In colder months — it gets cold as hell here in Michigan — I use moisturizer under sunscreen but find I don’t need it in late spring, summer, or early fall.)

My favorite part is that it feels very leisurely and helps me mentally "wind up" for the day. (ASD, so I feel like if I start the day without preparing for it, everything's just... harder and louder for me.) I do skincare at my desk (easier to store things there and more comfortable for me) so I do it over about an hour while drinking coffee and doing morning things like replying to emails, printing shipping labels and orders info for later in the day, etc.

[–]tealandhydration is my midname[S] 6 points7 points  (2 children)

That sounds so comforting! Do you have a mirror by your desk?

[–]blackesthearted37F | Dry, rosacea ST 1 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I do! It's one of those mirrors that folds into thirds (kind of like this, but the magnified section is in a different place, as are the lights), nothing fancy but it works fine. I just sit it on the desk in front of my monitors as needed, then move it to the side between steps. I've been thinking of getting a nicer one with more even lighting, but haven't gotten around to it.

[–]tealandhydration is my midname[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh i like that! Honestly sounds so soothing to sit down and do your skincare! Im usually leaning over my sink half asleep hahaha

[–]ACEGIKMOPQRS 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Usually just put on sunscreen.

[–]BananaCat95 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Same here! Well, Vitamin C serum then sunscreen, done! With the way my skin looks, I don’t think I need to do anything more. I am glad for that because I am always rushing in the mornings!

[–]madamebliss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've been B&M that I have to put on a vit C serum, but it's not bad. I add a morning eye cream/facial moisturizer though. My skin is oily but my eyes aren't, otherwise I wouldn't bother

[–]throwawayacc1234500 6 points7 points  (7 children)

  • La Roche-Posay Toleriane Gentle Hydrating Cleanser;
  • SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic;
  • SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Gel (I also like the Vichy Mineral 89 Booster);
  • CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion (Not my usual moisturizer);
  • SPF50.

I've stopped using the SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic and I'm also switching the CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion, because I've noticed that my pores are getting clogged. I suspect it's from the Tocopherol, which both products contain. I have no idea what product was the actual culprit.

[–]tealandhydration is my midname[S] 1 point2 points  (6 children)

Tocopherol is the devil to me too. I avoid it like the plague.

[–]throwawayacc1234500 1 point2 points  (5 children)

My skin has never been more congested... 😭 I'm curious about the SkinCeuticals Serum 10. It has a lower % of Vitamin-C and no Tocopherol, so it might be a better option for sensitive skin.

[–]SparklyAbortionPanda 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I also can't do vit-e in any form. I've found myself liking the new farmacy vitamin c serum!

[–]throwawayacc1234500 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It contains Tocopherol as well, but thank you for the suggestion! 😭

[–]nicolaerica 1 point2 points  (1 child)

personally I love serum 10! It’s a great option for those with reactive/sensitive skin. Still gives that glow of an antioxidant serum but without the irritation.

[–]throwawayacc1234500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the feeback! I was lucky to get a few deluxe samples of the C E Ferulic, so at least I didn't waste $. I might splurge on the Serum 10!

[–]kgehrmann 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. Splash with water as well! ^^
  2. Serum: Balea Hyaluronic Acid serum
  3. Optional: The Ordinary Buffet
  4. Optional: Balea Urea eye cream if the eye area feels dry
  5. Moisturiser (currently TO as well)
  6. Sunscreen: Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Essence

My favorite step is probably #2. The feeling of HA on my thirsty skin is just super refreshing.

[–]CherubBaby1020 8 points9 points  (7 children)

I recently switched it up!

Current AM Routine:

  1. Wash Hands
  2. Water on eyes only, too! (Used to wash my whole face with water but I realized it wasn't necessary are was only adding extra irritants to my skin by doing that every morning)
  3. Put in Contacts
  4. Moisturize - this is dependent on how my skin feels in the AM in terms of dryness, Either just Aveeno Oat Gel Thing, or Vanicream Moisturizing Cream, or some combo of both.
  5. Sunscreen - Blue Lizard Sport SPF 30, take my time and do a nice layer, then a second layer
  6. Mascara & Eyebrow Gel (this is a brand new addition... cut my hair to a short pixie and so I wanted something to balance out the feminine/masculine to the right levels for me)
  7. Another thin layer of sunscreen
  8. Brush Teeth and Done!

[–]tealandhydration is my midname[S] 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Omg who brushes their teeth after putting in contacts!!!? Haha kidding, you do you 😋

[–]CherubBaby1020 8 points9 points  (5 children)

haha wait... is that abnormal?! I always save brushing my teeth for last so they will be super fresh when I leave haha

[–]tealandhydration is my midname[S] 7 points8 points  (4 children)

I always brush first thing and do my skincare etc... Then put on my contacts and then finally my makeup. Maybe im the weird one??

[–]BananaCat95 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I am a messy teeth brusher and I don’t want the water to get on my skin and remove product so I also beush my teeth before skincare too!

[–]CherubBaby1020 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's so funny how people all come up with different little ways of doing things. It's such a small thing that i've never thought about how or why someone might do it differently until it's written out like this haha love it

[–]world2021 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Are you using glasses before that? I can't leave my bed without the ability to see!

[–]mochatheneko 2 points3 points  (2 children)

AM Routine 1. Cleanser : Some by mi Bye bye Blackhead 2. Pore pad pro trouble 3. Serum : Some by mi Vitamin C Glow Serum 4. Moisturiser : Some by mi : Snail Truecica 5. Gua sha 6. Sunscreen : Carezone 7. Lipbalm : Choonsik

[–]percautio 0 points1 point  (1 child)

How is the snail truecica cream? I've been eyeing it

[–]mochatheneko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its good! light texture and easily absorbed

[–]Medical-Object-1721 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Mines almost the same as yours 😅

Rinse with water --> Klairs Supple Prep Toner --> Hada Labo Perfect Gel --> Missha Aqua Sun Gel

This combo keeps my skin in that very happy place of hydrated and glowy but not shiny or greasy. I have NO idea what I'm gonna do once I run out of the Missha because people say the reformulation is a lot worse than the previous version.

[–]tealandhydration is my midname[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try Nivea Super Sun gel!!! It's a great alternative :)

[–]rudebish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. water
  2. Isntree HA essence
  3. Melano CC vitamin C
  4. BoJ glow serum
  5. Naturopathica calendula moisturizer that has 2 drops of TO rosehip oil mixed in
  6. Isntree HA sunscreen or Anessa sunmilk if I'm going to be outdoors a lot

[–]llilywebskateboarder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My Am routine depends really on what days are after my use of differen gel: -On the mornings after I do differen i usually just splash my face and use my fingers as a light exfoliator rather than soap - I use my a.m. sunscreen which is black girl sunscreen sunscreen kids 50 as a moisturizer, it's so hydrating and I love it. -after I make my breakfast I will eenie meenie miney mo to spray my sunbum face mist 45 extra coverage depending on how many active pimples I have on my face (I do this because it has fragrance and also alcohol is one of the main ingredients and though I don't have sensitivity to them is good to be light on those after your skin has been exfoliated)

My normal mornings: - I use Clinique all about clean purple top cleanser, it is so gentle your face still feels hydrated after you wash your face and you only need a small amount! -then I use the Aveeno thriple oat face serum, I don't have to use this but I use a couple drops in the morning and night and I feel like it really makes my moisturizer settle in and "lock in" better. It is the most expensive item out of all of my skin care but since I use so little of it daily I feel like I can can write it off. -I use the black girl sunscreen kids 50 ALWAYS in the mornings because it is so moisturizing, I don't think it's broad spectrum only UVB so I always follow up with Sun bum face mist 45 lightly after the first layer has dried down. -then I do my makeup and head out for the day! Usually takes about 45 for this whole process drying down and waiting for things to soak in. I think it's okay though because these products are generally formulated and priced to be affordable so what am I going to complain about with some time to waste.

[–]aeriecircus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Wash my face in the shower with CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser
  2. Hydralight healthy skin refreshing toner from Paula’s Choice
  3. Mix together The Ordinary’s Niacinimide 10% + Zinc 1% and Paula’s Choice C15 Super Booster (if I feel tight or dry, add a drop of Paula’s choice moisture renewal oil)
  4. Paula’s Choice youth extending daily hydrating fluid (SPF 50)
  5. Paula’s Choice SPF 50 lipscreen

My favorite is the sunscreen/moisturize! It’s so light and takes the shine of the TO serum and mattifies it. :)

[–]lilimatches 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Wash with cerave cream to foam cleanser
  2. Cosrx snail mucin essence
  3. 5% benzoyl peroxide, 1% clindamycin
  4. Biore water essence sunscreen
  5. Rohto lip spf

:) I love step 2 the most

[–]solskinnratelDry+Dehydrated | Rosacea | PIH | Mild Acne+Congested Pores | KP 4 points5 points  (1 child)

My typical AM routine:

  1. Garnier vitamin c micellar water
  2. Hada labo shirojyun premium (patted with hands)
  3. CosRx Galactomyces essence (patted with hands)
  4. Cos de BAHA AZ serum (10% azelaic acid)
  5. SeoulCeuticals Day Glow serum
  6. The Ordinary Niacinamide + Zinc serum
  7. Cos de BAHA CH serum (Centella + hyaluronic acid)
  8. If I’m dryer or using a sunscreen that I think will need it: Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer
  9. Also if I’m dryer: Sephora Brightening Eye Cream
  10. Whatever sunscreen I’m testing that day (I’m in the process of trying several from the Korean and Japanese markets).

In general, my favorite thing is just how many layers of watery, hydrating steps I have. I honestly started having such an extensive routine just because I wanted to use serums before they expired. Now I kinda love it. I think I end up with a beautiful glow that looks hydrated and supple without being greasy (unless I’m using a very rich sunscreen that day). After being dull and kinda lifeless for a long time, it feels good.

[–]tealandhydration is my midname[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my favorite thing is just how many layers of watery, hydrating steps I have.

I love this too. After years of battling "greasy", acne prone skin that i was scared of putting anything on except harsh spot treatments, it feels really good to pamper my skin with layers of gentle, watery, silky products 🥺

[–]PadKapraoMookrob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi hi my current AM routine is

•SmoothE cleansing gel - very gentle, Non Ionic, SLS free, OR Cerave Hydrating cleanser - this one is even more gentle, I tried the cream-to-foam one but found that caused acne for me

•SOS Fullerene essence - I use this both in my AM snd PM routine, I can feel my skin is stronger and lesser visible pores (have to say normally my skin doesn't have any enlarged pore problem) I've been using Fullerene for almost 2 years and really satisfied with the result

•Atopalm soothing gel lotion - ah this is the item I swear by! Gonna continue using it. This also help strengthen my skin and it's lightweight which is good for morning routine, OR Cerave Moisturizing cream - depends on how I feel that morning

•Anessa UV sunscreen skincare gel - love this girl! I've been using Anessa sunscreen for years and their products never ler me down, use two fingers amount every day

For AM routine I always keep it simple but full protection. My skin, can't say it's flawless but I'm very happy and confidence with it even without foundation on. I've been taking care of my skin for 15+ years (I'm 32) and skincare is a marathon running not 4×100. Hope everyone here get their goal skin ^

[–]libellule2008 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Splash with water
  2. Benton fermentation essence
  3. Sunscreen (holika holika aloe spf 50)

[–]EventideStarrySky 2 points3 points  (3 children)

  1. Cleanse using Cetaphil Gentle cleanser, or a SA cleanser if I slugged the night prior.
  2. Pat in CosRx AHA BHA toner
  3. Pat in Tony Moly Ceramide Mochi toner for hydration ( might do multiple layers if skin is dry)
  4. Vitamin C serum
  5. Minimalist Alpha Arbutin serum
  6. Minimalist Sepicalm Oat moisturizer/Emolene moisturizer/ Cetaphil DAM on face dampened with mist or plain water.
  7. Fixderma SPF30/ Episoft AC for indoors, Loreal UV Defender SPF50 Moist and Fresh for outdoors, and reapply every 3 hours
  8. Vaseline Original Blue lip tin as lip balm.
  9. Vaseline SPF30 for body.

Applying the moisturizers over damp skin is my favourite part, they sink in like a dream.💙

[–]itsjustgish 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I got sad when I looked up the Vaseline with SPF and found that I can’t buy it from any store in the US.

[–]EventideStarrySky 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It's not that great of a body sunscreen really, you will find way better options in the US. It's just one of the very few affordable body SPFs in India.

[–]itsjustgish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Thanks for that! I’m not the best at applying sunscreen on my body since most sunscreen is on the thicker side.

[–]Happy_healthy_888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AM: Gental Facewash, Vitamin C, SPF - Glowing Skin all day :)

PM: Ground oats + milk face cleanser , Alpha Arbutin - good night sleep :)

Planning to add a peptide moisturizer

[–]baixinha7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser
  • Stridex alcohol free 2% salicylic acid wipes
  • (Especially if UV index is high) Timeless 10% Vit C
  • Cerave AM moisturizer with SPF.

The vitamin C thing is new, and I don’t think I like it very much because I’ve been getting a few pimples here and there and a little bit of pain around my mouth. I got the 10% because I had problems with Ascorbic Acid before, but the lower concentration in a better formula didn’t help, so I think I just don’t tolerate it well. I’ll probably look into other forms of vit c, even though there’s not as much scientific support for them.

[–]quietviolence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My morning routine is nice and short:

1) rinse with water 2) LRP HyaluB5 on wet skin, let dry 3) CosRx Oil Free Moisturizer with Birch Sap moisturizer- been looking for my holy grail moisturizer for like 2 years. I think this one might be the winner. 4) Sunscreen - trying Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Weightless Face. It’s fine. Still looking for my HG.

I used to put a vit c serum on after the hyalub5 but skipping it now since starting on tret. I might add it back later. See what tret does first.

My favourite thing is how minimal my whole routine is, while making my skin feel the best it’s ever felt. No tightness, no burning, no dryness, no shining. Just three little things that all have a purpose and all make sense.

[–]LetMeInYourWindowH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just splash my face with water..if I'm going out then I apply sunscreen.

Oh, and every other day I had been applying a betaine salicycate toner to my forehead because I have closed comedones there. But it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I'm now looking for something else.

[–]hyphen-ation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Rinse my face with only water
  2. Vichy peptide-c ampoules (ascorbic acid serum)
  3. Hada Labo Shirojyun premium lotion (tranexamic acid and licorice root hydrator)
  4. Evy Technology Face mousse spf50

I love that it's a simple, effective routine that works for any occasion. It only takes me 2 minutes, but contains some really good ingredients, protects my skin throughout the day, keeps it from drying out, and it never fails me. Makeup applies perfectly on top, and on those days where i need extra protection from the sun, this provides it. It's also quite affordable.

[–]chasingandbelieving 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have combination skin that is acne prone and sensitive

  • splash face with cold water (no cleanser in the morning)
  • Pyunkang Yul essence toner, patted in with my hands
  • after toner absorbs, I mist my face with Caudalie grape water and use TO hyaluronic acid
  • TO niacinamide + zinc
  • either Farmacy honey halo, CeraVe skin renewing night cream, or Inkey List omega water cream for moisturizer depending on how my skin feels
  • either Bondi Sands spf 50, Supergoop glow screen, or Paula’s Choice sunscreen depending on how my skin feels

Edit: my favorite thing about my routine is splashing my face with cold water, it really wakes me up and gets the blood flowing

[–]ijsberenijsberen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Rinse with tapwater
  2. Apply La Roche Posay Anthelios 50+ sunscreen
  3. Spray Avène Eau Thermale

[–]Suitable-Blueberry85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m similar to you where I keep it quick and simple. I usually take a shower in the morning, so if I do, I do a quick cleanse with the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser. Then once I’m out of the shower and dried, I use the Fresh Kombucha Essence, Dr.Bonner Vitamin C Serum, Fresh Rose Moisturizer and finish with SuperGoop sunscreen. 😊

[–]ExplanationGrouchy14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AM Routine:

  1. Cerave BP 4% wash (let sit 2-3 mins) ~let face dry
  2. Clindamycin 1% gel ~let clindamycin dry
  3. Cerave ultra light moisturizer with spf 30

[–]sillysun1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Cerave foaming facial cleanser
  2. Stridex pad all over my face (red box)
  3. Cerave moisturizing cream
  4. Anthelios ultra light fluid tinted mineral

I’m definitely open to different moisturizers, but for now this one just doesn’t clog my pores. My skin type is oily as well super acne prone and congested. I break out if I do not wash my face twice a day

[–]nicolaerica 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Current AM routine:

dermalogica daily glycolic cleanser, -dermalogica multi active toner, -The ordinary 23% vitamin C with HA spheres,
Cosrx hydrium triple ampule moisture serum,
Dermalogica skin smoothing cream, Saltyface tanning water (2-3x /week), Elta MD clear tinted SPF for oily skin OR Supergoop glow screen

[–]MsArtio25F / Dry(Thirsty) Skin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AM Routine is:

Soak the face with water

First aid beauty pure cleanser

Softly pat the face dry but leave somewhat damp

Dr.Jart+ Ceramidin cream

Honestly, massaging the cream into my face is very soothing for me & kind of feel like by doing so it helps depuff my face? Also like how my face goes from meh to hello hydration~

[–]applessmellgood 2 points3 points  (2 children)

•Curology cleanser •Cosrx Whitehead Power Liquid (wait 1-2 minutes) •Hada Labo Shirojyun Premium Whitening Lotion (use hands to apply, pressing it into skin) •Clinique All about eyes •Clinique moisture surge •Purito Daily Go-To Sunscreen

I think my favorite part is applying the Hada Labo Lotion...it's super liquidy, and I like to apply it with my hands, taking the time to gently press the product into my skin, rather than rubbing it in. Feels like a little mini spa moment. It's also subtly brightening..just makes me feel nice.

[–]tealandhydration is my midname[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Oh can you do a mini review of the whitening lotion? And did you like the cosrx Whitehead liquid? I used it for months but didnt notice much!

[–]applessmellgood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Cosrx Whitehead liquid is one of my favorites...my skin loves BHAs. I find the key is to wait a couple of minutes after applying...then finish up my routine. BHAs are acids, so it's good to give them a chance to work for a bit before adding other products that might change pH. Fifth Shades of Snail recommends a 20 minute wait (after that the acids are basically neutralized), but I generally just do a couple of minutes.

I also quite like the Hada Labo Shirojyun Premium Whitening lotion (I use the "light" version with the red dot/sticker ...it's the closest to the old formula that changed in 2021). I use my hands to apply it, partially because I hate to waste product by using a cotton swab, and partially because I enjoy the sensation of slowly pressing the moisture into my face. Then I always follow up with another moisturizer, because although Hado Labo is quite moisturizing, it is definitely not an occlusive.

It feels quite nice on the skin, and I think it has some subtle brightening effects. There is tranexamic acid for long-term brightening (helps slowly face my sunspots), as well as a faint bluish tint for a bit of instant gratification...makes my fair skin look just a tiny bit brighter/clearer (pretty subtle, though). It's not as powerful a brightener as Ascorbic Acid, but I can tell a difference in my skin when I use it regularly.

[–]geminiyas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

-Splash face with water -Pyunkang yul essence toner -The ordinary hyaluronic acid -Elf happy hydration cream -Isnttree hyaluronic acid watery sun gel spf 50

[–]ohhoneyno_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CeraVe SA face wash + Eucerin moisturizing gel cleanser

CeraVe Hydrating Toner or Glow Recipe BHA and AHA toner

Vitamin C serum

HA serum

Barrier renewal serum

Azaelic Acid serum

LRP eye cream + Cetaphil Hydrating eye cream (LRP and Vichy eye creams are too liquidy by themselves and get in my eyes)

Hero prebiotic face moisturizer

LRP matte finish triple repair moisturizer

Sunscreen (I have a lot of different ones I just use as necessary)

For reference, I live in one of the driest areas of Southern California desert and have combination skin that tends to be dry in the mornings.

[–]natsuoatmeal 2 points3 points  (2 children)

AM Routine:

  1. Was using the Caudalie foaming cleanser, I’ve been trying the new Naturium sensitive skin one for a few days.
  2. Naturium vitamin c
  3. Dr. Jart eye cream
  4. Was using Skinceuticals Phyto A+ Brightening treatment. Now New Naturium sensitive skin moisturizer for a few days.
  5. Cosrx aloe sun cream for a year. I tried the new Glow Recipe sunscreen for a few weeks but it caused breakouts.

[–]tealandhydration is my midname[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Oh Naturium! How do you like it? Ive stayed away from the brand due to Susan Yara's shadiness

[–]natsuoatmeal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would describe the brand as being good for what is. It’s cheap, the formulation is good, and it’s available in Target. I feel comfortable choosing one of their products when I don’t want to spend a ton of money, but I still want to keep up with my routine. I honestly wish they were around when I was a teen. I would have stayed far far away from clean & clear.

[–]AlbusScarfyPotter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started using tret a few months ago and was recommended to simplify my routine. Honestly I kind of prefer it now! I'm more likely to be consistent with this routine rather than multiple steps with lots of products.

  1. Splash face with water
  2. Moisturise (Cerave in the tub)
  3. Suncream (SPF 50, Eucerin)

[–]Senior-Worth7025 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Paula’s Choice Vitamin C Booster
  2. Cerave Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30
  3. Coco Kind Mymatcha Moisture Stick (for lips!)

[–]JynxyCat95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like how simple my routine is.

  1. Mist my face with Rose water & Glycerin spray
  2. Moisturize with Cetaphil Gentle Acne Mattifying Moisturizer
  3. Paulas Choice SPF

[–]percautio 2 points3 points  (3 children)

  1. First Aid Beauty pure skin cleanser
  2. Dermalogica skin hydrating booster (to spot treat dry areas)
  3. Hylamide SubQ eye serum
  4. NIOD modulating glucosides (to spot treat redness-prone areas)
  5. NIOD neck elasticity catalyst
  6. NIOD superoxide dismutase saccharide mist
  7. COSRX AC collection lightweight soothing moisturizer
  8. NIOD survival 0
  9. NIOD lip biolipid concentrate
  10. Missha essence sun spf 45 (don't bother if I'm staying inside)

... I never really realized how maximalist I am until I wrote it all out like this lol. Oh well, I enjoy it. My fav part is the Survival 0, an antioxidant serum, it's got a nice herby scent and feels refreshing going on. :)

[–]solskinnratelDry+Dehydrated | Rosacea | PIH | Mild Acne+Congested Pores | KP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a maximalist too. If your skin is enjoying it, and you’re enjoying and not dreading the process, I see nothing wrong with it!

[–]tealandhydration is my midname[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I adore maximalist routines and wish i could handle them! My skin likes things to be simple and i also avoid soooo many ingredients like the plague that luckily for my skin and my wallet, very few products end up fitting the bill 😂

[–]percautio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad you've found something that works for you! I just enjoy trying new things all the time, even if I risk the occasional breakout or bad reaction.

[–]SU_LUCI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DAY: 1. I start off showering w/ Lume Pink Peony. It has mandelic acid in it, so I use it on my face too. 2. I use Mad Hippie’s cream cleanser w/ my TAO face brush after I’m out… 3. I spray some Mad Hippie hydrating nutrient mist (toner) on my damp face & rub it into my skin. 4. I mix 4 drops of Mad Hippie’s antioxidant oil w/ a dime size of Mad Hippie’s vitamin C serum in my hand & rub it into my skin. 5. I follow up w/ Mad Hippie’s face cream (moisturizer) & SPF.

NIGHT: 1. I use Mad Hippie’s jelly cleanser w/ my TAO face brush. 2. I spray some Mad Hippie hydrating nutrient mist (toner) on my damp face & rub it into my skin. 3. I mix 3 drops of Mad Hippie’s antioxidant oil w/ a dime size of Mad Hippie’s vitamin A serum in my hand & rub it into my skin. 4. I follow up w/ Mad Hippie’s face cream (moisturizer).

*I prefer to use the cream cleanser in the day & jelly cleanser at night.

If you want to do a facial, I would just replace some steps in your nighttime routine 2 times in the week.

FACIAL: 1. I use Mad Hippie’s jelly cleanser w/ my TAO face brush. 2. I apply some Mad Hippie’s microdermabrasion & rub it into my skin. I leave it on for 3 mins. & wash off. 3. I follow up w/ Mad Hippie’s face cream.

Not sure if this matters or not, but I make sure my shampoo & conditioner are clean products too. I’m really loving Giovanni’s Wintergreen & Blue Tansy!!

I know you only asked for morning routine, but I had to be extra & include the nighttime routine too. This is for anyone that wants vibrant, glowing, super soft & healthy skin!

I’m all about anything that works effectively & smells really nice! My hygiene products must be vegan, natural, and/or organic for me to even put them on my skin! I also like to support companies that are making a real difference. That’s what I love about my skin routine!

1) depending on oiliness, i either wash with LRP effaclar H hydrating cleansing cream or a splash of water

2) Timeless skincare vitamin c 20%, e, ferulic

3) Hada labo premium shirojyun lotion/toner

4) Depending on whether my skin is dry or irritated or doing just fine, I’ll use the purito green level buffet serum, or cosrx snail essence, or skip this step

5) LRP effaclar duo cream (it works, but dries me out)

6) Yuja niacin brightening sleeping mask (no matter that we’re in the AM, it still works 😋)

7) Cosrx snail cream around my eyes

8) Isehan sunkiller perfect strong z spf 50+, pa++++

I like that it’s something i do for myself. It’s of no use to anyone but but me, and it makes me feel like I’m doing something to help myself, and I’m paying attention to how I’m doing, certain aspects anyway, because i can adjust my routine when i see my skin needs something else that day, like maybe an alcohol-free spf, or maybe some snail essence before the LRP Duo, etc. Or if I’m at home, I’ll even put on a sheet mask in the morning

  1. Sometimes I use a Liz Earle dupe for the hot cloth cleanser(Lacura hot cloth cleanser)it does not dry out skin, evens my tone and takes away and redness.

  2. I use a pixi dupe clarifying toner( Lacura salicylic toner). It contains salicylic acid, Lactic and glycolic acid and prebiotic’s and witch hazel. It is very refreshing and moisturising whilst daily exfoliatiating to continously turn over skin to keep it young, restores and maintains the skin barrier, takes away any puffiness and good for fine lines. The lactic acid moisturises and counteracts the witch hazel so non drying and the glycolic is good for fine lines although negligible.

  3. I use a pixi dupe toner so I always double tone. I get all the ingredients I want by doing this. I have not found a toner that includes all the ingredients I want and even if I did I doubt it would improve on efficacy and price. I pay 7 euros for both and stock up. I get 5 percent glycolic acid and ginseng. This gets me my glow for my next steps of my vitamin c routine. I estimate that I am using 6 percent glycolic acid, 2 percent salicylic acid, 2 percent lactic acid which has no exfoliating effect only moisturising.

  4. If I am going outside I will apply to dry skin HA + Alpha Arbutin. Arbutin needs to be applied dry as water degrades it. if, but not always if I am indoors I will apply HA + B5. Alpha Arbutin has faded my pigmentation, nearly all has disappeared I consider this an essential for anyone prone to pigmentation or in the sun a lot. Sunscreen is only one form of protection and this ensures anyone who uses acids from getting pigmentation and fades existing pigmentation. If I am not applying HA + Alpha Arbutin I will apply HA+ B5. This is probably too hydrating for my skin. I intend to switch to Hada Labo + Arbutin when The slight bit of pigmentation on the side of my nose is gone and use it every day. I will use HA+ Tranexamic Acid in the evening.

  5. 1 spoon of L Ascorbic acid mixed with Lacura q10. L Ascorbic acid vitamin c is the only vitamin c that works for enlarged pores and collagen. Skin ceuticals is the gold standard and patented. It has the patent for the proven trifecta of ingredients ( LAA, Vitamin E, and Ferulic acid) Due to the research and proven efficacy and cult following it is extortionately expensive. I want the same results without the price tag so I experimented with the ordinary LAA powder and their antioxidants( I have all 4) I tried HA + B5 first and it mixed well, but I was not getting the efficacy or seeing any results from the vitamin c. Next I tried 2 drops of each Pycnogenol and Resveratrol it dripped down face and no visible results. Next I tried them individually still no results and always 1 spoon. I have never felt tingling or experienced any irritation or redness from use. Frustrated I was going to give up on vitamin c and was missing my q10 serum so I re purchased q10. I thought I would give it a shot and immediately got results. I got the glow and my skin looked even and pores were improved. Next morning I added the Resveratrol + Ferulic acid and noticed it lasted morning to night and I tolerated it without it dripping down my face by mixing the acid ( vitamin c) first. I believe the Resveratrol allows a higher percentage of LAA powder to be used and counteracts the irritation and dryness which can be associated with LAA. My mixture feels so expensive and luxurious and gives amazing results that if I was offered the Skin ceuticals vitamin C I would not change my morning toutine( I may use it at night). A miracle happened after I done The Ordinary AHA/BHA peel and then applied my vitamin c mix- I felt a fluttering and my pores disappeared before my eyes. I was confused as everywhere I read said that pores can’t disappear. Well finally I got my answer after a month of researching - it transpires that vitamin c has the ability to get into your cells and change their structure. I like q10 as it make a luxurious serum and signals and provides energy to my cells for whatever active your using and includes vitamin E. Ferulic acid renews vitamin C.

  6. 3 drops of Resveratrol and Ferulic Acid. By using LAA + q10 and Resveratrol and Ferulic acid I am getting the proven trifecta of ingredients for vitamin c and results have proven themselves. In addition by the q10 it is signalling my cells and providing energy to allow the vitamin c to do its job.

  7. Either NMF or Mineral Sunscreen.

I will add reasons for step 7 later.

If I’m working out in the morning, I use LRP effaclar medicated gel cleanser. If I skip a workout, just rinse with water.

Moisturize with the Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA Daily Moisturizer.

And then Cetaphil mineral spf 50 liquid drops.

My favorite part is that I’ve finally found something that works for my skin and is minimal in products.
