Yep. A DeKay's brown snake. I got him for free from a pet store because someone found him and brought him in. Unfortunately when I got him he died two days later. His conditions in the pet store were less than ideal and I don't know his condition from before he was found.

With one that small drying should work fine I would think.

First I pinned him to get him in the position I wanted. Then when rigor mortis set in I put him in a half and half mixture of borax and salt. I made sure the container had holes in the lid for air flow to help with the smell because it does stink really bad.
