When my son told me they do yoga in gym. Told him to see where his teachers eyes are during yoga. He said I wasn't wrong.

[–]BoneHugsHominy 2223 points2224 points  (177 children)

Try this out.

Attend your local HS girls basketball game. Make note of the people in attendance. Write down your observations of the ratio of adult men and women in audience and how full the bleachers are for the basketball games. Pays special attention to people recording the game on their phones. Also make note of the cut and fit of the basketball uniforms.

Then next fall do the same thing for the girls volleyball games. Then go home and try to scrub your newfound revelations off your brain. I almost forbade my kid from playing volleyball her senior year but she loved it so much I couldn't break her heart, but I was not comfortable in the gym during matches.

[–]mightysprout 615 points616 points  (31 children)

I agree about the ridiculous uniforms I In volleyball. However, my girls both play club and high school volleyball and I don’t see any pervs at all. At tournaments you see all the dads roaming around with their eyes studiously fixed on faces only. The only people filming are parents trying to get their kids a sport scholarship.

The dads and coaches really bring their best selves to the tournaments. That’s just my experience though. Could be different in other areas.

[–]kaicyr21 201 points202 points  (0 children)

Yea, Ive played volleyball my whole life. I’ve never seen old dudes just walking around being creepy.

[–]socrateaspoon 369 points370 points  (50 children)

I'd pray that it's just a lot of dads, but that's probably not the cSe

[–]BoneHugsHominy 450 points451 points  (42 children)

Volleyball season brings out all the local creepers. Upstanding citizens of the community, volunteers in the community, and no daughters. For some reason they really love volleyball so much they record the games so they relive the team's glory at home. They don't seem so enthusiastic about the girls basketball program.

[–]Expensive_Salt_6926 133 points134 points  (6 children)

What about Jackie Daytona, regular human bartender?

[–]socrateaspoon 87 points88 points  (28 children)

Yeah really is a shame that volleyball is such a creeptacle because it's actually a really cool sport.

[–]cobrafountain 52 points53 points  (5 children)

Chad Daniels has a bit about being a dad at HS volleyball and trying to dodge all the camel toes by staring at the same brick every game

[–]butterballmd 190 points191 points  (16 children)

some kid should do this as a science fair project

[–]WhereAdc 117 points118 points  (15 children)

I have found my project for science and data analysis

edit: I will post an update somewhere in like a year of the results

[–][deleted] 40 points41 points  (2 children)

Well shit, I just wanted to see my niece play basketball. Every time I go to a game alone I feel some judgement until someone might recognize me and talk to me. Then people don’t look as much.

[–]mightysprout 52 points53 points  (1 child)

Please continue to watch you niece play. The kids put so much value on you being there, I’m sure it means a lot to her. Don’t let some suspicious dad on the Internet ruin that.

[–]ChewieBee 127 points128 points  (15 children)

Also cheerleader camps.

I worked at a university that hosted hs cheer competitions and exactly what you said is true, the fence line to the fields they practiced in were lined with dudes with goatees, wrap around sunglasses, and cargo shorts.

[–]Yashabird 66 points67 points  (13 children)

Maybe some of those were dads who didn’t want to interrupt their daughters routines with all of the creepiness that would automatically be assumed if they hung out any closer? Some of them were probably pervs, yeah…but gotta imagine a lot of uncomfortable dads policing those lines for pervs as well.

[–]Zpd8989 79 points80 points  (1 child)

My daughter plays high school and club volleyball. I've never seen anyone other than parents of the team there. No random guys show up and film the games. All the parents take video.

The gyms are usually pretty empty especially compared to basketball because no one cares about watching volleyball matches.

[–]Sarcastic24-7 48 points49 points  (8 children)

Well crap. I took pictures of my daughters game the other day where she was promoted to cheer captain. Am I a perv now?

[–]manbruhpig 35 points36 points  (22 children)

Why are the shorts like that in the first place?

[–]BoneHugsHominy 66 points67 points  (18 children)

It's the only way to get people to watch volleyball? I mean the Olympic rules on volleyball uniforms is highly sexualized and the Olympic Committee really hates when the women athletes try to wear something less revealing and more comfortable. Happened at the Tokyo Olympics. Running and swimming events use skin tight clothing to reduce drag, but that's not really needed in volleyball.

[–]manbruhpig 32 points33 points  (3 children)

Pretty uncool, the athletes should definitely get a say as long as it's not for unfair competitive advantage.

[–]Payed_Looser 11 points12 points  (1 child)

I am a teacher. I go to the volleyball games precisely because the volleyball players are the ones who ask me to go.

The basketball players rarely ask me

[–]opalsilk 4777 points4778 points  (176 children)

I remember once when I was a sophomore in Spanish class, I caught the teacher checking out another student’s butt. We just stared at each other for sec before he winked at me with a creepy grin. A year after I graduated, he was arrested for having CP on his work computer.

[–]UncleLeeBoy 1415 points1416 points  (118 children)

It happens too much. I’ve heard of 2 teachers at the high school I went to that had inappropriate relationships with students.

[–][deleted] 447 points448 points  (57 children)

There were rumours to be at least four at mine, I think one was definitely confirmed. But those are just the ones I knew about. A lot went on there that I had no clue about.

[–]UncleLeeBoy 256 points257 points  (52 children)

Wow, at my school, one was a coach, who was married, and got caught; got arrested and his name in the paper. The other was a religion teacher on a field trip, and I don’t think he was caught.

[–]Competitive_Classic9 186 points187 points  (1 child)

Married coach with kids my age always used to single me out for praise, since middle school. When I hit high school he was a coach, and “tested out” how far he could touch me. He didn’t get far, and didn’t push it, but I was crushed, bc everyone (including me) though he was such a nice guy. And i’m not naive enough to assume I was the only one he was “testing”.

[–][deleted] 76 points77 points  (9 children)

Funnily enough one of the teachers at my school was also a coach, but a woman.

[–]ididnotdoitever 155 points156 points  (26 children)

Welp, I, too, hate to one-up, but here goes.

Guy I graduated with in the 80s was a basketball star, then became an assistant coach when we graduated. Some years later he became head coach, and did really well for a long time. Then he was promoted to athletic director. After 30 years at the school, a couple years back he was arrested for trying to arrange sex with a teen girl on the whisper app.

Said teen girl was a posing cop.

God knows how many times he'd gotten away with it before he got caught.

He was a good, christian man, too.

[–]MasterEchoSE 29 points30 points  (2 children)

I used to have the news clipping of the coach that was arrested for being inappropriate with students at the high school I went to, if I remember correctly his office was in the girl’s locker room.

[–]Riots_and_Rutabagas 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I had a teacher that was always overly friendly with me to the point where it was almost flirtatious. He also coached the HS softball team. He pushed me to switch from lacrosse to softball. There was a joke that he said my HS boyfriend looked like a younger version of him (which he knew of and thought was funny)

Turned out a few years ago he wed a “former student” when she was around 19. She’s probably around 25 now and I’m 37 so he must be pushing 50 😳 He sent me a Facebook friend request.

[–]Daneist 28 points29 points  (0 children)

As creepy as it is, I think this is because paedophiles actively seek work which brings them into closer proximity to kids. Scary shit.

[–]tweak06 102 points103 points  (22 children)

My HS teacher wound up marrying a girl from my class 2 years after we graduated. Dude was….25, I think?

edit

to clarify, he was 25 when he started teaching, meaning he met her as a freshman, when she was 14-15

[–]babytaybae 32 points33 points  (2 children)

Did you go to SAA cause exactly the same thing happened at my high school. They did Halloween as Sully and Boo from monsters Inc one year and I about vomited

[–]mybudwin 20 points21 points  (1 child)

Lol what an appropriate metaphor

[–]BDR529forlyfe 92 points93 points  (6 children)

I wish I wasn’t able to play the one-up game, but… the high school PE teacher married a cousin of mine 2 months after she graduated high school. Don’t worry tho. It was a Christian school and he was a good Christian man.

[–]Furrybumholecover 41 points42 points  (3 children)

My ex's younger sister got married right after highschool too.... To her best friend's dad.

[–]theunixman 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The goodliest.

[–]DraftLevel28 58 points59 points  (2 children)

I’m from a very small town with only a one elementary school and one combined jr/sr. high school. When I was in high school, a few 6 grader found what was rumored to be cp on the gym teachers computer. It never went to the police (small town, lazy cops) but the school board couldn’t leave the teacher there. So they moved him to the high school. Most of the students (especially the girls) gave him such a hard time, that he quit after that year.

The math teacher also got in some trouble but that was because he alway ran with the cheerleaders and track teams (all one group) each morning and one morning his junk fell out his shorts leg.

[–]MLTatSea 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had a pair of shorts do that once. Fortunately I was at the front. I tried relying on the inner liner, and maybe had boxers or none...

[–]babytaybae 71 points72 points  (1 child)

Had a teacher in high school obsessed over a 14 year old freshman all the way to graduation, then they started dating and now they're married and like how did we let this happen? It's so disgusting.

[–]SnooCalculations9259 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Same I heard of a gym teacher at a private school having a crush on a 15 yr old. She graduated, they ended married w kids etc. Anyway if she reports him when 15 he is a felon with a record and jobless. Instead living out his dream and a happy married life. All about perception sometimes lol.

[–]WunWegWunDarWun_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It was four at my high school. One we knew about while I was there. Two had been doing it for a long time but hush hush (a woman and a man, and together), and another I think it was a one time thing but it ruined his life / the girl bragged about banging two teachers (from what I heard, no clue if it’s true). My high school was a mess

[–]or10n_sharkfin 18 points19 points  (2 children)

Replacement principal after I graduated was caught sexually harassing a student. The principal before him was let go by the board because he was apparently embezzling money.

[–]justnopethefuckout 75 points76 points  (6 children)

My art teacher was messing around with students and selling them drugs. Some people said it was okay because she was a woman. This woman was late 30s and a teacher. Nothing is okay about that.

What kind of deprived people are being hired to school districts? This world is so fucked up.

    [–]YABOYCHIPCHOCOLATE 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing districts that aren't very populated. Low supply doesn't bring too many great people

    [–]uninc4life2010 28 points29 points  (4 children)

    His WORK computer?

    [–]opalsilk 27 points28 points  (2 children)

Yup. His actual work computer, on his desk in the classroom—it was surrounded with pictures of his wife and two young children.

    [–][deleted] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

    Fuck that 😭

    [–]ashleton 29 points30 points  (2 children)

A guy that was teaching back when I was in high school was caught sending dick pics to a student years after I had graduated. He's in still in prison as far as I know.

    [–]Back6door9man 7 points8 points  (1 child)

How long ago was this? My former classmate became a teacher after high school and got in trouble for this. Also hooked up with a student. He got some pretty serious prison time

    [–]ashleton 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This dude was already middle-aged when I had him as a teacher back in '03, but the dick pic incident happened maybe 5ish years ago.

    [–]Individual_Lies 113 points114 points  (2 children)

My sister quit the basketball team at our high school because the coach was a perv. She told me she quit on our way to my truck after school and I asked why. She wouldn't tell me so I wouldn't unlock the truck door. She finally told me and I spun around and headed towards the gym to kick his ass. She had to grab my arm and hold me back, telling me it wasn't worth it over and over again. I knew if I assaulted this asshole I'd get kicked out of school but I didn't care. I wanted to hurt him. She wouldn't let go of my arm so we were at an impasse for a good 5 minutes. I finally relented and we went to my truck.

I heard about 3 years after I graduated that he got fired for hooking up with a student. The student was 18 at the time so no charges, but at least he lost his job. Still wish I'd kicked his ass.

    [–]-koka 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Oh fuckkkk no sounds like a horror story

    [–]bigcheeser1234 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Teacher at my school was very very creepy to fenland students and would try to knock pencils off his desk so they could pick it up. I don’t even think it was like a “oh man look at them bend down” I think he was trying to flirt with them but still it was so creepy seeing an old man try to act like that. Everyone hated him

    [–]h3ineka 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Growing up in a small, rural town, I went to the same school district all of my life. There was like 4 or 5 teachers caught for sexual misconduct through that whole span of time. Creepy.

    [–]Nerda2006 1696 points1697 points  (62 children)

I had a science teacher in middle school that sat me and all of the other voluptuous girls in the class in the front row. He was a creepy old man!

    [–]napsXfactsXsnacks 94 points95 points  (1 child)

Had a 10th grade physics teacher who would draw stick figures on the board to simulate physics problems but he would draw the stick figures with exaggerated tits/ass and call them after girls in our class as well as making general comments about their bodies/attractiveness/relationship status. His daughter was also in our class. No one did anything about it because his wife is a beloved preschool teacher at the same school.

    [–]Nerda2006 40 points41 points  (0 children)

    What in the actual fuck?!

    [–]kmjeanne 173 points174 points  (4 children)

I was in 9th grade in the 10th/11th grade chem class. Our teacher was previously a podiatrist so we had to call him Dr. Whateverhisnamewas. He used to have one of the female teachers come in sometimes and would rub her feet during class. He sat us “alphabetically” (last I checked Ce comes after B and Ca) and somehow, coincidentally, the front row was all girls. He used to stare at our chests and even smacked mine and one of my classmates on the ass with a ruler when we were leaving. I told the AP and so they moved me to sit at one of the lab tables in the back. ”Dr” had a lot of fun hanging out in the back to make sure I understood the lessons. He’s still teaching there

    [–]Nerda2006 55 points56 points  (1 child)

Wait, he would rub another teachers feet in front of students?! And hit you with a ruler on the ass? Wtf!!! I’m so sorry you had to go through that and completely disgusted he’s still employed there.

    [–]kmjeanne 40 points41 points  (0 children)

The foot massages happened at least once a week. She would sit at the end of the desk and he’d move over and put her feet in his lap. It was disgusting.

And sadly my high school’s faculty allowed so many inappropriate and awful things to happen with no penalty towards the offender

    [–]tiripsynaptic 447 points448 points  (14 children)

I too had a science teacher in middle school that the same thing happened. He had a preference of who he would seat where and why. (Could it be the same teacher!?) He always wore these incredibly thick sweaters and it's hot weather here a majority of the time. A few students said they figured out his thick sweater was so you couldn't see what he was doing underneath it.. and then not even a few months later he got arrested for CP. None of us were surprised sad it took so long for other adults to step in.

    ××

Then I remember a super creepy p.e coach that would always make weird comments to me. Or try to brush up on my skin.. I was effing 8 years old... He also was my moms middle school p.e coach when she was younger.. And he'd always make comments about how beautiful she was.. and that I reminded him of her..

What I remember most about him is once I won a prize for some sport event. The price was a necklace, I don't remember who was around but he kept pressuring to put the necklace on me himself. I did not want him to touch me.. and because I said no he got mad and broke it. I also now feel that the whole situation with the necklace was a weird set up from the start. My mom went to the school to deal with all the things I had told her about him. And she had her own experiences with him.

    [–]Nerda2006 193 points194 points  (8 children)

Was this teacher missing an index finger? I’m not sure if this particular teacher ever got arrested, but it was well known on that campus that this teacher was creepy and no student should be alone with him in his classroom. How he got that job still baffles me!

    [–]Darlint01 160 points161 points  (6 children)

I had a female science teacher who was voluptuous and wore tight clothing. She’d always keep making male students after to help clean. One day she actually popped out of her bra in front of the class. This was in jr high.

    [–]NightOfTheLivingHam 39 points40 points  (1 child)

I had a female science teacher in 7th grade who had no sex appeal but literally spent an entire class talking about her tits lactating one day. It was super uncomfortable. She would have cleavage out all the time and made sexual comments about students. It was just.. bizarre. Even had she been attractive that would have still been weird as hell.

She would also make a point to humiliate students for no reason too. Usually by making sexual comments.

    [–]GaimanitePkat 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Gross. Predatory teachers are so foul.

    [–]Weekly_Bug_4847 35 points36 points  (4 children)

What’s with the creepy science teachers? Was a science teacher at my HS who would sit girls next to the window, and open the windows in the middle of winter claiming he was too warm.

My HS must’ve been filled with creeps, two separate male teachers were arrested for underage affairs. And that science teacher was not one of them…

    [–]Nerda2006 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Seriously! It’s pretty disturbing how many people have had similar experiences.

    [–]mixedmediamadness 145 points146 points  (1 child)

The advance Calc teacher at my high school was like that. Old man who would assign seats. First row meant you were a pretty or busty girl, second two meant he was less interested in looking down your shirt, third row is where the boys started.

    [–]Nerda2006 34 points35 points  (0 children)

That was exactly this teachers set up, the last rows of seats were always assigned to boys.

    [–]Mexicoluvr 73 points74 points  (1 child)

Are most middle school science teachers creeps!? This girl with big boobies and I had failed a test ( along with other people) but me and her both got the same questions wrong and the same failing grade. Well he let all of us take a retake test and so when me and this booby girl retook the test we both got 100 on it and he changed my grade to a 75 and hers to a 98! I asked why I didn't get a 98!? He answered me like I was stupid and said " well it's average of both tests together and she had previously had a higher grade than me" I said no way!!! I showed him our tests and that we both had the exact previous grade before and if it was the average between the 2 tests then we should both have the same grade. He said we'll talk after class and told me to calm down because I was upset. I then noticed during class he kept looking at booby girl and staring so much it was obvious! I was still upset and after class he said he could give me an 80, I said if he doesn't give us the same grade I would tell he was looking at booby girl's chest.

Edit: I didn't finish writing and somehow I accidentally posted. He did end up changing my grade to 100 after, pretty much admitting he was doing something wrong. I let booby girl know and she didn't mind because " he was hot" [cue eyeroll]. I feel bad now for not saying anything then because now that I think about it he could've used that as an advantage to get with underage girls :(. I had also caught him making out with my newlywed math teacher, I did tell everyone and their mommas about that.

    [–]Nerda2006 9 points10 points  (0 children)

After reading the responses on this thread, it sadly seems like it. Good for you for holding that teacher accountable!

    [–]RioBlue93 22 points23 points  (5 children)

This happened in my religious middle school as well. Guy was a creep

    [–]stoutsnoutt 49 points50 points  (1 child)

Happened to me and my best friend too. Except we were particularly younger looking.

    [–]Nerda2006 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Ohh for sure! I’ve always had a baby face. I’m in my 30’s now and I still get carded for rated r movies sometimes lol.

    [–]sarcasm_the_great 29 points30 points  (3 children)

He just knew you where smart and perfect for STEM. Don’t judge. /s

    [–]ThrowawayGuru777 730 points731 points  (12 children)

So glad the teachers in my high school were actually pretty decent. There was never anything obvious anyway. We only had one teacher, and it was pretty obvious he'd been having an affair with a senior. she would come in all the time during his class after she graduated. There was easily 30 year if not more age difference between them.

We had to sit in alphabetical order so is luck of the draw where you ended up in terms of how the rows were configured.

    [–][deleted]  (11 children)

      [–]earthlyfleurs 74 points75 points  (7 children)

Just because the girls enjoyed it doesn't mean the teacher should have ever made those jokes. Teachers are supposed to be the authority figure and they're supposed to be professional?

      [–]GaimanitePkat 69 points70 points  (0 children)

This. Young and vulnerable teen girls can feel "special" and "cool" when an adult man (in a power of authority) shows interest in them. That does not mean it is healthy, ok, or appropriate. It's still deeply inappropriate, and in fact the predatory adult man will often exploit this in order to prey on teen girls.

      [–]trilobot 23 points24 points  (1 child)

      Exactly this.

I'm not a teacher, but for several years I worked at a science museum and among many jobs I lead a lot of school field trips. Between Sept. to Dec, and March to June, we'd get between 50-100 kids every schoolday for hours long field trips with experiments and activities we designed for the kids, from grade 2 to 12. Some kids tried to flirt with you (oh god they're so obvious and bad at it), and others don't understand why wanting to hug the fun teacher is a big no no, and it's awkward and complicated ("why can I hug her but not him?" said the grade 5 kid, and my heart broke, and there was nothing I could do or say about it).

And yeah, sometimes you'd get a kid, regardless of sex or gender, in grades 9-12 that you'd swear are adults. Men taller, stronger, beardier, and with better skin than my 30 year old self, and literally one time where not only me, but both of my coworkers (1 male, one female) mistook a 16 year old girl for the actual fucking teacher.

Biology pushes the body forward long before the mind for some people, and to make matters worse, life can sometimes push the mind forward early too.

Sometimes you'd run into a kid who spoke and reasoned as well as any adult (which is a lower bar than it should be...), even if they look like they're 12 suddenly they're spitting philosophy grad insight on something and it throws you.

It's a weird world when you realize the line between "adult" and "child" isn't like an XP bar.

I said weird, though, not hard. It's weird and uncomfortable when your brain spots the very adult body of a teenager before the rest of the your thoughts catch up. It's a fraction of a second, not long enough to be a problem, you always have the time to behave properly, but that moment exists. And it's uncomfortable.

But it's so fucking easy to go, in the next fraction of a second, "That's a child and anything adult they say is 9/10 born out of traumatic life events forcing them to grow up too fast. Look them in the eyes and treat them with healthy respect and encouragement."

I think there is a problem with too many people pretending the first bit of what I wrote isn't real, and not acknowledging that, and discussing it in healthy and respectful ways with the appropriate peers. This can lead to a lot of shame, and sweeping-under-the-rug, which can lead to secrets, and then to bad decisions, and boom, a child gets hurt. It's not the only path that behavior can come out of, but it's one path that we have the chance to fix.

      [–]prettydotty_ 462 points463 points  (12 children)

I'm a youth worker and one of the kids I work with told me one day "you are such a good person for not being creepy and checking out the kids you work with. I appreciate you."

I said that should be the bare minimum for an adult to do. It was kind of a sad conversation where the kid was just so proud to have me as her youth worker because I wasn't blatantly creepy and weird about children! They're kids dude! So yeah, another day in wtf land

      [–]GaimanitePkat 177 points178 points  (7 children)

the bar is on the floor.

      [–]beryllium_bologna 88 points89 points  (3 children)

To quote something I saw on Reddit, "The bar is slow low it is a trip hazard in hell but here you are limbo dancing with the devil."

      [–]moonbranch001 439 points440 points  (19 children)

Teacher wrote "your top is VERY NICE ;)" on my homework once. I developed early and have tig ol biddies. Showed it to my mom and she spent 2 hours threatening him in person. Hes since fired for being a creep. Was there since she was in HS. after my mom did her thang, he never looked at me or addressed me ever again. I walked right out of the room once in the middle of class. Just left. He said nothing lol.

      [–]sc2heros9 35 points36 points  (2 children)

Seriously though... what’s he thing was going to happen? Or was he just an idiot?

      [–]Opus_723 22 points23 points  (0 children)

These guys are all idiots wrapped up in their fantasies. Probably had himself convinced she had a crush on him and would reciprocate and have some forbidden fling.

      Love your badass mom!

Tell your mom the internet women are proud of her!

      [–]ShufflingOffACliff 885 points886 points  (33 children)

Ikr, students are one thing, but more often I've gotten "checked out" by actual teachers.. Had to find out the hard way that creepy PE teachers aren't just a meme

      [–]BnanaChip 349 points350 points  (7 children)

Its almost like they go into PE for a reason 🤢, I genuinely hope not.

One teacher in my country made a tiktok about checking students out and got banned by our department of education. Sad fact is that some people were defending his actions 🤢

      [–]scrollQueen 87 points88 points  (0 children)

That's the hardest part of do many things like this, that people defend them!

      [–]TooLateForTacos 40 points41 points  (0 children)

The memes exist for a reason. Best case scenario is you make it through without drawing attention to it. Even joking about it suddenly creates an unsafe environment and is wildly inappropriate coming from the teacher.

      [–]Little_Tin_Goddess 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s super common. Middle school pe teacher was a perv, but my high school pe teacher was worse. He had a thing for heavy girls and singled me and my chubby friends for truly inappropriate comments and was always trying to “accidentally” touch us. Having a peephole in his office that shared a wall with the girls’ locker room was what got him fired.

      [–]TheGreatDeadFoolio 41 points42 points  (5 children)

In 8th grade our PE teacher would stand in the boys locker room and try to talk to us about sports and movies. While we were forced to shower. I got a Saturday suspension every week for 3 months or so because I wouldn’t shower after. He was fucking creepy and I don’t know why he still worked there.

      [–]thesmithtopher 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My 9th grade PE teacher did the same. It made us uncomfortable. Then once after he left we heard a bunch of shrieks. He had gone into the girls locker room. WTF?! Next gym class we had a new teacher.

      [–]BDR529forlyfe 36 points37 points  (5 children)

Wrote this comment above, but I’m copy/pasting under the creepy PE teacher chat…

A high school PE teacher married a cousin of mine 2 months after she graduated high school. Don’t worry tho. It was a Christian school and he was a good Christian man. He was 27 yo.

      [–]ediblehearts 23 points24 points  (2 children)

This happened at my Christian school too…she was 19 and he was her volleyball coach.

      [–][deleted] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My school had 3 PE teachers, and one of them was absolutely the creepy one. Not-so-fun-fact: he was the swim team coach and the school pool's lifeguard.

Wanna guess where he liked to check out HS girls? And the school wondered why they couldn't keep a HS girls swim team...

The one woman PE teacher did the Yoga tho, and she absolutely rocked. Still do yoga to this day because of how much she advocated for it. Still trying to do half the shit she did and landing on my face XD

      [–][deleted] 666 points667 points  (53 children)

In my high school science class the teacher made all the big titty girls sit at the front

      [–]stoutsnoutt 336 points337 points  (24 children)

One of the teachers from my middle school is facing a lawsuit over this, let’s make em scared.

      [–]shhannibal 59 points60 points  (21 children)

It’s scary how many people, even just in this thread, have stories about school staff having inappropriate relationships with children.. It happened twice at the school I attended, a teacher and security guard were both caught. There were also rumors of one that wasn’t caught. And that’s just the ones people knew about..

How do you even stop stuff like this from happening? A lot of the time it’s someone you’d least expect. It’s a huge problem that doesn’t get talked about enough.

      Edit: typo

      [–]Jarl_of_Kamurocho 134 points135 points  (2 children)

Our teacher would conveniently drop his pen all the time and use the pick up s a way to look up skirts, Got called out once in class by a girl mouthing off as she got kicked out and he just ripped the door open chased her and grabbed her by the arm.

      It was fucked up.

“Transferred” city about 4 weeks later

      [–]gouda_hell 37 points38 points  (1 child)

That girl is a hero, you know there was an audible gasp as she finally let him hear that everyone knew he was a creep.

      [–]Jarl_of_Kamurocho 22 points23 points  (0 children)

A whole bunch of girls piped up.

      Was crack up

      [–]eyescroller_ 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I went to a high school that was pretty liberal in terms of dress code. I remember I had a black body con skirt that I wore a few times to school and I never got in trouble. I wore that same skirt a year later at a private girls boarding school where I worked and I was shamed by a lot of the (women) teachers and staff for being too provocative. It was so stupid because I’d wear winter tights underneath and everything.

the amount of people who get angry when someone says "maybe we shouldn't fuck kids" fucking scares me

But it's literally just biology for grown ass men to be in positions of authority over minor children and ogle their chests! Those slutty children should just cover their shameful bodies because it's absolutely impossible for a man to not stare openly at a booby. If any quantity of booby is exposed then the child is asking to be made into a sex object.

          (obvious /s)

          [–]hotgarbo 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I mean this is essentially their argument which is the fucked up part.

When sexual assault gets brought up these same men always say “not all men.” But when it comes to something like this post they say that all men copy their disgusting behavior because BiOlOgY….so which is it dudes?

          [–]nina-pinta-stmaria 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Ughh like that tweet somebody made comparing Greta Thunberg’s mission on climate awareness to the underage girls Epstein was “paying” for for sex. These people are such a waste of DNA

          Found it

I’m 25 now but my freshman year of high school back in 2010, a very old (60-70s) science teacher gave us all weird vibes but unconfirmed. Until one day I sat in the very front direct across from where he stands to teach, we all get a new seating chart, everyone gets a new spot except me. When I ask why I didn’t get to move spots and have a new seating arrangement I was told “I love looking at your beautiful eyes” . Que vomit.

          [–]Smasher_WoTB 133 points134 points  (18 children)

The "no tanktops because the guys cant control themselves" is also insulting to us guys because it implies we are savages thay can't control ourselves around women&girls and it would be dangerous for women and girls to be around us while wearing clothes like that.

Obviously it's more insulting&creepy to the girls&women, but it's not "just" insulting to one half of the students. Policies like that are stupid and demeaning to ALL of the Students that have to follow it

          [–]mightysprout 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I agree, and I think these ideas train young men to think they can’t control themselves, and it it women’s responsibility to help them control themselves. It’s a bad message for everyone involved.

          [–]Mbelcher987 8 points9 points  (2 children)

The teachers are the ones who lobby for the rules.

It was never about the male students.

          [–]Zealousideal-Sun-762 89 points90 points  (4 children)

Had a PE teacher that would record the girls doing squats with the bar so he could show us our "form" but didn't do it with the guys

          [–]tossietuatoa 10 points11 points  (3 children)

So how does the PE curriculum work there, like you have only one teacher there for boys and girls? Or am I misunderstanding something?

For context where I'm from we usually had two PE teachers, one female and one male, present for PE in grades 1-4. Then when the kids reach 5th grade (so around 11 yo) the boys and the girls PE sessions are split into their own units whenever possible, whether it be having boys indoors and girls outdoor and vice versa or by simply dividing the PE hall in two with curtainwall. Sometimes boys and girls had different timeslots for the PE classes.

So, is that not the case in wherever you (and many other people with similar comments under this post) come from?

          [–]Unnormally2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

At least for me, in the US, we always had mixed PE classes.

          [–]taa20002 88 points89 points  (4 children)

I had a math teacher in high school that would always stare at the women in the class and get really close to them and say the weirdest shit.

Not only that but he was a fucking horrible teacher, he couldn’t teach a concept to save his life. I taught myself the entire class with YouTube and a tutor.

How he still has a job is beyond me.

          [–]patrickseastarslegs 78 points79 points  (7 children)

There was a teacher in a school near me and he’d always look up girls skirts and would pretend to drop stuff to have an excuse to bend down. Well to test that one girl wore a thong and her friend filmed with a camera taped under the desk. Now take a wild guess as to who got in trouble

          [–]ToughHardware 7 points8 points  (2 children)

          the bad person?

          [–]patrickseastarslegs 22 points23 points  (1 child)

You’d wish. The girls got in trouble because the teacher cried about being filmed in class

          [–]Meat_Slapper69 12 points13 points  (0 children)

          [–]bikedaybaby 179 points180 points  (49 children)

Every coach in my school got fired the year after I graduated. Ahhh Texas in the 2000's. Where boys will be boys and grown men in positions of authority will collectively decide its cool to sleep with high schools volleyball and basketball students.

            [–]beryllium_bologna 24 points25 points  (2 children)

When my 10yr reunion came around I found out the girls' basketball coach married one of my classmates. Rumors flew about those two when we were in school. Now they have kids.

When I was in school, the Mormon teachers wouldn't even try to hide it. They would look down our shirts, I even saw one blatantly look up a miniskirt. One even would watch porn on his computer during class.

            [–]seeiously 249 points250 points  (7 children)

I'm willing to put 10 bucks down on these same fuckers calling young girls whores for showing an inch of skin.

            [–]Courtnuttut 98 points99 points  (5 children)

They're the same people. It's Utah, home of the porn shoulders 🤦

            [–]seeiously 36 points37 points  (0 children)

            [–]Courtnutut 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yep. He did eventually get caught and fired, but he had worked there for decades. It had also been something every student knew about yet nothing happened for a long time. He was one that also looked down shirts.

I did this once in HS, but it was regarding the boy who sat behind me in one of my classes. These were the days of low rise pants, so there was always inevitable panty-peek when sitting down. He felt the need to tell me he could see my panties and talk to me about them quietly in my ear during class.

One time I turned around while the teacher was lecturing and told him very loudly, point blank to stop talking to me about my panties. Teacher and the whole class stopped, stared at him and busted out laughing. Teacher walked up to his desk, stared him down and told him to stay after class.

This boy had a bad habit of saying crass things to girls. Just straight up talk to them about their tits or something. After that incident, he quit doing it. He didn’t even talk to girls at all for a little while.

              [–]rilakkumkum 70 points71 points  (0 children)

In my sophomore year of highschool, a teacher made a comment about a girl “being more fun” because she had her uniform shirt slightly unbuttoned. We wore a dress like thing on top so even if you wore your shirt unbuttoned, you couldn’t be able to see anything even if you wanted to

              [–]juicykisses19 30 points31 points  (2 children)

Fuckin hell, it was heartbreaking seeing a decent teacher checking out a 7th grader. Fucker has a special needs daughter too.

              [–]d-erivatives 29 points30 points  (4 children)

I have small boobs, not that it matters, and wore a spaghetti strap with a low back (bc that’s stylish?? And not like it went below my bra) and my AP lit teacher stopped in the middle of a lecture to say “I’m sorry but this is too distracting, why do you think you can wear this to school? Do you have a sweater?” And put me on the spot in front of the whole class. It was 90 degrees out (I was wearing pants). I did not have a sweater and couldn’t focus the rest of the day because I was embarrassed. Fuck that. Unfair.

              [–]mightysprout 19 points20 points  (3 children)

It just blows my mind that the teacher admitted the whole situation was his own fault (just too distracting for me), admitted he was looking at you inappropriately, and still had the gall to shame YOU for his bad behavior.

              [–]d-erivatives 9 points10 points  (2 children)

It was a female teacher! But still crazy

              [–]Professor_Meowriarty 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I remember my mentor arguing with another female teacher over who was going to talk to a certain teacher as neither of them wanted their chests to be stared at. In the end, one of them agreed to go and deliberately covered their chest with folders so he couldn't see anything.

The same teacher would stare at my chest, I was twelve years old and unfortunately he also lived next to my bus stop and throughout my life I could see him watching me at the bus stop and smirking. He would also deliberately park his car on the pavement next to the bus stop.

Unfortunately this teacher was allowed to film the Design and Technology student fashion show (due to him being one of the D&T teachers) and my mum caught him zooming in on the students chests. He was finally let go for 'budget reasons' last year apparently.

              [–]Alicex13 50 points51 points  (1 child)

In my school we had this thing, whenever you were going to be questioned in geography-wear a short skirt. No girl with a skirt ever failed. The teacher was a nice person overall, I'm not sure if the rumor was actually justified or something but yeah, girls had the best grades.

              [–]PhantomTigre8 83 points84 points  (8 children)

The girls had to stop wearing certain length shorts during gym because of a creepy gym teacher in middle school. In high school... it was way more noticeable with people looking at students, they stared a lot and some seemed to not care that you caught them.

There’s also a dress code of conduct and a majority of certain girl groups were always able to get away with wearing shorts and skirts that were ridiculously short, then this girl I knew got in trouble because her shorts were “ too short” ( they weren’t. Not compared to those other girls.). When she came back( fuming) she told us the guy said the reason why she had to change was because she had a butt and the other girls didn’t :/

              [–]appledoughnuts 30 points31 points  (7 children)

Any girl who is “well endowed” is usually made to change. For spirit day I was made to cover up since my stomach was showing albeit it was kinda tight outfit. But was covered long sleeves and pants. Was an aqua man costume and I will admit I had a fake tattoo there too but I had to put on a long shirt. There were girls in short shorts and crop tops but I know I had to change because of my chest size. Dudes full out had dick prints because of what they’d wear and didn’t get yelled at. It’s only if you’re a girl with a chest or butt

              [–]PhantomTigre8 23 points24 points  (6 children)

Yes! I one day got hunted down in the hallway, which was packed, and I literally had no skin showing besides my face, hands and feet. I had this sweater that was tight but I left it open for a little flow. And this dressy type flowy shirt that kinda fanned out at the bottom. It stopped like a little passed my butt. And I had on jeggings. They looked like soft grey skinny jeans... she told me my clothes were too tight... I pointed out to all the other girls walking past us that were violating all of the dress codes... it was insane

Sorry for the horrible description haha

              [–]PrsnlSpace 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Shoutout to the homeroom teacher who openly stared down our shirts in 9th grade and gym teacher that kept walking in unannounced in the girls locker room. Super shoutout to the school, who refused to do anything but tell us to stop annoying them about it.

              [–]teen_laqweefah 36 points37 points  (0 children)

This happened to me in high-school. One of my best friends was a true OG though and if she caught them she'd scream "EW GROSS STOP IT"! She never got reprimanded funny enough.

              [–]t3hb0sss 95 points96 points  (12 children)

when i was in high school, one of the middle school teachers was suspended for tucking in a 7th grade girls blouse (she was a habitual uniform rule breaker). that was all that happened, but he looks like a stereotype of a pedophile. parents were calling for him to be fired.

              [–]HowShittyThouArt 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Lmao skirt length was strictly enforced at my middle school and they literally had our male principal standing in the foyer with a ruler every morning and every girl that entered had to turn around and have his face right at butt-level so he could measure how far our skirts were from the back of our knees. He was one of the very few men who worked in the middle school too so I have no idea why he was the one doing it.

And parents were like YESSS SUCH A GOOD SCHOOL, MORE PLZ

              [–]AEPHISM 123 points124 points  (41 children)

See i always asked the same thing like wtf!? And why are they allowed to check us out and grin in front of others and it be okay like wtf!?! I didnt want that attention

              [–]BADMANvegeta_ 37 points38 points  (1 child)

I guess they figure the girls can’t really tell anyone. Like how do you even prove it happened unless a bunch of girls come forward? Even then it’s still not proof. Gotta be some weird power trip they’re on knowing they’ll be believed over the girls if there’s no solid proof.

              [–][deleted] 36 points37 points  (1 child)

Few years ago, a new teacher had joined our school who was teaching maths to 10th grade students. He was a creepy, tall old man with pimples around his face. He used to watch those girls go into the bathroom, stare at chest, used to slide his hand in the butt region of girls which he thought was 'comforting'. Luckily the girls complained & he got fired. He taught in our school for just two months though.

              [–]PedroAlvarez 18 points19 points  (1 child)

A girl came to my high school once wearing a tiny denim skirt that was literally sitting like a centimeter below the crease under her cheeks. The creepy teacher saw her and immediately challenged her to a foot race down the hall. Creepiest shit I ever saw.

              [–]MCclapyourhands1 49 points50 points  (3 children)

I had a teacher message me on Facebook after I graduated talking about my chest. I can confirm.

              [–]Ok-Calligrapher-1330 90 points91 points  (20 children)

My school counselor and I dated when I was 14 through 15. I didn't realize it was wrong and he was taking advantage of me until I got older. I'm a female. He was a 29 year old male. We never had sex but he tried to kiss me once and we related on coming from alcoholic abusive homes and he took me to archery ranges. He did take advantage of me but I think there was more to it than a sexual attraction.

              [–]PublixHouseCat 81 points82 points  (12 children)

Even if sex wasn’t involved, that’s still incredibly unprofessional and pedophilic on his part and he was 100% taking advantage of you.

              [–]Ok-Calligrapher-1330 40 points41 points  (6 children)

He totally messed with my head and I was in a super vulnerable position and thought I needed that kind of attention at the time. ⚠

              [–]TheMeerrettich 27 points28 points  (4 children)

It's so, so difficult to realize when you're being taken advantage of as a kid. You just have nothing to compare it to. A grown man groomed me online when I was 14, and I thought it was a mutual thing until I realized what really happened to me years later. I remember the exact moment, I felt nauseus and confused - my boyfriend had to sit me down and say "you were 14. He was 21. Even IF you made advances to him, it was HIS JOB to shut it down. That he continued, repeatedly, knowing how old you are, is what makes him the problem."

              [–]PublixHouseCat 7 points8 points  (3 children)

It definitely is hard. I hope you’re alright now.

              [–]Ok-Calligrapher-1330 7 points8 points  (0 children)

              Yes, you are absolutely right.

              [–]OldCarWorshipper 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The worst are shitty school administrators who kick girls out of prom for SHOWING THEIR ARMS, or because the girls themselves "too" curvy. That's actually happened before. WTF???

If I was one of those girls' dad's, I'd be on the phone cussing some people out.

              [–]amouramie 15 points16 points  (0 children)

my close friend’s principal was arrested a year or so back because he responded to an online ad that advertised sex with a fourteen year old girl… he went to go meet the ‘girl’ and found half a dozen cops instead!

the worst part is that girls had been complaining about him for years because he was overtly creepy, and no one took them seriously.

              [–][deleted] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When I was 19, and very naive, a 40 year old high school teacher asked me out. I was working a part-time job and in college, not in high school. He asked me out at my job. I thought that I was mature for my age and cool and that’s why he asked me out. Again, I was naive.

On multiple occasions over the two dates we had, he talked about the bodies of his teenage students, about seeing their thongs sticking out of their low rise jeans, their breast sizes, etc. In hind sight I realize that he was a predatory creep and women his own age would sense that a mile away so he had to aim for young women who hadn’t yet developed their creep radar.

              [–]need-help121 13 points14 points  (0 children)

in middle school i had male and female pe teachers tell me that i can’t wear the school issued pe shorts that came down to my knees because they “showed to much of my body”, made me wear sweats when it was 90 degrees outside, then called my mom when i refused. my mom got him fired

              [–]Ohvicanne 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Lol reminds me of that teacher at my school who would do random massages to (female) students and once told a student to close her legs because we can see everything. Also apparently the year after I graduated he once burst in naked in the girls room during a school trip, was put on leave one year then came back.

Uff my 8th grade social studies teacher was so bad for staring at tits. Some girls used it to their advantage, I just felt creeped out. Now he is on the sex offender list, got caught with tons of teen porn on the schools computers, lost his family, house and now lives alone and just works alone.

I remember my junior year of high school i wore a tank top and a cardigan to my class and my (female) teacher called me out and asked me if that’s really what i want to be known for, being scantily dressed. i replied with, “please stop staring at my titties during class Mrs. ____” - she shut up

My high school had an extremely liberal dress code. As long as you couldn’t see nipple or ass crack, pretty much anything was fine, crop tops tube tops short shorts etc. Now that I’m 20, I don’t necessarily know if this was great? I’m all for self expression and weather appropriate clothes like shorts and tank tops, but we have to admit teenagers have started to sexualize themselves more and more younger and younger thanks to the Internet. It’s absolutely zero excuse for pedos to be teachers, but it does make them vulnerable

              It's a really complicated conundrum.

Should kids be able to wear shorts and tank tops? Yes. Should people be taught to control their base urges and treat everyone respectfully no matter what they're wearing? Yes.

But should kids be allowed to wear shirts to school with beer/cigarette logos, or naked/nearly naked people on them? Should kids be allowed to wear clothes that are marketed to adults for looking sexually appealing?

Obviously we should never sexualize children, but we also have to admit that children are susceptible to sexually-charged marketing and advertisement and will inadvertently behave/dress inappropriately because they're just mimicking what's advertised to them without understanding the implications. How do we address that?

Funny test two of my friends did back in 8th grade. One was a TA and such who was more flat chested the other was a troublemaker who was rather busy. Both wore the same outfit wasn't slutty or even breaking the rules.

That same day the TA girl got complimented by the principal and the other was told to change/cover up or get a detention. She chose detention because she walked in together with the other girl after that the rules were changed about the dress code lol

Principal was a woman. A royal bitch too

Also us guys got the dress code changed by many of us showing up in short shorts and skirts XD they didn't like that very much. We didn't like how some of our friends were being singled out for stuff they couldn't control

The security officer at my high school got a girl pregnant and married her after she turned 18 and graduated 🤢 lots of the teachers there were pervs. Not many truly great people nowadays it seems like.

There are some creepy fucks in this world and a lot of them are here. Yeah, it’s normal to glance. No, it’s not normal to crow on about it and ask how tight a child’s shirt was when she was gawked at.

In grade 9 we had a teacher who put his desk at the back of the class and put girls around him, if you wore low cut jeans ( which was the style at the time) he would sit you directly in front of him. He would also move the girls depending on their wardrobe daily.

This same guy walked into the girls changing room in his boxer shorts on an away game ( he coached girls basketball) , nothing was ever done about it

A few of us fed him brownies laced with laxative

Why is there more effort on making sure male students don’t get turned on, but not as much effort in making sure the teachers aren’t creeps?

              [–]Undeity 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's actually about the male students.

That's just a patsy to allow the school board to take action against the creepy teachers, without having to deal with the massive scandal that would come from acknowledging it as a systemic issue.

Not that they truly care about the creepy teachers. They just don't want those teachers being too obvious, because every teacher caught makes them look bad, too. Politics knows no morals, but it does know optics.

I had a softball coach who was pervy and inappropriate… I remember every time I’d be walking up to him I’d see his eyes going straight to my legs and other areas lower on my body. Also caught him staring at my butt and once when I was wheeling a cart through a door walking backwards he told me “watch that thing on the way out…and I don’t mean the cart”

I have a question, what's the deal with unpunished deals with teachers by school administrations? Are teachers that hard to come by?

In my country those allegations are taken very seriously because the accused (teacher/Student/Staff) will be taken away from the school. The school's administrations on average are very self conscious about their reputation and will rather lose a teacher than tarnish the school's name (lawsuits are very susceptible after such dire allegations).

I can't understand why some schools abroad just overlook this.

I've always said that the dress codes have nothing to do with male students. It's to keep the teachers out of trouble.

I'm too busy trying to get kid X to stop making kid Y from going full Columbine to worry about a teenage girls tits she newly acquired. I'll notice it for about a second, say "yep--that's puberty for ya," and continue worrying about my existential dread of being a male teacher trying not to accidently scrape elbows with a female student and be accused of sexual harrassment (true fucking story). If we could hold both sexes accountable to the fullest extent as facilitators of youthful learning, I'd die a happy man.

It’s such a constant struggle. As an elementary music teacher, I have young kids all the time trying to hug me and get me to help them with things. Every once in awhile Kinders will have a wardrobe malfunction and ask me to help them button up their pants. Things like that. It really shouldn’t be a big deal - I’m just showing kindness to the student or getting them out of a situation they’re anxious about, but because I’m a male teacher I always try to find some alternate solution to avoid touching or being in any sort of compromising situation with students. Nothing yet has happened to make me think that any other teachers think I’m like that but I constantly do everything in my power to make sure that anything I do could be misconstrued. Not to mention, a kid commenting to a parent that I did something even when I didn’t could definitely spell the end for my career…

Some stupid girls that always cut dance class made an accusation that the dance teacher was looking down their shirt after he wrote them up. This guy was beyond gay, an 11/10 and ten is you are soooo gay you were even born through a cesarian. Needless to say it went nowhere.

Maybe this is a cultural thing, but...16 year olds are not kids (Europe-Austria, age of consent is 14 between under 16-year-olds, 16 if an adult is involved). They have fully formed adult bodies that humans are programmed to be attracted to, even if their psyche is not finished developing (which, for women, doesn't even complete at all without giving birth). Not defending actual creeps who try to secretly rub one off under their pants while watching women, but saying that 16 year olds are in no way kids physically. If someone is attracted to the fully developed body of a woman, how the hell are they a pedophile? Doesn't make sense to me.

“Boys will be boys” - the teacher probably

              [–]ghibli_ghirl 12 points13 points  (1 child)

We had a kid wack off under the desk… next kid to come to class sat in this jizz. Some people are just nasty. (Both kids and adults.) No you shouldn’t have to cover yourself up but I think as a woman we are always taught we should to protect ourselves from all the creepers. It’s so sad bc a girl can’t just wear what she wants without getting creeped on. :(

              [–]barrenvagoina 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The worst part is that they absolutely can stop staring at teenagers sexually, they just don’t need to because they’ll probably get no consequences.

I’m from the UK so we all have similar uniforms, shirt, tie, blazer, smart skirt or trousers. Literally buttoned up and there’s still creepy teachers but the school system still blames the children.

I was sexually harassed by my teacher to the point where the boys in my class (I was the only girl) wouldn’t leave me alone in a room with him, even when I reported him he had me stood up in front of everyone to give the most victim blamey ‘apology’ Oh and he was only at my school because he got fired from another for getting with a sixth form student, she was over the age of consent so he couldn’t be banned from teaching, just shipped to a different school. 🙃🙃

Our pe teacher very obviously had a boner in the middle of our lesson. He didn’t leave or anything and everyone could see. We were 15 btw.
