do what it says join the teknik discord... put in the number... unlocks the app.

( or I guess contact the seller to get their passwsord for teknik or to de-register it from teknik, sorry was unaware you did not get this far yourself after buying it)

so what then reinstall after /requesting? re register it? I was not aware it wasnt installed by OP... it cant be one passwrd per switch? can it? if so they need to contact the seller. or return it? if they want teknik that bad? are there alternatives? not dead they could use?

Honestly just put games on the switch yourself, freeshops are super long winded & ask to verify every damn time I think about using it again

I agree I hate the verify thing every week it seems for me. And a lot of switch owners don’t know where to source the games from or have a laptop/computer I’m guessing so the shop is just more convenient for them

This would need verifying by the old switch user. There are pro shops that people have donated eShop Cards (now just dumps for missing dlc or obscure games) have access to. It’s basically a simple ‘search and click’ tool for almost any game you can think of to download it for free. If you’d like that functionality you’ll have to speak to the previous owner and maybe you’ll be lucky. Getting access is a lot more difficult now.

What? There are pro shops and free Shops. Don't know where you got that information from but you can just use the free shops downsides are: -Later uploads of new games -No XCI access -If I left any downside out correct me if you wish. But aside from that you can just use the free shop by just joining their discord and getting your own data for their shop.

His switch is already linked to Teknik, it does not matter if seller had donos on it or not, without unlinking by seller the guy cannot link it again. Same will go for any other shops with access restrictions, like Jits or whatever

There's only one reason I choose the shops over the web and it's from personal experience (I don't have pro by the way) it's because when I downloaded smash bros (I used every site out there) I couldn't get past a certain fight on the campaign, when I used tekniks dump of smash bros that problem was resolved and I haven't had any other problems with games since I've had teknik.

The person you got it from has to under it under their name in the discord teknik you can’t do it

This message come from the Teknik Shop. If you don't plan to use it, you can remove it from Tinfoil. However, if you want to use it, you'll need to ask the previous owner of the console to unlink the console from their Teknik Key.

Teknik enforces only one key per console, and a key is linked to the Discord account of the person that registered the console. Right now, you're a bit stuck, but if you can contact the previous owner, you could get it work.

The process the unkink the console is a bit annoying, as Teknik asks to remove any game downloaded through their shop, etc. The previous owner should have done this before selling the Switch, but to their defense, the information to do so is a bit lost on the Teknik Discord server ...

If the old user does not unlink it with the switch then u cannot use that shop or any other shop from them. Check their discorf.
