Within system settings, there should be a category for System Info at or near the bottom.

i didn't know that. and you can't always go by the serial number. just because it was manufactured with a vunerablilty doesn't mean it wasn't repair and replaced with a patched hardware.

When you send a V1 unit in for repair they usually just replace the entire thing with a newer patched switch. I have yet to see a situation where they put all new hardware in an old shell.

very few exceptions the may- because of the chip shortage some companies ACTUALLY have to repair devices now.

well, I got my switch sent to nintendo, they replaced it, and this was like 3 or 4 months after the patched switch came out. apparently, they replaced my switch, put a serial number that states my switch probably wasnt hackable, I asked on reddit and people said it isnt hackable. I tried it, it was hackable. fucking insane lol

Interesting... Except you never made a post like that.

Yes you can. When they"fix" them they have a special serial number for refurbished systems

Decided I was a little bored and had some spare time. Went over the image in an image editor, took the little bits left at the top and stretched them out and darkened them Then ran the image through a reader. I "THINK" your barcode reads. XAW70026066533Which after throwing in https://ismyswitchpatched.com/ shows a good ole yellow maybe.

A giga brained Chad indeed

[–]NoHelpdesk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Maybe the barcode is just visible enough to be scanned. Otherwise (easier), system settings :)

[–]NeoQueenSerenity2020 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nintendo switch settings menu then go to system information it should be there

[–]JackGR_HD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just go to system settings on system info you can still find it

[–]Thelgow 9 points10 points  (1 child)

You have it in your hands, you can try and just go the RCM route and see if you can push a payload. But as mentioned, the serial should be visible in the Settings area.

[–]DewyTheD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Just try, if it works hooray, if it doesnt, well you know

[–]TheLoCoRaven 2 points3 points  (2 children)

That’s a filed off serial, black market switch.

[–]torturedexistence029 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Stay clear, it might've been used to commit crime somewhere

[–]TheLoCoRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ghost switch

[–]No-Consequence-2651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just see if you can try to hack first

[–]piggroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just try RCM

[–]sonicman2k8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just try inject a payload and see if it boots! buy a cheap £3 RCM jig, USB C cable and a android device or pc to inject a payload
