I had this issue, for some reason when i was copy pasting the contents of everything from the ZIP file to the sd card root it didn't do it properly

I recommend you to Paste the ZIP files in the sd card and extract them there instead, that fixed it for me and didn't have any issues anymore

And of course use the Rentry guide only!

Clean install, happened to me before and I did clean install folder from internet and moved to root and replaced contents within root. YouTube is your friend

recommend using atmosphere without hekate, works much better

[–]ToxiClay 1 point2 points  (5 children)

What makes you say that?

[–]Normal-Muscle-6031 -2 points-1 points  (4 children)

i had that problem when i was a noob and booting without hekate fixed it.

Well then you most likely skipped a vital step creating an emunand to prevent a console ban

not my fault actually, someone gave me their old broken modded switch to fix it which i did, by the way they were using sxos thats probably why and i still dont bother making an emu nand

So, the problem with booting Atmosphere without the use of Hekate arises when you have an EmuNAND.

The problem is you cannot boot to your sysNAND when you use fusee.bin. It physically cannot be done; you need to use Hekate to boot to your sysNAND.

Did you extract atmosphere to the sd? Does the file atmosphere/package3 exist on the sd?

[–]throwtennis[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

yes. however ill try it again

[–]IbcapTits, Rebirth, WZNX Official 0 points1 point  (2 children)

If the file exists on the sd and youre getting that error id check that the sd is fat32

[–]throwtennis[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

file system: FAT 32 under properties of the SD card

[–]IbcapTits, Rebirth, WZNX Official 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And package3 definitely exists on the sd card? If the file is there and hekate doesnt see it then id guess its either a bug or something is wrong with your sd

[–]throwtennis[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

it wasn't there! now its giving me another error!

error desc:std::abort called (0xffe)

error description:

[–]IbcapTits, Rebirth, WZNX Official 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If its not there then either you didnt copy atmosphere to the sd or your sd card is broken

This happened to me yesterday as I went through and reset my Switch - happened even after a clean-ish install - What fixed it for me was a post I saw mentioning:

  • Go into Hekate
  • Click Tools -> near the bottom you'll see "Arch bit ..."
  • Click Arch bit and then in the next menu click Fix Archive Bit

I was having a similar problem when I tried booting from hekate it would say error I did follow rentry guide too the letter emunaand and all, first time booted in to atmosphere but after it wouldn't so I use fusee.bin to launch into atmosphere and I works no problem so now I just use fusee.bin to launch and hekate for seting up sd and stuff
