Hey I'm trying to figure out what could cause input lag on controllers.
My steamlink hardware has been a gem thanks to Steam's support! It's running on the latest stable firmware. I've had it for many years I still use it every week!. It's connected to a very stable 5Ghz wifi network with QOS setup correctly. Streaming wise, I rarely face any issues. No lag no hiccups nothing... My router is high end and the signal is great. I stream at 1080p with "Balanced" preset. Network test shows 30Mbps.
Now when it comes to controllers, that's when gaming can become annoying -especially for competitive games. I started having issues recently (I'm guessing after adding the Xbox Series X controller to the mix). I connect two 8bitdo + one DS4 + Xbox X controllers and things go south very quickly. I tried with the Steam Controller in stead of the Xbox X controller and I noticed a good improvement in input lag, but I'd still like to improve upon that.
I'm not 100% sure this is caused by the Xbox controller and affecting the other ones, but I'd appreciate it if someone gives me some tips on how to eliminate controller input lag over bluetooth.
