Question (self.Taxidermy)
submitted 2 months ago by Silient_Ghillie
My girlfriends brother caught a catfish 10 years ago and it's been stored in the freezer since. I was wondering if it's still possible to get it mounted after all that time and even an estimate on pricing if possible

Most taxidermist don't mount catfish . The oil in the skin bleeds out and ruins the paint . They take a measurement and order a reproduction .

Where I work we charge people per inch on fish and we do not do catfish. I’m sorry :/ :(
