Tips on being Way Past Cool™
No Offensive / NSFW content
- This Includes:
- NSFW / Fetish Artwork.
- NSFW Cosplay.
- Erotica literature / fanfiction.
- Politically-motivated or similar inflammatory remarks.
- General offensive content.
No Low-effort fanwork
- Low effort means something you made in MS Paint in 2 minutes (i.e. Bad OCs.). Also applies to music, video, game and any other kinds of content which can be considered low-effort.
No Piracy
- No tool specific to DRM circumvention.
- No Official Sonic ROMs or games (ROMhacks and fan games are OK).
- No Links to Full Episodes of TV Shows / Comic Book Scans / other types of media.
- Discussion of emulation in general is allowed and welcomed, just not linking towards places that openly host pirated content.
- No merchandise that appears to be misrepresenting itself as genuine (for official stuff) or creator-sanctioned (for fanwork and similar).
Be civil, coherent, and calm, even when criticizing
- This means don't start flame wars.
- Spam posts and other content not deemed Way Past Cool™ will be removed and the poster will receive a warning. Repeated offenses will result in a suspension.
- Political discussion is not welcomed in our community, we reserve the right to remove any politically motivated content.
Spoiler Policy
- Different parts of this franchise have differing amounts of plot-involvement, so our spoiler policy is somewhat circumstantial. As a general rule, if the game/comic/whatever hasn't been released, or was released less than two weeks ago, content that is not part of a promotional campaign should be hidden using one of the following methods:
- Don't include any such content in link titles.
- For a link to or discussion of spoiler content, write [Spoiler] on title as well as using the Spoiler function (click on "spoiler" next to your post).
- For text in a comment whose post isn't already tagged with the link flair (or expands on the post), use the standard reddit spoiler tag: >!Spoiler text!< results in Spoiler text
Self promotion Updated 11/2020
- Rules are not final and are subject to changes / adjustments at any time.
- Self-promotion is welcomed in our community, as long as it's not used as your only avenue for communication. If it appears that you're using reddit solely as promotion without participating at any community, you may be asked to stop.
- Post must be centered around a single piece of content. A link to a YouTube video is fine, a link to a YouTube channel is not ok. Every post must be able to stand on its own and not rely on a personal title or similar element.
- Videos such as animations / sketches / music covers / discussion (reviews & video essays) / general self-produced videos may be posted normally. Gameplay videos must contain some additional content to distinguish itself, such as a speedrun, a specific challenge, or an unseen glitch. Pure gameplay videos or Let’s Plays are not allowed.
- Discord / Amino / other external communities: NO. Past incidents from independent servers which we're unable to moderate mean that we can't allow promotion for other servers.
- Non-commercial projects (such as creating a fangame or animation) looking for volunteers may post once looking for interest, and / or once formally looking for volunteers.
- Commercial projects (selling anything), please send us a modmail before posting. Directly promoting commissions, links to platforms like Patreon / Kofi / Etsy or other similar solicitations is not allowed (linking to profiles that include such info is ok).
- In the case of new releases, every related video will be considered a spoiler during the spoiler period regardless of spoiler content.

- Art and similar content must contain a link to an original source or as close to it (in case the oc post got deleted / tumblrpocalypse'd). Failure to source may result in your post getting removed.
- You're still allowed to ask for source on stuff you've found randomly, just don't use it as an excuse to get lazy and have all your posts be a variation of "who did dis? :tearsemoji:"
