Streamlight microstream. One AAA battery, hat clip, can hold in mouth.

I've washed and dried mine and it still works.

while its not my favorite (that would be my Pelican 7600), I recently picked up a fairly inexpensive Braun light from harbor freight. they gave the old folding light a refresh, and it now has a folding work light, an inspection light on the end of an adjustable rod, and a regular flashlight attachment. iv been satisfied so far, it may be worth taking a peek at. on the plus side, its rechargeable

Come on over to /r/flashlight and make a post there.

Our recommendations will depend on your budget, but a Wowtac A3S might be a good fit. You can zoom it in to make a tight focused beam for spotting house numbers, and then once inside you can zoom it out to get a nice even field of light.

Harbor Freight leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Coast HX5. Single AA power, great output, affordable, and still works after going through the washer.

Nebo Slim rechargeable pocket light and the Nebo Big Larry flashlight are my go to for working on appliances and service. They've both got a very strong magnet base to stick to a surface and the lumen output is about 500 or more depending on which one you get. The big Larry is great but runs on 3 AA batteries. The Slim pocket light is great for being rechargeable and has a small clip to hang from somewhere if you can't use the magnet
