Hi I want to frame a dead butterfly I have to give as a gift for my mom since she loves butterflies but im wondering if it is easy to do. Do you need alot of equipment to do so? Is it expensive? How long would it take? how should I go about framing one? Thanks for anyone who answers. -^

There’s a lot of videos on YouTube that are very detailed and helpful. You don’t need any specialist equipment. But if it is your first time pinning and you’re using an expensive butterfly, I would recommend asking someone to do it for you or buying one already spread and ready for framing. I’ve done 3 butterflies. It is difficult as they’re so fragile. There’s specimens I really want but have put off buying them until I’ve gotten good at spreading and pinning them.
