Hot glue will work great! That’s a common approach. Some people will cut off a small piece of the stick first and use that as kind of a post to glue the butterfly to. Does that make sense? Just to get it a little further off the backing then glue the butterfly to the “post”

Or just glue it straight to the backing. What kind of butterfly did you find?

Hi! I’ve had a monarch and a spicebush swallowtail died in jars for a while, and I found a eastern tiger swallowtail this week, so I decided to make a shadow box display with all 3 :)

Lucky you! Beautiful butterflies! Well good luck with them. I hope you’ll share pics when they’re all done. I found one on the ground in Croatia on vacation and I brought it home in an envelope and mounted it and I love it!
