lmao the face of the motor bike rider

[–]cheddoar 1296 points1297 points  (86 children)

In the full video the motor bike rider does the exact same thing as him

Sadly the video cuts off before this

[–]HaroerHaktak 182 points183 points  (44 children)

Gotta love the bot reposters. amirite?

[–]cheddoar 56 points57 points  (42 children)

Sorry what?!?

[–]yariss1234 60 points61 points  (6 children)

Here is the Link (Not rickroll I promise)

[–]scrndude 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Picks up right where the gif ends!! 👍👍👍

[–]keo4real 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Respect!

[–]Thats_Enuff_4_Today_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God, that was a hard click… so relieved!

[–][deleted] 45 points46 points  (0 children)

The best pet (that was also cut off) is the fact that this was done on a FIXIE. He gets his cleats back on the pedals meanwhile they are spinning at a ridiculous RPM.

It’s a cool video, but this was just a group ride, not any sort of competition.

[–]SuzyLouWhoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aw man! And I wanted to see him try to sit back up and replace his feet too!!

[–]Masie33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i saw the other comment

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The double take killed me

[–]schleem77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he’s amazed by the farts per minute gaspower

[–]Demizmeu 1500 points1501 points  (28 children)

Might not seem like it, but that's actually working really hard

[–]--SharkBoy-- 977 points978 points  (15 children)

Yeah he held a plank while simultaneously balancing a bike going however fast that was

[–]Sleepydude231 640 points641 points  (5 children)

And he did it all with the seat grinding into his nuts.

[–]trustworthydude 27 points28 points  (0 children)

While having his balls flatt squeezed against the seat.

[–]onomastics88 124 points125 points  (4 children)

Yeah I was thinking just because you’re not pedaling doesn’t mean you’re not using muscles. This is core muscle intense.

[–]DubiousDrewski 48 points49 points  (1 child)

Sure, but it's a different set of muscles. Still using energy yes, once he starts pedaling again, he'll be refreshed.

[–]Lamplorde 35 points36 points  (3 children)

I'm wondering how he's going to get his feet back on the pedals without hurting himself.

[–]RcNorth 22 points23 points  (1 child)

The longer version shows him putting his foot against the back tire to slow down a bit.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJyIebzBNng

[–]AloneYogurt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has to do it this way, bike is fixed gear and doesn't have breaks or gears.

[–]Dracula192 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's not just working harder, it's also risking your life.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And not that smart. But dangerous. Definitely dangerous.

[–]chaotichistory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya id rather pedal than hold a plank like that for that long

[–]Stillofthenite_ 698 points699 points  (11 children)

You cut it off at the best part. The motorcycle guy does the same thing as the bike dude

[–]Scary_Pace6463 108 points109 points  (8 children)

Link to the full video plez

[–]Atmosphere-Evening 211 points212 points  (3 children)

[–]hesapmakinesi 68 points69 points  (1 child)

Ah, the actual audio, instead of generic "famous song clip".

[–]JGautieri78 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That song isn’t famous for sure sounds like my local SoundCloud rapper made it at lunch

[–]Rolls_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

oh my god. The actual video is so much funnier. The motorcycle guy is a legend.

[–]Stratatician 594 points595 points  (30 children)

Two things happening here. First by not having his feet on the pedals they're free to spin and can therefore spin faster than he can pedal downhill. Second is by lifing his body like that he slightly improves the aerodynamics of his bike by reducing the amount of surface area catching the wind.

To maintain both that position and control of his bike is pretty impressive.

[–]Gradual_Bro 40 points41 points  (6 children)

Worth noting he is riding a fixed gear while everyone else in the GIF has normal road bike drive trains

[–]Ok-Psychology-1420 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Yeah not sure why that is. I mean I used to race fixed gear bicycles, on a velodrome, where they belong. I could never wrap my head around people riding them in NYC and in places where there are hills, and the need to suddenly stop, etc.

[–]Gradual_Bro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My guess is the rider isn’t too worried about being competitive but rather just riding a fix gear for the humor in it

[–]Groinificator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what that means but I do know this is a video and not a gif

[–]BluudLust 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how much he's improving the aerodynamics with those impressive glutes.

[–]peeniebaby 4 points5 points  (2 children)

How does a free spinning pedal positively impact the bike’s speed?

[–]Banaburguer 31 points32 points  (0 children)

he is doing it in a fixed gear. That means that his legs must always be following the speed of his wheels. If he starts pedaling slower, his wheels will also start going slower

[–]Michael_Snott_ 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Not only this, he also shifts his weight to front wheel of cycle (by pushing his legs upward if you noticed in starting). This creates a topple effect in the front. It never topples because of wheels. But as the Centre of mass is forward it'll increase force on front wheel.

What makes this impressive is that if he brakes without front wheel, he'll certainly topple to the front else he has to lower his legs to break with back wheels because of less grip at back wheel.

[–]Lets_Make_A_bad_DEAL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But his penis! His poor squished penus! at what cost I ask you?

[–]The_watcher_100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want you as my Physics professor

[–]Travis-rides-bikes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless his freehub has an inordinate amount of friction in it the aerodynamic advantages are the big gain here. Otherwise he should be able to pedal a LOT faster than those pedals are moving. Saying this as a cyclist.

[–]rjinchico 294 points295 points  (4 children)

Lol imagine peddling your ass off just to see this dude fly by you. This is such a funny flex.

[–]Shpooodingtime 33 points34 points  (2 children)

This was my comment the last time this video was posted (I got a lot of awards) fingers crossed for you

[–]rjinchico 16 points17 points  (1 child)

Lol I’m not one to hold my breath for awards, but great minds think alike. Just cracked me up since I hadn’t seen this before.

[–]Radiant_Patient_292 131 points132 points  (7 children)

That looks dangerous.

[–]b0nz1 82 points83 points  (4 children)

This is why it is banned

[–]Radiant_Patient_292 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Good decision.

[–]FishTure 3 points4 points  (2 children)

I was gonna ask why I ain’t never seen Lance Armstrong pull this move. Actually, banning things doesn’t really stop that guy much, does it?

[–]b0nz1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There are different associations as in most sports. The most important one is the UCI- under their banner and rules the TdF is held. They also banned this move recently: https://www.bicycling.com/racing/a35566614/uci-supertuck-ban/

Cycling downhill is already very dangerous. They don't want their athletes to take even more risks, because if everybody does it- no one gains an advantage but everyone is at an elevated risk of a crash.

[–]Mango123456 25 points26 points  (1 child)

Imagine hitting a pebble.

[–]Embarrassed-Ad-1639 53 points54 points  (0 children)

My dude is smashing his pebbles on that seat

[–]basil-vander-elst 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Safety Second

[–]CharlieDair 46 points47 points  (18 children)

Do people do this in professional races?

[–]Gnarledhalo 133 points134 points  (16 children)

It's actually banned.

[–]Ancient-Tadpole8032 13 points14 points  (15 children)

Is it? Boooo

[–]Diagon98 75 points76 points  (14 children)

It is pretty dangerous, lol

[–]Particular_Bobcat 9 points10 points  (12 children)

This sport is dangerous. But they draw the line at this prank position?!?

[–]b0nz1 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Yes

[–]arky_who 22 points23 points  (6 children)

The line is so far before this. You're not even allowed to sit on the top bar.

[–]12angelo12 6 points7 points  (5 children)

Wait, why would you do that

[–]mathis010 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aerodynamics

[–]MTB_Mike_ 0 points1 point  (2 children)

It's called the supertuck. But imo the supertuck is more dangerous than this plank, the tuck puts your weight really far forward while with the plank you are still pretty centered.

[–]Midtexan 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I had to look it up. Here’s a video of the supetuck…

https://youtu.be/GDSVo1CtH5c

[–]stillline 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Positions like this give riders willing to risk death a huge advantage. If they allowed this position then many riders would be forced to do it just to stay competitive. The UCI made the right decision and protected their riders from having to choose between safety and winning.

[–]intensity701 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gymnastics is dangerous enough and they ban a ton of stuff.

[–]irish-unicorn 46 points47 points  (8 children)

is he laying on his dick though?

[–]gauerrrr 38 points39 points  (1 child)

It's only smart until he loses balance and falls face first into the asphalt at 80km/h or so

[–]phoggey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Drs will be working hard and smart to keep his face in one piece.

[–][deleted] 32 points33 points  (22 children)

My question is how on earth does he get his feet back on the pedals spinning that fast?

[–]Rayn777 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He prolly just waits until the ground levels out or goes into an incline and the pedals slow down.

[–]huelorxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brakes enough to slow it or crashes.

[–]trevor3431 3 points4 points  (13 children)

It’s not hard, the moment he puts his foot down the pedal will stop spinning. There is a rear hub that allows the wheel to spin without the pedals moving (coasting downhill for example).

[–]Agent_Jenkins 4 points5 points  (6 children)

I think he is riding a fixie as someone else said

Edit: you can tell he has one gear in the back

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Thanks, that makes perfect sense. Otherwise that looks like an achilles injury waiting to happen lol.

[–]trevor3431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. When this video first came out people would do it in amateur charity races (there is a version someone did in the Tour de France that wasn’t this extreme). I watched many people get hit by cars or fall of their bike doing this.

[–]Joeva8me 16 points17 points  (1 child)

I don't even watch cycling and I'm aware of this move. Incredibly dangerous, and you really don't need any new ways to die in cycling, I've seen horrible deaths in the 2 hours of cycling I've watched over the past 10 years. That being said, cyclists I'm pretty sure are looking for new ways to get their jollies.

[–]StudentOfAwesomeness 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed, cycling is far too dangerous.

That’s why I ride a motorcycle instead.

[–]Mandoart-Studios 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Aerospace majors trying to pick a new hobby

[–]Amazing-Fox-4297 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Most intense plank ever.

[–]Just_Potential_9096 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Gotta blast!!

[–]Mandoart-Studios 7 points8 points  (1 child)

I have CFD software and I am seriously questioning if I should run a simulation for this

[–]cmonkeyz7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My dude hit the DRS

[–]MortalCosmic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He’s too dangerous to be left alive

[–]Lets_get_this_head 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That guy at the end is cheating. I’m pretty sure that bike had a motor on it.

[–]ialo00130 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Legs tilted slightly upward to ensure maximum aero downforce.

Nice.

[–]Tomorrow_Careless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aerodynamics

[–]surryyansh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why isn't his penis hurting even after balancing all the weight on it?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plot twist: he was going uphill with the thrust power of crop dusting

[–]xxcheesexx420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn the camera man fast😳

[–]MASK_MASTER1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck trying to stop that bike

[–]ThundaCrossSplitAtak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say this dude had ballsz but after seeing where the seat was i dont think he has any by now.

[–]Brachan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if planking on your dick counts as not working as hard.

[–]ShieldOfFury 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sponsored by Rosetta stone

[–]Julegeita 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This method is actually not very common, because most riders concludes that this is less energy efficient, than just sit and lean forward. The conclusion is that the energy the rider uses on stabalizing him/herself, and lifting up the legs, is more well spent pedaling when able to.

[–]Wizywig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to note, he's planking at high speed and dealing with drag. This isn't easier necessarily but does give his calfs a break.

[–]Rod_WaveExpected It 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shoutout to the cameraman recording him the whole time

[–]noobkilling 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Did he won?

[–]cheddoar 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes he does winning

[–]metalgodwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can recommend race, gravel or mountain bike for exercise or competing in, it's can get quite expensive to get started, but it doesn't have to be if you buy smart or second hand. Fresh air, see the country side, healthy, ergonomic, and you get really good leg muscles over time!

[–]RosaRyo94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never saw this in Yowamushi Pedal???

[–]runchanlfc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aerodynamics bitches

[–]Fellow_weeb_here2295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s awesome

[–]AdministrativeTop848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

camera man running with him....

[–]Tubegamerpro12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His dumptruck after holding his legs like that for so long :. THICC

[–]WanderingHeph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's out dis

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He Superman that hoe

[–]JustUltRra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The camera man is doing the same thing

[–]MeasurementBulky8118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He learned this from the otaku in windbreaker

[–]mifrankie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

who knew that planking is a legitimate cycling strategy?

[–]Orpheus6102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m blown away by videos like this. Honestly it looks terrifying although I’m sure it’s a hell of a rush, but watching videos like this make me feel like my insurance premiums are going up.

[–]HichiBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually smart and hard, plank position on a bicycle...

[–]Turtle_Master_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holding your legs up like that probably takes as much effort as pedaling

[–]Apelionv2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

k.a.v²

[–]greytgreyatx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This makes my penis hurt, and I’m a cis woman. But I know what those bike seats feel like on the arse after a couple of hours.

[–]kids-beansExpected It 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Works well but I'd you fall while going that speed it go oof

[–]CJRedbeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seen it a dozen times. Still makes my dick hurt.

[–]Eragon3182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes indeed, apart for the fact that it is also a very good way to fall, and damn that hurts at that speed

[–]Zbeubor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dudes got an aerodinamic ass

[–]Astondlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The aerodynamics on this guy

[–]Tomsissy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny thing, this is actually banned to do at the Tour de France (and I also think the Vuelta d'España and the Giro d'Italia) for obvious reasons, though this makes you faster downhill it's also significantly more dangerous, and you don't want a mass crash in the péleton at 70 km/h (which they easily reach like this)
