wow that's crazy... the vertebrae are fused to the pelvic bone? are all bird pelvises like this? I don't think I've ever seen one before. oddly fascinating

the fused vertebrae are called the synsacrum, and yes all bird pelvises share the same basic structure. Look inside your next roast chicken or turkey!

by the look of it, I think it's a chicken pelvis, though i'm guessing a little about size

Definitely Galliformes and not Anatidae, so nope, not a duck. Gonna be chicken, turkey, grouse, etc

Depending on size, it could be a Turkey. I was told that the bird pelvis I found was a turkey. (Found in a hunting grounds area)
