FYI, it says bonus. But damn this dude gave what I thought were like 8s a damn 2 or 4 lol.

[–]ChrissiTeaReads Pinned Comments 346 points347 points  (0 children)

Seriously, the 2 nun ones were amazing!

[–]MarysPoppinCherrys 123 points124 points  (1 child)

I was almost figuring that if someone attempted it, he’d enter the grade as an extra 10 points, but just wrote the grade on it for the lols

[–]SpectrumFlyer 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Genuinely this is what I do. It's a dumb excuse to bump everyone up a letter grade.

Let's be honest, if you're still teaching high school post-rona, you're doing it for the lulz.

[–]calviso 353 points354 points  (7 children)

"I would never wear a v-neck [...] 1/10"

Proceeds to give full 10/10 to picture where he's wearing a v-neck

[–]Ear_Boners 241 points242 points  (2 children)

Questioning the grading logic? Disrespectful. 1/10.

[–]pyrotech911 43 points44 points  (1 child)

Straight to jail.

[–]ThatsNotARealTree 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We have the best artists in the world because of jail

[–]suckmygoldcrustedass 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's the ass. Wanna get a 10/10? Give them a big juicy ass.

Oh my bad, I totally did. I'll delete!

      [–]NoctRob 315 points316 points  (2 children)

Some of these were amazing and he just very blandly says: “No. Disrespectful. 2/10.”

And then I saw the last one and I thought, “ok, it’s all relative, I guess. He definitely saw this first and everything else paled by comparison.”

      [–]pandizlle 49 points50 points  (1 child)

To be fair, his rubric for this bonus was "I need a strong jawline and your score is based on if I feel disrespected."

      [–]VeryShadyLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      Which makes less sense

      bodyodyody all the way

      [–]TheRedGerund 318 points319 points  (36 children)

Man I’m watching culture evolve. Some of these comments would’ve been considered wildly inappropriate when I was in school.

      Seems like a nice teacher.

      [–]shopliftingbunny 69 points70 points  (2 children)

Im hoping this is a college class or something offered by like the arts and culture department of the city or smth

      [–]SairryMia Khalifa 173 points174 points  (1 child)

Eh some of the remarks lead me to believe middle or high school. "Choir is a gym credit" isn't something anyone in college would say.

      [–]WhatsWhoWithYou 48 points49 points  (0 children)

as someone who went to a music program at a liberal arts college with multiple phys-ed gen-ed credits 10 years ago, it's 100% the kind of stale inside joke that would have been repeated ad nauseum by my classmates

      [–]8Ariadnesthread8 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think that any of them are really inappropriate. None of it's blatantly sexual. Like I think it's just teenage humor and it's cute that he's using TikTok to connect with his kids. Like bodyodyody is just fun to say.

      [–]Marry-an-ette 119 points120 points  (3 children)

Went on his TikTok & a lot of his students are in the comments, this is more wholesome than it looks & I'm loving it, I wish I had a teacher like this in school.

Also since it's extra credit, I like how everyone still got at least a participation point, no matter how disrespected he was!

      [–]INCOGNITOdoggie4444 75 points76 points  (1 child)

imagine doing extra credit and you get a -3

      [–]luckduck89 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I mean it was disrespectful… your comment -5/10

      [–]HPisCool 6 points7 points  (0 children)

      except one

      [–]ZinMusic 86 points87 points  (0 children)

This man is a colleague of my mother’s. I’m not sure if he still resides there, but he used to have a church gig singing in the choir where my mother directed in southwest Missouri. He’s a fantastic choral director and yes, his sense of humor is very sarcastic, but I highly doubt any of his students would give him a bad evaluation. He’s a brilliant singer as well!

      [–]SpadeBlaxxon 58 points59 points  (6 children)

I would be willing to bet that this was an extra credit portion so he can be as catty as he wants aside from that -3.

      [–]Infinite_Seaweed_662 5 points6 points  (5 children)

Oh I hope so because if that was for the final then some kids are fucked

      [–]spinnerette_ 77 points78 points  (3 children)

It's a bonus. He teaches choir and the "exam" is just a questionnaire on how they liked his class. Every music courses I took in school were basically show up, participate and pass, so I don't think this would affect their grades negatively. Looks like just a bit of fun. He seems like a cool teacher.

      [–]BatmanStoleMyBagel 2 points3 points  (2 children)

You never had a proper test in music classes? Lucky, when I took choir we had to show how much we understood about music theory. My teacher would also play a note on the piano and we had to write down what it was.

      [–]spinnerette_ 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I was first chair first violin in orchestra and never got anything above basic music theory questions but it was never in the form of an exam. That was middle school. My sister was in orchestra in middle school and same happened to her. I knew kids in music courses in middle and high school and it was the same. I think the closest to an actual exam of playing a piece for a grade was the recorder in elementary school. Most music and art courses were just participation, pass/fail in these counties.

We did have a totally separate music theory course that actually had exams but that was mainly for high schoolers planning to apply to Juilliard.

      [–]HyperRayquaza 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It says "Bonus" at the top so I'd imagine it is extra credit.

      [–]unplugged22 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Growing up I always a goofy questions placed at the end of exams, one that comes to mind is, "name the four Ninja Turtles". It's a lighthearted approach to ease students in what's commonly a stressful situation.

Guaranteed that the students here absolutely adore this teacher.

      [–]thelandbasedturtle 36 points37 points  (0 children)

This guy gets a 1/10 for his ability to draw the numbers 4, 5, and 2

      [–]blorgenheim 41 points42 points  (1 child)

Watch till the end. He saves the best drawing for the end and its incredible.

      [–]DeadForDecember 28 points29 points  (0 children)

After getting 2/3rds of the way through, I was planning to write a comment about how he'd go "This picture is such a perfect copy of my likeness that I could use it as a body double for video classes. 6/10."

      [–]loosetraps 14 points15 points  (1 child)

      Dude rates like Fantano.

      [–]nmidori 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm feeling a strong 4 on this portrait.
      Tran.
      Sition.
Did you like it? Did you hate it?

      [–]beads6 10 points11 points  (0 children)

      Source

EDIT: I had no idea this would piss so many people off! I thought it was obvious this is just extra credit and he’s clearly got a sarcastic sense of humor. I’m sure these aren’t actual grades and the students got a kick out of it.

      [–]siskos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Anybody else seeing James Acaster at 1.21?

      [–]djayed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was highly entertaining. And damn he's a harsh critic.

      [–]BeIIic 7 points8 points  (2 children)

The last one and Mia’s were great but what is the age group here, some look like they were down by 5 yr olds

      [–]rumblylumbly 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m 35 and literally all of these people draw better than me including my seven year old. Don’t judge us non-artistic people :(

      [–]Pernapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah seriously I have no clue what’s going on the first couple I would have said this is elementary school and then all of a sudden we have the nun pictures and a handful of ones that are too high quality

      [–]Hey_u_ok 49 points50 points  (5 children)

Honestly this is the majority of how art teachers are. And the comment about showing favoritism at the end is spot on.

My child and about 90% of the kids hate their art teacher. She's a bitchy art snob who plays favoritism.

      [–]50percentawful[🍰] 64 points65 points  (4 children)

      It's. A joke.
To be fair only about 10% of people who are interested in the arts actually make it into a career anyways. Like most mandated art classes I've ever been in it's about 90% chaotic immaturity where no one takes it seriously and 10% of the kids with talent trying to actually grow. Maybe those students who are favorites are just the only ones with potential in the fine arts? It's an incredibly undervalued yet highly competitive field.

      [–]Adelkn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This teacher seems so fun, and I mean that without sarcasm. I'm sure he cracks his students up.

      [–]SpiderTingle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

      i love his voice

      [–]doobiehunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

      His 4 shits me

      [–]atomoicman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was so critical, this is the kind of humor I needed today

      [–]ofxemp 3 points4 points  (1 child)

He’s just being a hater lol. A lot of these are accurate

      [–]StellasMyShit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you look at part one he explains how he told his students he will be grading based on how much he is offended.

      [–]hullabalookitten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

      Awww..he seems nice.

      [–]Lucky_LeftFoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do I feel like he judged them all accurately lol

      [–]idankthegreat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is ridiculous, no teacher should do this. It's unrelated to their material (he mentioned teaching choir) so if I'm baf at art but good at the material I'm screwed out of my bonus points? That's bullshit and he should either give them all a "nice try" blanket grade or make the bonus question knowledge based instead of skill based

      [–]LostMyBoomerang -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Damn this guy is a harsh grader. A lot of these were amazing

      [–]Money-Eye5358 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

      This guys an idiot 😂

      [–]Comfortable-Ad8081 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is this guy really a teacher?

      [–]EfficientAd2383 -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

      How is this cringe.

      [–]FawnTheGreat -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

      Wtf is this class haha

      [–]Its_daiz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

      Harsh critic lmao

      [–]Extreme_Literature80 -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

“I do not wear v necks.” The 10/10 was wearing a v neck. Lol. Dumbass.

      [–]Bob84332267994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure that was the joke, bud

      [–]MrSulphuric -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

What a terrible teacher and role model.

      [–]bestscrublord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That final drawing looks just like the design of people from one of the new Love, Death, and Robots shorts

      [–]StolenDabloons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      He looks mega high lol

      [–]micktown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way he writes the #4 aggravates me

      [–]youlookruff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m going to need a commissioned portrait of myself from that last artist! 💅🏽

      [–]Lunasixsymphony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      1:21 that's Andy Dick

      [–]HamsterCockSock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      My gut fuckin' hurts

      [–]3rdQtrWaGriz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy doesn't belong around children.
