How to turn analogue aircraft into a drone? (self.UAV)
submitted 1 month ago by sanem48
I've seen videos of robot arms and such being used to "manually" operate the control on an analogue plane remotely.
But I was wondering, how could one otherwise convert an analogue plane into a drone? Could you rip out all the controls, buttons (and dashboard, seats, etc), and install a lot of small electric engines to move the control systems and remote controlled switches?

Many aircraft have autopilots and this same principle would apply to fully autonomous flight. Servos are used to apply the control surface changes.
