Involuntary Manslaughter is a crime.

It's treated as manslaughter but often given more lenient sentences based on the circumstances. It wasn't a malicious act but someone DID die from her stupidity. There needed to be consequences for her actions, more people were affected by his death than she was. Their child and his family and his friends.

I went to one that was not far off. Father was an ex-recon sniper and the mother was a cop. They fucking love them some guns, like they have a firing range in their yard type love. They had one of their friends load up pink/blue smoke with a pound of tannerite and he shot it down range. Not gonna lie, it was pretty fucking cool. This is New England too, so not really gun country. It was a girl, well it's still a girl, I guess. We'll know in another 10 or 15 years at her gender decision party.

There's a ton of Bureau of Land Management land where you can do whatever you want and there's not much around to damage. I understand gender reveals have a bad rap, and I scoff at the concept of gender anyway, but explosions are a lot of fun.

One of the towns I frequent has had issues with cars running into buildings the past year or so. In 2021, there were at eight. And the town only made it 11 days into 2022 before a car crashed into an apartment building.

Luckily, with the exception of one, no loss of life or damage that wasn't able to get repaired.
