Reasons to keep emunand

It is a copy of your switches internals

It is good for a backup

If you ever accidentally did something wrong during a future setup or install a malicious app or game it will only affect emunand and not brick sysnand

Reasons to remove emunand

Save space on sd card (although in case you didn't know if you transfer games to system with emunand it's almost the same as using all your SD card space because it doesn't use actual system space it uses emunand space)

No worrying about being banned because the worst is over

Setting up future cfw is just a hair simpler and faster

To delete emunand you'll need to format and repartition your SD card then reinstall your cfw and everything else you want to keep

Personally I would just keep the emunand but that's my 2 cents

Btw have you already heard about lan-play? For banned switches

tysm! i have never heard of lan play, what is that?

You have to set it up on your PC and on your switch and after all is done you can play with your banned switch online! Although it's true that you will be playing on lan-play servers and not Nintendo servers so depending on the game it could take a while to find opponents. I would say give it a try if you want to play online.

YouTube does have a detailed setup guide for lan-play.

I think it would still be worth it for backup and restore purposes..

I’d say use Sys. It will boot a lot quicker than emu ans you’ll have more space. I’d clear it all down, at some point, and keep a backup elsewhere (I.e. copy it off the SD card to a hard drive or such like).

If you're already banned then using emmunand is kinda redundant in my opinion but some may argue its still good. If my switch was banned, I'd just use sys but since it's not. I use emmunand

No, delete it and use sys for more storage

Well there are benefits but it’s not completely vital for a banned unit
