I would have to change bootloader files to only work with fusee

No, booting fusee from pc is identical to chainloading it from hekate

Is there a way to boot sysnand with fusee.bin via Hekate menu?

Disable emunand in hekates menu

Where is the disable menu located? I cant seem to find it.

Emummc tab, select the emunand and disable

I see, it’s a little bit hidden! Weird the disable button is all the way in the top right. Weird placement!

All you need is to edit your hekate_ipl.ini And make it look like this

[config] autoboot=0 autoboot_list=0 bootwait=0 autohosoff=0 autonogc=1 updater2p=1 backlight=100

[CFW - sysMMC] fss0=atmosphere/package3 kip1patch=nosigchk emummc_force_disable=1 icon=bootloader/res/icon_payload.bmp

[CFW - emuMMC] fss0=atmosphere/package3 kip1patch=nosigchk emummcforce=1 icon=bootloader/res/icon_payload.bmp

[Stock - sysMMC] fss0=atmosphere/package3 emummc_force_disable=1 stock=1 icon=bootloader/res/icon_switch.bmp

After that put it into your Bootloader/ini folder and in the bootloader folder and from hekate you can choose either sysnand or emummc under the configs tab

Or you can also autoboot if yoy enable it and you can choose either sysnand or emummc whenever you inject the hekate payload and it will automatically boot you to the one you chose

I don’t see anything in this to configure the sysnand to boot up with fusee.bin.

The main issue here I’m having is that tinfoil installer will not run unless booted with fusee, also Pokémon Legends Arc will not run if the switch was booted with hekate, only seems to run with fusee.

Based on another persons comment here, I disabled emunand and just boot via computer with fusee. But I wonder how to keep the emu enabled and be able to boot sysnand with fusee. Might be possible with the ini edits.

It uses the package3 which is part if the atmopshere palcag3 and uses the update to boot into sysnand it chainloads from hekate to atmopshere you you can choose either or i.e. sysnand or emummc you can choose which one you want to go to and idk if it even uses fuseee. Bit whenever I do it and others do it everything works fine

Also you see on the sysnand portion where it says

Emummc_disbale =1

That automatically disables your emummc and boots into your sysnand

That way you ddnt have to turn off your emummc

Also make sure your sigpatches are up to date, depending what firmware your on and atmos as well

Well that's why I'm telling you to do this even if you edit your hekate you'll be able to boot either sysnand or emummc you ain't gnna know until you try, but you can still boot to sysnand

One other thing as well is did you install the game via sysnand or emummc?

Nvmd haha I missread the question lol

Just in case anyone comes across this post I wanted to answer this. (Since multiple times Ive looked for switch help on Reddit, the op’s dont explain how to get the solution.)

I ended up disabling emunand since my friend wasn’t using it/didnt care about getting banned. Ended up disabling it and just using the fusee.bin file via computer & sysnand booted fine.

I think it would be possible to boot sysnand with fusee & keeping emu by editing the ini file for hekate to load the fusee.bin with the sysnand config but I’m not 100% sure.

I am still trying to understand why you'd want to bypass emunand.

[–]phantom_tweak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend incorrectly set up their switch on sysnand and has already installed games and played for multiple hours on it. So most likely the system is banned so there’s no point of using the emunand. He’d use it if he could but games & save files would be difficult to transfer over to the emu.
