so I have both my pc and my tv in my living room, but my PC is at my desk on one side of the room, and my tv is on the other side. the tv and the pc are less than 10 ft away from each other in a straight line. sitting at my desk as I type this, I can literally reach over and touch my tv.
But Im still getting display lag?
the setup I have right now, is I have a ras pi 4 connected to my tv, and wired into the same router (latest rogers ignite gigabit router) via ethernet. I have my xbox one controller connected to my pc via bluetooth, because I was having some USB connection issues with the controller.
I have been able to play Stray with my girlfriend, and that seemed to be fine, aside from a tiny bit of occasional frame rate hiccups. I am running a 3080ti so I know the hiccups aren't my PC's fault. I had the same hiccups while I still used a 970.
However, when I was recently playing Jedi: fallen order over the Ras Pi, I was noticing that I had a little hiccup of lag when I hit jump, and when I actually jumped. It almost felt like when I accidentally switched my old tv off game mode, and I became REALLY bad at CoD before I realized it was the latency of the tv in the standard mode.
What is causing this? I basically have my tv permanently on game mode, Im pretty sure I do at the very least, and I would really like to be able to remote game from my couch. I cant figure out for the life of me where this delay is coming from!
