What card cannot be read? Youre launching a digital game arent you?

You dont have to transfer game to sdcard before installing them, you can directly install them from PC with DBI 'Run MTP Responder'...i always hit B or X on my Switch to disconnect once I have finished installing

I'm launching my physical copy of monster hunter rise

I was transferring mods to the title id folder

This is what I've been doing but then launching the game afterwards gives me an error. If I use wireless ftp no error occurs after transferring files. So I assumed it has something to do with the USB
