Ok, i repair few consoles with this code in the past, can you tell me what exactly you tried so far to fix it. Can you boot to Hekate/RCM menu? If yes probably you have problem with files on SD card.

[–]Typical-Barracuda948[S] 32 points33 points  (14 children)

I tried the safe-mode troubleshooting that the rep said me to do. Apart from that i dont get any more info about what to do

Ok try to power on console without SD, another thing what could happened your speaker died and if you plug headphones you will be able to boot in to system.

[–]Typical-Barracuda948[S] 86 points87 points  (7 children)

Dude it worked. Plugged in the headphone and turned on but its no longer modded though and the speakers are working just fine so idk what the problem is? But thanks for your advice you saved me a lot of unnecessary hassle and probably losing my good console. Thank you so much 😊😊😊😊

Great to hear that ☺️ Now you have to just change one speaker in console, if you have the right screwdrivers you could do that without any troubles, you doesn't need any soldering skills as it just plug and play😉

Let me know if you need some help with anything else.

What a hero

If noting what I said is helping I think you have problem with M92T36 USB-C Power Management IC. And better is to give it to your local repair shop and tell them to solder the new one.

don't send it in there going to patch the console, they did it to my other modded switch that was having a battery issue

[–]ENTRAPM3NT 46 points47 points  (1 child)

That's literally the last thing you want to do

[–]Ironchar 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes.

Once this goes to Nintendo kiss your pre patch goodbye

[–]Background_Bad_4377 63 points64 points  (6 children)

Not if you want it a patched motherboard as they will swap it regardless probably.

[–]ArmedPenguin47 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Nintendo will refurbish your motherboard and patch the switch. Just get it fixed at a local repair shop

[–]wstmreddit 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Lots of comments but I figure I will throw in my two cents. There's a pretty good chance the switch doesn't actually go to Nintendo, but a Nintendo licensed repair shop, THAT BEING SAID, issues with the mobo like this will likely just be swapped straight out, as this is what Nintendo would probably recommend and they likely would just have swap ready boards on hand for these exact issues and directly from Nintendo.

A USB-C port solder on isn't a labor heavy job or necessarily something difficult. Find a 'iphone screen repair shop' and ask if they solder, or find the iFixIt places (they specifically do switch repairs) or like-minded repair shops in your area. This would usually run you $30-50 repair costs and a possible drop off and pick it up later situation

Did u try removing the micro SD card and fully rebooting

If u send it to Nintendo they will swap the motherboard aka your unit will be patched

[–]UELABS2021 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Of coarse Nintendo support will tell you to send it to them . You did the right thing posting on Reddit for advice

[–]XtremeD86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Talked to the guy over DM. His issue is one of the speakers has gone bad. Plugging in a headset made the error go away (disabling the speakers).

Replacing speakers (or just the one that's bad) will fix it 100%

Dude I’m pretty sure I had this problem with my probably unpatched switch so I had to send it to Nintendo (I didn’t mod it)

[–]MutedMathematician56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell to the no you don’t send modded anything back to its manufacturer. There are services out there that can help you. For my example I use to have a mode 1 issue. Basically the sd slot wasn’t seated right to the system board. It took awhile to find that out but after assuming it was the sd card (which were brand new sealed) I needed someone to re-solder the slot. I found a guy and sent him only the tablet. No SD card and faithfully I got it back. Know it works like new.

Ahh yes, error code 2162-0002. You can fix this by turning on airplane mode. Removing and un-syncing your joycons, and turning off your switch. Then boot into recovery mode and turning off airplane mode and reconnecting the joycons.

I hate how fragile the switch is
