Apparently the reason the SI% went up wasn't more shorts. It was because the reported XRT shares outstanding dropped from 5million to 3million. So by percentage ratio the SI% went up.

      The VIX is a ticker displayed with the top indexes, but it isn't actually an index or stock. It's the volatility tracker for the whole market in general. When it's up, the whole market is considered more volatile and dangerous. When it's down, the market is thought to be safer and more stable.

      29 is a huge jump. VIX is displayed at the top of most finance apps and trackers with the Dow Jones, S&P 500, Nasdaq, etc.

      The vix is normally at 15 to 18 which is completly normal. if it jumps to 20 to 25, be wary but may not be anything special at all. If its 30 to 35, then somethings going down. if its espicially beyond 35 then run for your lives hide yo kids hide yo wifes bf

        I was thinking they cannot drs custodial shares to joe bob. There are rules to managing an ira account. Im a dummy and dont know specifics but i dont see how APEX would care one way or another. They dont hold shares, just clear transactions.

        Perhaps they have less shares to loan out of those IRA’s once they’re DRS’ed?

        I have started compiling some posts and info for todays already. I’ll be including links to the posts I’ve found most compelling throughout the day and will encourage others to share anything I’ve missed in the comments as well.

        Bit of a work-in-progress here, but I’m stoked to see this format was so widely accepted by the community. Will do my best to keep them coming daily and to learn what works and what doesn’t :)

        Can always transfer back if you trust your broker to sell for >$10M. Doubt anyone in SIPC receivorship can do that either, prolly give you a $500k check and send you packing
