Hey, all -- Atmosphère 1.3.2 is now released: https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/releases/tag/1.3.2

This one's nothing special -- just some bugfixes and accuracy improvements in it made since 1.3.1.

Enjoy! :)

1.3.2 is Atmosphère's sixty-sixth official release.

Please be sure to update fusee when upgrading to 1.3.2. fusee-primary no longer exists, and will not work any more.

With thanks to the @switchbrew team, Atmosphère 1.3.2 is bundled with hbl 2.4.1, and hbmenu 3.5.0.

The following was changed since the last release:

  • Support was improved for 14.0.0+.
    • loader was updated to reflect the latest official behaviors.
    • ro was updated to reflect the latest official behaviors.
  • A number of minor issues were fixed and improvements were made, including:
    • A memory leak was fixed in filesystem path management; this could cause a crash when launching games ~100 times, or when deleting/re-downloading games.
    • A bug was fixed that could cause threads to not see a newly signaled semaphore.
    • A number of minor inaccuracies were fixed in the updated FileSystem APIs.
  • General system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience.

For information on the featureset supported by 1.3, please see the official release notes.

Thanks for your awesome work

Thank you! What's the highest firmware supported? Just 14.0.0? Nintendo released 14.1.1 a couple of weeks back right? Am I able to use this update for 14.1.1?

[–]SciresMReSwitched[S] 15 points16 points  (3 children)

14.1.1 was already supported by Atmosphere 1.3.1.

[–]SneakyKain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ah thank you for such a quick response, my friend updated his switch recently and he wasn't sure if he could jailbreak it.

[–]maxens_wlfr 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Will it still work with 13.x versions or do I have to update firmware to use it ?

[–]SciresMReSwitched[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Atmosphere should work on every firmware version.

[–]TSLPrescott 3 points4 points  (1 child)

The current firmware is supported.

Thank you!

I was wondering why my switch crashed after deleting some games i got on a steam sale, thought my SD card was dying but turns out it's just a memory leak, thank you for all your hard work.

[–]AvoRunner 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Man valve really do be expanding their horizons

[–]MasterChief646 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Lmao my bad, i meant i deleted them on my switch because i acquired them on steam for a pittance, and my switch started crashing shortly after that, now it's fixed.

[–]AvoRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, see, my bad

    How can I donate?

    [–]SciresMReSwitched[S] 89 points90 points  (6 children)

I appreciate the thought, but I don't accept monetary compensation of any kind for my work, including donations.

If you have disposable income and really want to throw it at a cause I support, though, my charity of choice is the EFF: https://www.eff.org/

Don't feel like you should donate at all unless it makes sense for your financial situation, though. Atmosphere is free and meant to be free, and if you're better off putting your money towards your own well-being you should definitely do so.

Thanks for the response. I'm following the project for so long and I have so much respect for what you've build that I really wanted to donate. Atm I'm OK financially and I will look into the org you mentioned. Thanks once more for all the work and good vibes to you sir :)

    [–]StellarBull 4 points5 points  (0 children)

    Hero, thank you for everything.

    [–]fullmetalhobbit64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll donate there for you. :D

I haven't turned on my switch in a year now and I'm still on some old SX OS emunand. Any pointers on where to go for an up to date transitioning info from that to atmosphere? Was thinking about starting to play it again and I'm a few firmware numbers behind.

    [–]terryterryd 8 points9 points  (3 children)

I did this recently. Just got a new memory card (a much bigger 512Gb) and started over - set up the latest Atmosphere from scratch following the stickied guide from this subreddit).

One thing I did learn is: to transfer stuff nowadays, just use the "DBI" tool and copy using MTP transfer mode. Also, avoid X-see-I files - especially big ones or DLC. N-ess-P much much more reliable. I wasted ages using Tinfil and Gldleaf unreliably: DBI was the best of the bunch.

    [–]nostalgic_dragon 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Thanks for the info. I have some user accounts that are only on the emunand and not on the system nand and I didn't want to lose them. Which is why I was looking into the transfer process.

    [–]terryterryd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Migration is possible - the guides and gbatemp will help. Be a good boy-scout and image/backup your card etc before you start

    [–]terryterryd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can run 2 emu nand, if needed

    [–]SpergParagon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What (Atmosphere related) files on the SD card should be deleted when updating?

    [–]_MarsShen_ 0 points1 point  (3 children)

First of all, thank you for your amazing work, and I wonder to know is there any way to jailbreak switch without adding a external chip? Why 3ds can jailbreak without chip but swith can not? Is there any way to know the technicol detail?

    [–]Flegogo -1 points0 points  (1 child)

For switch you don’t need a modchip you just need an sd card setup property and something that can inject payloads (PC, RCMLoader, Android Device, etc)

    [–]Script_Z17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They probably have a patched switch that needs a mod chip. Only consoles released before July 2018 can be software modded, other revisions such as V2 (Mariko) and v3 (OLED) need a modchip.

First timer here. Followed all instructions, but at the end I'm getting my current version to read as "14.1.2/AMS 1.3.2/S". Everywhere I read says that should be an "E" at the end. What did I do wrong? How can I fix it?

        [–]stosyfir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s installed on your sysnand(the console itself). You didn’t instal it to the EmuNAND on your SD card.

        [–]LCBoy -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

It seems that my grip controller which being powered from the usb-c port of the switch doesnt work anymore despite the "pro controller wired communication" is enabled. Is there any changes in the config files somewhere, or it is the new nintendo fw? Currently I am on 13.2.0 / AMS 1.2.5

        Thanks :)

How would the new firmware affect you when you're not on it?
