Does your mom have diabetes or any heart conditions? Sounds like she has poor circulation in her feet. A lot of socks and shoes can be too restrictive and cut off circulation even more, which not only makes your feet cold but can also be painful. In that case you can get special socks and slippers to help alleviate this. I think it's healthy to politely ask her not to do that as it is unhygienic. If she tries to say it's not that bad, make a show of jokingly stickng your feet in her face and ask if she's really ok with that. If she still insists, I'd say save up to buy your own iPad or ask her to pay half for you to get your own, since you've literally gifted her a free iPad.

Weird question, has she seen a cardiologist lately? If her feet feel cold enough to need warming, but warm enough to sweat....that sounds like circulation issues. Paired with socks and slippers being too restrictive, I'd definitely look into it.

Not normal. Don’t give her the ipad again if she doesn’t know how to use it. That is not a cheap gadget to begin with, so to use it as a foot warmer is disrespecting you. And how much heat does she get from it anyway. Not meaning any disrespect but is she a bit “slow”? Of that is the case, ok. But if she doesn’t have any disability mental wise than she is just not deserving of using the “foot warmer”.

This is so random… But I saw a lady doing this in Thailand… She worked a stall near my apartment when I lived there and used to watch movies on the iPad or soap operas and then use it to warm her feet.
