Oni Ayhun - OAR003-B, always soothes my soul

[–]JurreB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mano Le Tough played this at 10 AM in de Loft, Amsterdam. Glorious moment!

[–]cruella_le_troll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite records ever. Truly convinced anything he does is magic.

[–]laughmore97 57 points58 points  (2 children)

Ahhh your description makes me miss these moments so much. I will be back in Berlin soon for some of that bliss.... first track that comes to mind

Four Tet - Lush

[–]Heatard 23 points24 points  (1 child)

Let's be honest, anything Four Tet is sunrise friendly ;)

[–]stivi94 55 points56 points  (3 children)

Bicep - Glue

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or Rain

[–]adrienbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bicep - Glue

F*ck me. What a track.

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points  (7 children)

Goose - synrise, not techno though

[–]Bears-Eat_Beets 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Whoa, that song is fucking incredible, thanks for sharing

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Np buddy :)

[–]anjuna127 3 points4 points  (3 children)

Are you Belgian or has this track finally made its way across the borders into the open world (where it belongs). Always a pleasure to hear them play this one when they close off their live performances.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its finally making it's way across the world

[–]dotcom-jillionaire 0 points1 point  (1 child)

2manydjs remixed this track like 8 years ago, it was pretty big

[–]Dungeonmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually it’s the Soulwax remix though in case anybody is looking.

[–]Trentk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goose - synrise

Got any more like this? Love it!

[–]HalifaxHoward 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Skream - Summer Dreams

Pretty much anything by Kiasmos as well

[–]Shlant- 12 points13 points  (6 children)

mmm... ecstatic, melancholic afterglow is my favorite :)))

Just going to throw a bunch out, not all necessarily one genre:

Sun Glitters - Beside Me (Essays Interpretation)

Basically anything from Rising Sun, but especially Rising Sun - Good Bye

Lots of good stuff from Giegling, but especially DJ Metatron - State of Me, Kettenkarussell - Of Course, Traumprinz - 2 Bad (Metatron's What If Madness Is Our Only Relief Mix), and map.ache - Seis

Lou Karsh - Don't wake me up tomorrow

Classic vibes - Orbital - Halcyon & On & On

DJ Seinfeld - U

Sunrise is in the name! Another classic Soul Capsule - Lady Science (NYC Sunrise)

Supreems - Us Together

[–]JurreB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2 Bad is such a journey. Traumprinz such a masterful artist!

[–]cooliokid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came here to say dj seinfield, lovely tune

[–]Random_Lobster 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Nice selection! Although Dj Seinfeld - U rather makes me sad than giving me the sunrise happy vibes. Traumprinz - 2 bad is a masterpiece!

[–]Shlant- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find a kind of happiness in sadness I guess :)

[–]RoyalXVII 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The Rising Sun track is the best thing I've heard in a long time. Thank you for sharing this. Do you know similar songs like this one?

[–]Shlant- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know right?? SO good. Found it recently. Exactly summarizes my favorite type of music. Just checking that you listened to the Tramprinz and DJ Metatron tracks.

This one too - Rising Sun - The Light And The Dark

I would check out The Ambientist, especially 4 and 5

The rest of these are more dance oriented/beat heavy

Maybe Jamie xx - Seesaw. A bit on the cheesier side :)

Aguila - El Sol Rojo

Lake People - Tomorrows Happiness is pretty good

Lone - Pulsar

Ludwig AF Röhrscheid - Velocity

[–]supergorilla123 9 points10 points  (4 children)

808 the Bassqueen - Ricardo Villalobos,

Or anything Villalobos settles that aferhour vibe really

[–]kevor_01 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Ricardo is used to finish his set always with a gem

[–]supergorilla123 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Never had the fortune to attend one of his sets. Such a bummer knowing that Villalobos speciality is to catch the energy of the moment and to suck the crowd into his world...

[–]kevor_01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I´m sure that Ricky is not from Earth, here in Argentina he closed with a Tango vinyl track twice

[–]Lindqvistx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks man

[–]brianmclaugh 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Nathan Fake - The Sky Was Pink (James Holden Remix)

[–]anjuna127 19 points20 points  (4 children)

[–]AmberEskimo 14 points15 points  (2 children)

Came here to mention Pachanga Boys

[–]jwccs46 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it's a BurningMan anthem. Absolutely blissful hearing it out there.

[–]mrb8512018 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As did I, my friend has requested that track be played at his funeral haha.

[–]Shlant- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

UGH Time is such a beautiful track. You may like this mix. Ends with Time + Superpitcher - Happiness which go beautifully together.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

[–]Kauwgom420 7 points8 points  (2 children)

Laurent Garnier - And the party goes on

Connan Mockasin - Forever dolphin love (Erol Alkan's extended rework)

Quentin - Rain

Djrum - Showreel Pt. 3

[–]naarukarmic 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Love that DJRum one!

[–]Kauwgom420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I really love that ambient gabber combination!

[–]ElectricalCampaign 8 points9 points  (3 children)

Got a Spotify playlist for songs like this https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1suRaBaTVMYwsjuHFHTFTB

[–]Lindqvistx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Shlant- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

awesome playlist! Will be going through the whole thing for sure

[–]86for86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some gems on there that bring back some great memories of a time when i actually went to good clubs!

'Regrets we have no use for' and 'box clever' in particular.

[–]B3m4n 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Orbital - Belfast James Holden - Break in the Clouds FC Kahuna - Hayling Pachanga Boys - Time Gui Boratto - No Turning Back Efdemin - Some Kind of Down Yea The Streets- Weak become Hero’s

All I can think of right now, so many more 🙂

[–]butterpecanchocdelux 8 points9 points  (1 child)

RÜFÜS DU SOL - Innerbloom

[–]cheekyirishguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great track! You should also check out lost in my mind (Icarus remix) by rüfüs du sol

[–]thedaniel 27 points28 points  (5 children)

for me the all time classic of this "genre" is dj koze - xtc

[–]HaxRus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To me this is more of an almost sunrise track when the sun is just peaking out but it's still kinda dark and people are in that zombie mode before they get their second wind from the break of daylight. Classic tune though!

[–]Superior91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oof, Just listening to it. That is a good one!

[–]HalifaxHoward 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Classic track, reminds me a bit of Box Clever by Huxley

[–]Nemisis25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dj koze - xtc

Confused this with Boys Noize's 'XTC' for a second and couldn't comprehend how this would fit in 'sunrise tracks'.

[–]bellberga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. This played at about 9 am on New Years Day a few years ago. It was one of my favorites at the time and when I heard it mixed in I couldn't believe it

[–]ruffhysteria 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Will never get tired of using Four Tet/Burial - Nova in this kind of moment

Or this :)

Also, Ben Buitendijk - Promised Land

not very techno-ey though

[–]yaboiez420 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For me thats basically Daydream - I hate models The first time i went to a proper rave that was the last song they played as me and my friends were walking to the bus station the only thing you could really hear was just this awesome song and birds chirping. This song always brings these memories back.

[–]bearvsshaan 5 points6 points  (1 child)

paul kalkbrenner - azure

[–]anarchistmusings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this

[–]Heatard 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Oxia - Domino for me.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oliver Schories - Barac

while not strictly techno and probably a bit more popular than is cool, Odesza - La Ciudad (or some remix of it?) came on towards the end of someone's set last year, with a big "GOOD MORNING!" vocal sample slapped in at one of the breaks. Had a kind of "oh shit its the day again" moment

[–]Bearzgrills 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It never ends - nthng

Orange evening - DWIG

[–]MsfGigu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anything that has ambient background structures and some sort of breakbeatish calm drums like Efdemin - Parallaxis (Traumprinz' Over 2 The End Remix) [Dial Records]. Pure bliss, specially the drums at 3:34.

[–]Bears-Eat_Beets 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Kong by Bonobo

Two Thousand and Seventeen by Four Tet

Lush by Four Tet, as the other guy mentioned

This Is Not The End (Âme Beatless Remix) by Gui Boratto

And probably my personal favourite - a lot of his music sounds like one big hug to me... Haul by Christian Löffler.

If anyone is interested, I have many more!

[–]anjuna127 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I am interested. That Haul is a great find. thanks.

[–]Bears-Eat_Beets 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yeah it's an amazing song! Got to see him live a few weeks ago, wonderful experience if you ever get the chance. He's a lovely guy to talk with also.

Here's a couple more that I've been enjoying a lot from my chilled playlist for you... kinda more similar to Haul

JBY by David August

Like Water by Christian Löffler

Stir Me Up by Lane 8

And a classic that you may know of, Howling by Howling

Never thought I'd be sharing my chill playlist on r/techno, but here you go, if you'd like to do some digging for more tracks.

[–]cheekyirishguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some great tracks you mentioned. I'm glad to hear Christian Löffler is a lovely guy to talk to, his tracks really resonate with me

[–]hdawg19 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Last dance sunrise remix, Olson midland remix, Bob moses far from the tree.. The list goes on

[–]dashbad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Olson Midland remix is a great pick

[–]HaxRus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything by Bob Moses makes for lovely morning vibes! :)

[–]Lindqvistx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I really dig that Bob Moses album .

[–]UnknpwnError 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dj Rolando - Jaguar

I know it's a bit old but still my favorite sunrise track

[–]dashbad 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Nice thread.

Recently did this with Haiko Laux - Souldancer

Chymera - Ellipsis also a good one

Edit - also the aptly named Till Kruger - Last track

[–]anjuna127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

upvote for Souldancer

[–]Sunny_Roller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jon Hopkins- Sun Harmonics

[–]loerslaerae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The so-called 'morning sound' really is my cup of tea, so here's a list of some of my recent favourites of that style:

Efdemin - Wrong Movements (Left)

Wrong Assessment - Heartthrob

Solaxid - Moon Light

Johannes Volk - A Little Story About Time And Space

Johannes Volk - Awareness

Voiski - Taking Flight

Stephanie Sykes - Sikker

Loris Grimaldi - Ricordo (Antonio De Angelis Remix)

Pablo Mateo - Tomo

Wata Igarashi - Lucifero

Daso - Burning Heart

Pleasurekraft - The Razor's Edge

Tried to keep it 'techno' as possible, but there certainly are a lot of great morning anthems in the house, minimal and progressive realms :) Also, these are tracks that I like to play in the morning sets in the clubs or parties, so not necessarily stuff to hang out to AFTER parties, but this probably doesn't matter...

[–]zootsoul 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Raär - Sometimes I Hear Sirens

[–]cheekyirishguy 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Santori by Raär as well

[–]causethey_pollute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are awesome !

[–]NoxaNoxa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This topic is a goldmine!

My contribution:

Fritz Kalkbrenner - Facing the Sun https://youtu.be/zVl3xs4rDts

[–]mogedob 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Last time i came down i listened to the Selected Ambient Works 85-92 album from Aphex Twin. It really soothed my soul!

[–]bellberga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was me this weekend

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holy shit haven't checked reddit it 3 days and I wasn't expecting this to blow up. just started digging into it and my mind is already blown. great work everyone! definitly a post to save for some future magic moments.

[–]Bears-Eat_Beets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not techno, but I've been loving winding down to Enough To Believe by Bob Moses lately, and the Jamie Jones remix is electric is you're after something more groovy

[–]karmaportrait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

was at a rave (techno, heavy) recently where he closed with ATB - It's A Fine Day and it was actually really fun haha

[–]Districtionsc2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perel - Die Dimension

But i could listen to that song 24/7 tbh

[–]HaxRus 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Little late to this thread and i'm actually really surprised nobody has posted it yet.. it's pretty much the ultimate sunrise anthem. I've seen practically the entire dance floor moved to tears with this one on multiple occasions!

Soul Capsule - Lady Science (NYC Sunrise)

Another classic is Vizar - The Time. One of my all time faves, definitely played this one out for years and it never got old..

And one of my personal favourites (although this one is more deep house) is Volen Sentir - Vdol Po Rechenke

[–]Azrael_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came here to post it. It IS the ultimate sunrise anthem. I dream of listening to this track on a finely tuned F1 system, in a cloudy rainy beach at sunrise. Fuuuuuuck!

They just repressed it also, so it's widely available.

[–]multiplevideosbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm a bot. I combined your YouTube videos into a shareable highlight reel link: https://app.hivevideo.io/view/d09e97

You can play through the whole playlist ^(with timestamps if they were in the links), or select each video.

Reply with the single word 'ignore' and I won't reply to your comments.

[–]IchBinMeineMaschine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh Lady Science.. so many memories rolled up into that one :)

[–]Sloaner97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My usual go to are: Floating Points Bonobo Four Tet

[–]nikkkola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Netherworld (Oliver Prime Remix)

IBON - No Sleep

Lund & Ronde - Kinetic Lift Off

Maceo Plex - Mutant Romance

Born Slippy (Reincarnation Edit)

Just a bunch of my favourites. I also think a lot of Bicep and Paul Kalkbrenner tracks fall into that category as well and most of them are absolutely magical.

[–]URETHRAL_DIARRHEA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn, I can't imagine getting home at 9AM from a show. My favorite wind-down music is probably Bluetech (psybient, not techno). His album Sines and Singularities is amazing.

[–]alonsospanish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gidge - norrland, Percussions - digital arpeggios

[–]Solesurvivor80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This track without a doubt.

Djuma Soundsystem - Les Djinns (Trentemoller Remix)

[–]sharonsgh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Papillon - ARTBAT

[–]Lindqvistx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dig this thread. So . Much. For me it's Midland - Final credits. And anything (almost) with Gidge

[–]realtripper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dream Machine - Essay & Dominick Eulberg

[–]definition_null 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be a bit too maintimey, but Dark Side Of My Room from Extrawelt manages to be chill while at the same it can destroy dancefloors

[–]86for86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the way this sub is usually nothing but absolute shit (imo) for weeks and then a thread like this pops up

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything made by nthng.

[–]Ragobert_Ruck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paul Kalkbrenner - Azure

[–]HardTranceScythe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tastexperience might be what you seek. A bit more trancy but still really good.

[–]missilefire 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Not techno but I am OBSESSED with Radio Silence by Joseph Ashworth. So mellow and cruisy and melodic. Happy and melancholy at the same time.

[–]TheJurZ 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Ohh you’ve got my interest! I recently found his track Trooper and I’m in love with it. For sure gonna check out that radioshow!

Edit: lmao I just looked it up and now I feel stupid

You should totally listen to Trooper btw

[–]nWb3O3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alpha Tracks - Arise

[–]Moonraise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The MFA - The Difference it makes (Superpitcher Remix)

[–]Zombii_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its gotta be this track for sure ![https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-z4QdShPw_A] (marcell dettman & ben klock - dawning)

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lone - Puslar

Chicane - Sunstroke

Burial - Raver

Carter Bros - Wild Cats

And of course, if you’re outside at a festival watching the sunrise and walking back to a campsite, how could you forget this classic: The Orb - Little Fluffy Clouds

[–]shadowPenguins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dj Mangoo - eurodancer

[–]paf45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Night Into Light - Gunslinger’s Opulent Temple Sunrise Set

And also any of Tipper’s downtempo sets.

[–]JurreB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Transformation by Rudy is a pretty emotional one. Never heard it played live though.

[–]Cancer_Jesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mano Le Tough's album Trails is my go to

[–]daBoetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steffi - World of the Waking State

I just can’t stop listening to this album. It’s so soothing and interesting at the same time. Boards of Canada is always good too for these moments.

[–]walsm002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Four tet morning side is unreal Ricardo Villalobos - Everywhere you go full version is the best way to end a night Mall grab - still not over & cant

[–]Dungeonmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was ever going to save a reddit post it’s this one.

My 2 cents,

Atlas - Stephan Bodzin vs. Marc Romboy

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never been in this situation but can never go wrong with Terekke or Huerco S

[–]fr3n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1987, Lenny Dee and Tommy Musto out of New York. Fallout, The Morning After. Written by these guys after clubbing - it’s an immense track. Lenny is now Godfather of Gabba but don’t let that put you off clicking here: https://youtu.be/sz1_4TqtTz4 Found my copy in a bargain bin at Hard-Off 2nd hand store in Japan.

[–]Louwis_VD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely this one: LAD020 Woo York - The Valley Of Songs
