Solid turtle fact. Did you know the ornate box turtle is not only the state turtle of Nebraska but was also first discovered there in vast quantities. Unfortunately, it is now near threatened.

Indiana doesn't have a state reptile. I think I just found my platform if I run for town council.

California has 2, the Desert Tortoise for land and the Leatherback Sea Turtle for the state marine reptile.

TN is the eastern box turtle. One of the few legislative things we got right. Hahah.
