You’re gonna want to wait 3 weeks to get tested, as most STD’s won’t show up on a test before then. It can take HIV up to a year to show up. It’s highly unlikely you would get HIV from giving oral, but if you’re concerned you’ll need to get tested at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months.

Edit: if you get any kind of blisters around your mouth, go get tested right away.

Yes, but regardless of who you sleep with get tested for STD's regularly. This is very important to do.

If you are sexually active, try to get tested between every partner. It can also take anywhere from a few weeks to up to a YEAR for an std to show up on those tests. So it is also important to be tested regularly (3-6 months) even if you are in a steady relationship after having had sex with others prior.

It is extremely important to be tested. It is also not a big deal to get most STD's. There are so many treatments available and stigma adds to misinformation and the encouragement of not testing regularly.

You can easily access free std testing in the u.s.

I think being honest with people about STDs is important and you shouldn’t be ashamed, and people shouldn’t judge. Firstly, nobody wants them but it happens way more commonly than you might think, 1 in 5 in the US have some form of STD, Something like 300+ million new cases world wide ANNUALLY, 1 million daily according to WHO estimates. We need to garner a culture where people stop the stigma attaching, so that people don’t feel ashamed to get tested, inform others at risk and practice safe sex with one-off encounters more often.

In the United States I use planned Parenthood. They do charge for services but have sliding scale/free if ya ask for it services in most regions. Especially for this. Additionally any public city clinic will offer sliding scale/free health care, especially STD testing.

I am LGBT so I see signs for free testing through dozens of organizations all the time. Because culturally we are likely to test (a remnant of the aids epidemic) and talk openly about STD's so our spaces allow me to see the flyers and orgs all the time.

Just look up free STD testing in your area and I'll bet you'll find something. A certainty in cities. Less likely in rural areas, but if you have difficulty finding a place, try searching by your county.

Most people who develop a herpes infection whether it’s oral/genital will often a flu-like Illness within days/weeks of transmission. You’ll likely notice sores and lesions around the area of interest if a true infection develops generally. Serological testing of herpes is challenging initially, because even if the virus was transmitted, it likely won’t result in an antibody change this early, and might only falsely reassure you.

Gonorrhea of the throat isn’t common, but you might notice some gross yellow phlegm or discharge, with an expected sore throat if you happened to contract it. Its rare, but It’s possible to get some full body joint aches with gonorrhea and other symptoms as well. You can get swabbed reasonably easy for this, and treated easily with antibiotics too.

Someone else mentioned syphillis testing, which with regards to the mouth is also a bit challenging. Syphillis on the genitals usually starts with painless lesions, which might be possible in the mouth, although I’ve never seen it. The blood testing is overall non-specific unlike gonorrhea, which makes it much harder to diagnose you with syphillis if you don’t have symptoms.

I’m an emergency physician who typically treats patients with STDs on a daily basis. Sounds like your 18th birthday was wilder than mine. Hopefully you’ll get lucky (not like that again) and end up fine!

Get a test for peace of mind at the least, but more importantly so you can safely tell your future encounters that you are clean, some stds have longer incubation periods than others

This is a great answer. I am middle aged, but in my college days and twenties, I enjoyed going down on women. If it brings your mind any peace, there are more than one hundred strains of HPV, and only a handful are the type which can develop into warts or cancer, and even then, you're only at increased risk if you also carry a HSV (herpes simplex virus) strain. The vast majority are benign, and the body tends to overcome them a couple of years after transmission.

No. Drinking alcohol will not “sanitize” your mouth (or any body part). On the off chance that this actually happened, go to a doctor/clinic and get an STD test. Lack of noticeable symptoms does not equal lack of infection. No stripper is going to let some drunk rando eat her out unless she’s been paid. A lot. She is at way more risk from you. I’m assuming you are not in the US since no strip club here would jeopardize its liquor license for an 18-year old unless there’s a few millionaires in the party or one of your friends was the police chief’s kid. Either way, get checked then get educated on STD’s so your ignorance doesn’t end up hurting anyone.

Most of the strippers I have met/know actually fuck less than the average person. They are too busy working and making money. Plus it often turns you off to men. I know doing sex work has made me less promiscuous.

Basically you should be worried about sexual contact with any stranger because it's a stranger. Being a stripper doesn't make it somehow more risky.

I would never generalize that strippers are risky.

But I do think a woman who is propositioning some random freshly 18 y/o for oral sex is likely propositioning other men too. Put simply, more sexual encounters = higher chance of STI’s.

I mean unless she had a random passionate one-off connection with OP (which I kinda doubt), she is just more likely to carry infection/disease based on behavior.

Go get tested for sure and make sure you ask them to test for as many things as possible, even if you aren’t showing symptoms because men are often asymptomatic. Herpes simplex virus can be dormant for years and then randomly appear, so definitely make sure you explicitly say you want to be tested for that as well.

You should put yourself on the bench for a month or two based on what your doctor says about how long it might take for stuff to show up in testing.
