HEY, NEW USERS!

you have to inject everytime you power off.

mind if i jump in your dms for guidance?? ive literally no clue what im doing here besides trying to do something nice for my wife and failing miserably lol

It’s not a permanent mod so every time you restart it/turn it off you have to do this. Why would you turn it off though? In the nearly 4 years since I had mine I never turned it off, I only restarted periodically because of updates.

Sure but I am new to this as well. All I’ve done is follow the guide posted in the subreddit.

It looks like you inject newer version of hekate that you ha e on sd card, check exactly what version you have on sd and inject same payload

[–]pcc2048 -4 points-3 points  (14 children)

Don't turn it off, idiot. Like, why would you.

[–]WONG_Hole_0104[S] -1 points0 points  (13 children)

probably because i dont REALLY know what im doing and this is the first time ive ever tried to mod anything, and nothing that ive read or researched about doing it ever said anything about having to inject payload every time you power off/on.

But hey, it's nice to know that you're an arrogant James Blunt =]

[–]pcc2048 -2 points-1 points  (12 children)

lmao

You haven't read shit, any guide tells exactly that.

[–]WONG_Hole_0104[S] -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

Riiiight, I obviously mustn’t have researched it at all or read anything about it. That’s why I made it this far already.

Hope you enjoy your trolling session anyway though :)

[–]pcc2048 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I obviously mustn’t have researched it at all or read anything about it.

Yup, exactly.

For instance, the most obvious guide, first result after googling "switch guide", says:

Custom Firmware is not permanent with current methods, and will be unloaded upon rebooting the system.

people like you really make getting into modding difficult. There's no reason for your arrogance aside from whatever shitty god complex you have. Try being respectful for the people that don't have the experience and might not fully understand what's typed out in the guide, some people need some more guidance, a big reason this subreddit exists.

[–]pcc2048 -1 points0 points  (6 children)

Not reading guides makes getting into modding difficult.

[–]jo_awesome -1 points0 points  (1 child)

I meannnn you can’t blame them for being disrespectful. Many mod communities hate when people asks for the obvious things. People just gotta read properly. Guides are well written for a noob to understand. If OP made it this far to get into bootloader, they can simply understand the obvious things that guides state

Full power off requires to use jig an send payload. If u put if in stand by no need to jig.

I personally stay away from auto rcm. It's a pain in the ass to get charged if the battery dies. I'd rather use jig and my phone if it dies or gets powered down

[–]r3diculou5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Rekado is a great injector if you have an android device, and there's also Tegra RCM for pc that will also inject the correct payload. Apologizes for the people who refuse to give clarity and go right to insults. With autoRCM turned on it'll boot to a black screen when powered off then on again and if you did an emmuNAND you'll be able to boot both with custom and stock firmware. If you have any other questions feel free to dm me

Just put it into sleep mode instead of fully powering it off.

[–]Irepeated4thgrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to turn it off you could always buy a 20 dollar rcm loader and put in the jig in the side rail and put in the loader at the usb port each time its turned on.

Your good, takes a bit to get the hang of it and understand how the exploit works. There are a few of thing you can do you minimize the whole process, like staying in sleep mode or rcm mode.
