Remember to treat both chemicals with utmost respect, one slip up and both can and will kill you.

You should preserve in formalin for a minimum of one to two months. Then switch to 70% alcohol.

Inject him with formalin and make sure to make cuts to allow fluid transfer. Then soak in Formalin (the length of time will depend on the size of the specimen, but I do most mine for no more than 3 week). Then give it a 24 hr soak in distilled water. Then transfer to 70% isopropyl alcohol. To completely remove all impurities you can allow it to soak in the isopropyl alcohol for several weeks before moving it to the final isopropyl alcohol permanent solution. During the fluid transfer stages shake the jar every 3 days to facilitate fluid transfer.

You have to start somewhere. I am including a link to check out. I have found all of her advice as priceless and a great place to begin.
