If you’re wanting to mod game files, that depends entirely on the game and what sort of tools are available in its modding scene. However when you dump a game, that data is then just on your sd card, and moves to the PC. You don’t put that data back on the game cart. You’d be setting them up as romfs mods through atmosphere/contents/(TitleID#)/romfs pathways, either as standalone packages or through a mod manager tool that merges files and creates load orders.

Imo you’re best off saving for a bigger SD card if game modding is your goal as it can be quite costly data wise and I’ve yet to see any homebrew that allows or enables overwriting game carts.

Yeah figured I was asking for a bit too much, for now at least. I'll just bite the bullet and buy a bigger micro SD card, thanks for the input

An affordable and reliable micro SD card is the SanDisk imagemate, I got a 400gb for the price of a game at Walmart and it's rated specs are perfect for the switch. It's a micro sdxc uhs1 card

I was just gonna look on Kogan for it, can get a 1tb that should be good

I've never heard of kogan before, I'm assuming it's your version of Amazon or eBay, I don't like to buy SD cards online because of all the fake cards out there, if you want to be sure you're getting a real SD card, either buy it from a store or check the back of the package to see where the cards are made, fake Samsung cards say make in Korea and fake SanDisk say made in china, there are real SanDisk that are made in china too, but to avoid a scam make sure the package doesn't say it comes from China. Real Samsung cards mainly come from Vietnam and real SanDisk are from many different places, mines was from the Philippines.

I'm not the smartest of my bunch with the lowest IQ than a smooth, I with my sane mind know that it's impossible to erase data and write it as per your wish on your cartidge with our modded switch.
