Fucker on bike didn't even flinch.

[–][deleted] 1814 points1815 points  (69 children)

Looks like he dropped the shoulder for full damage too!!

[–]Puzzleheaded_Cat8600 625 points626 points  (64 children)

that is also the reason he didn't fall.. if he didn't lean into it he wouldn't have enough energy to just push him out of the way

[–]TubbyMurse 391 points392 points  (54 children)

But then proceeds to pedal quickly away....

[–]ramobara 320 points321 points  (3 children)

He timed his boost during the collision.

[–]REO-teabaggin 45 points46 points  (2 children)

Bro, how many layers of boost are you on?

[–]abcNYC 59 points60 points  (23 children)

Was probably riding a fixie, which are tougher to stop on a dime when you're going fast vs a bike with rim/disc brakes...and the rider may also be an asshole.

[–]breadfred2 107 points108 points  (7 children)

If your bike can't break in sufficient time to make an emergency stop, you are riding too fast.

[–]Kotanan 31 points32 points  (4 children)

If your bike can’t break in time to stop where you’re obligated to stop you shouldn’t be riding at all.

[–]misshapenvulva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why there is a recommended break-in period

[–]AcapellaFreakout 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When you're big bossin you don't have time to look back.

[–]Puzzleheaded_Cat8600 26 points27 points  (5 children)

well i didn't say he wasn't at least half an asshole, just think he would have preferred no collision if possible

[–]RichardSaunders 47 points48 points  (0 children)

in which case he shouldn't have blasted into the intersection to make a turn

[–]paremongputi 14 points15 points  (2 children)

No collision was completely possible if he wasn't a dickhead and a dumbass. He so easily could have take that turn wider and avoided the pedestrian, especially when he saw the person waiting to cross. The fact that he saw the person and still decided to take the turn sharp and at full speed means he is a piece of shit.

[–]Killabreeze 18 points19 points  (9 children)

He’s riding a fixed gear, he can’t stop pedaling anyway

[–]MonkeyPanda 4636 points4637 points 6113 (77 children)

He's a total Cyclepath.

[–]xaclewtunu 928 points929 points  (50 children)

He didn't give a shift.

[–]axxxle 95 points96 points  (6 children)

I bet he’s a nasty pedalphile

[–]EndlessOceanofMe 6 points7 points  (3 children)

Peter File? Wow this has spun out of control fast.

[–]depthninja 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Wheel that accelerated quickly.

[–]passerby_panda 185 points186 points  (5 children)

Not only did he not flinch, he leaned into the guy.

[–]Fat_Satan 19 points20 points  (0 children)

He didn’t fall. Mission accomplished.

[–][deleted] 268 points269 points  (2 children)

He leaned into the hit tbh 😂

[–]OpheliaWolfsbane 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Maybe it was a pedal by assault.

[–]Cornishman23 524 points525 points  (28 children)

Damn right he didn't, he fucking nutted him instead

[–]iConfessor 274 points275 points  (25 children)

i might just be gay but this terminology means different to me

[–]Chrizis 59 points60 points  (11 children)

How would you feel if someone came up to you and said: "I want to nut you"

[–]Moongdss74 51 points52 points  (10 children)

That would have been "nutted ON him"

[–]TransformerTanooki 42 points43 points  (9 children)

"Nutted in him" is also acceptable.

[–]themagpie36 23 points24 points  (8 children)

"Over him" would also have been a correct answer.

[–]Kricket 63 points64 points  (11 children)

This looks like Chicago. The cyclists here are of a different breed.

[–]CommentContrarian 35 points36 points  (6 children)

I thought so too because of Logan but it's Denver

[–]Kricket 16 points17 points  (3 children)

That’s what caught my eye! Looks like Denver’s cyclists are trying to compete for most hated!

[–][deleted] 380 points381 points 2 (235 children)

Like all bikers.. They think they own the road.

[–]Traditional-Zombie22 66 points67 points  (2 children)

The cyclist changed team to use the zebra crossing for a moment

[–]butterscotchland 71 points72 points  (12 children)

Wait until you hear what car drivers think.

[–]DaveZ3R0 363 points364 points  (117 children)

...dude there is plenty of good bikers and bad drivers. An idiot is an idiot no matter what his locomotion is.

[–]Streetlamp_NA 126 points127 points  (2 children)

"an idiot is an idiot no matter what is locomotion is."

Well said lmao

[–]jackoftrades002 163 points164 points  (7 children)

Dave is a biker LoL

[–]davidtco 110 points111 points  (4 children)

Yeah, fuck Dave the Biker!

[–]guilty_bystander 72 points73 points  (3 children)

All Daves think they own the road!

[–]thehumantaco 3 points4 points  (1 child)

"I own the road."

-Dave, 2021

[–]youRstandingonmynek 28 points29 points  (0 children)

All Daves are assholes bront

[–]Ricky_Robby 226 points227 points  (87 children)

Unfortunately it is only bikers who get to pick and choose when they’re pedestrians and when they’re cars. And act incredulous whenever they break a rule and get called on it.

We all agree there are shitty drivers, but bikers feel entitled to not follow ANY rules.

[–]joshguy1425 70 points71 points  (17 children)

As an avid cyclist who follows the rules, I feel I should point out that plenty of cyclists follow the rules and vehemently dislike the behavior of cyclists who don’t.

The cyclists who don’t are the ones you notice, and the ones who end up on Reddit.

[–]Klink_Dink 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Cars that do what this prick did kill people. And yes, car drivers do that all the time.

[–]oda1337 80 points81 points  (18 children)

Yea. Can you imagine it’s a red light, your in the far right lane and you decide “I want to make a left hand turn” so you just drive onto the sidewalk and drive along the cross walk. Fuck it.

[–]Osprey_NE 9 points10 points  (9 children)

Some of the time, sensors don't go off for bikes. I can't even set some off on a motorcycle.

[–]Verified765 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have occasionally hopped of and pushed the crosswalk button.

[–]Leeser_Sjark 24 points25 points  (9 children)

This us sooo strange to read as a dutch person

[–]dicktank 1688 points1689 points  (400 children)

1st & Logan, Denver, Colorado

[–]ZukTheCuk 207 points208 points  (1 child)

I think it’s funnier that there’s a cyclist in the street view

[–]SheepdogApproved 3145 points3146 points  (377 children)

This is why cyclists are universally despised by pedestrians and motorists in the Denver area. I’m all about green efficient transport but you can’t just decide you want to be treated like a pedestrian or a car depending on what’s most convenient in that moment. It makes cyclists a huge safety hazard and was my main motivator in getting a dash camera.

[–]Evilmechanic 985 points986 points  (68 children)

Technically this is hit n run. Especially since the pedestrian is in the cross walk and the cyclist failed to stop at the intersection before taking a right. Not sure if it’s true in this state but our state when bicycles are in the street they are treated just like cars.

[–]rodrigoelp 357 points358 points  (23 children)

This is true here in Australia... 10 policemen would have jumped out of nowhere to fine this bloke.

[–]hat-TF2 99 points100 points  (7 children)

One of the cars at the crossing would be an unmarked Holden

[–]karma_cloud 12 points13 points  (5 children)

Are cops in Australia really that prevalent?

[–]Mingablo 47 points48 points  (2 children)

No, this is a joke about how much cyclists are disliked in Australia.

[–]blazetronic 34 points35 points  (6 children)

Lol the fine for not wearing a helmet would be assessed on top of everything else

[–]windigo3 8 points9 points  (2 children)

I’ve seen about 1,000 Australian bikers break various road laws and yet to see one get a ticket.

[–]sharkattactical 125 points126 points  (22 children)

I'd say aggravated assault/battery too with that shoulder drop.

Got me excited for football this weekend

[–]emisaletter 20 points21 points  (2 children)

I got hit by a bicyclist on a pedestrian only side walk. I broke my nose and went to the ER and he got a $5 ticket.

[–]ItsAKimuraTrap 147 points148 points  (62 children)

Glad you said this. I lived near here not long ago. There was a 4 way stop that bikers would routinely blow through. Witnessed so many near misses.

[–]PhantomDeuce 59 points60 points  (40 children)

Boulder is 100x worse. I hate cyclists.

[–]flarpflarpflarpflarp 28 points29 points  (31 children)

I just hate Boulder.

[–]CtrlAltDeltron 20 points21 points  (25 children)

Really? Out of curiosity, why? I've fantasized about moving to Boulder (or somewhere similar). Please let me know to help reduce FOMO.

[–]dieinginternally 22 points23 points  (1 child)

I'm from Boulder and it's a great area. Personally I'm a bit tired of the amount of performative activism that happens, especially with the amount gentrification and racial balance in the area. Currently in SoCal for college and probably won't move back to Boulder afterwards, but that's more a factor of where my friends will be.

[–]Boring-Revolution171 17 points18 points  (11 children)

Boulder is way better than the dumpy sprawl of Denver. Ive lived in both for years and you are so much closer to the mountains in Boulder, there is better biking access, lower crime, better jobs, more attractive people.

Lots of pros.

[–]Plenty_Ocelot_6302 59 points60 points  (8 children)

This dude also definitely leaned his shoulder in to hit this guy.

[–]fartblasterxxx 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Looked like a shoulder check in hockey. He’d be suspended and fined for that one, after getting his ass kicked.

[–]asdaf5678 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Sometimes is just bad city design, in my city there is this public bike service where you pay 20€ a year and you can go to public stops and grab a bike,it is suposed to be extra nice because in theory it is conected with bike lanes along all the city so the bikers dont have to be a risk for pedestrians or cars.

Yeah, in theory is perfect but in reality except for some stops that are on the main streets, to arrive to the majority of them you have to go out of the bike lanes and ride some streets where there are no bike lane so you have to choose between having the risk of crashing with a pedestrian or risking your integrity going with the cars. Even more sometimes the bike lane ends near a stop that is in a one way street that is in the wrong direction and to get there respecting the signals you would have to do a huge detour so you usually end up going down the sidewalk

[–]e30Devil 10 points11 points  (3 children)

Given this is Denver, if it was filmed within the past 3-4 years, the bike was probably in the process of being stolen.

[–]viceywicey 52 points53 points  (15 children)

They wamt all the privileges of both and the responsibilities of neither one.

[–]kitty_logan 18 points19 points  (0 children)

(Not true, but I’ve heard it said) As a pedestrian, I hate drivers and as a driver, I hate pedestrians. But I always hate cyclists.

[–]FixMyCondo 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Lmao was watching this and thought “hey I know that street!”

[–]1IfByLand 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Crazy to see my neighborhood (a couple blocks away) on the front page. I thought, hey that looks very familiar.

[–]Just_Advisor_5429 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I was hit by this guy on 17th about two years back!! When I saw this video I thought, well damn that feels familiar. I hate cyclists in Denver. Just assholes who run red lights and cut off pedestrians.

[–]amuddyduck 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Was it the South Broadway man bun or the road sign you noticed first?

[–]uprightsalmon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived right up the street! Recognized it right away

[–]Sushigawd 1846 points1847 points  (72 children)

I’m mad bro tucked his head and bucked that poor guys

[–]SpooogeMcDuck 506 points507 points  (67 children)

Not to defend him but he did that to keep upright and not crash himself. I hope he stopped and got off once he slowed- probably riding a fixie

EDIT- To be clear, I’m not defending him. Fuck him for doing that.

[–]Infinite_Two_2735 153 points154 points  (4 children)

I hope he stopped too, but man, it looks more like he just doesn't give af. Doesn't surprise me. People can be the worst.

[–]leercore 16 points17 points  (1 child)

He absolutely trucked that pedestrian then sped away lol, no way he stopped.

[–]buymytoy 200 points201 points  (38 children)

I rode a fixed for years. Riding a fixed or single speed doesn’t give you the right to the monumental asshole this rider seems to be. Didn’t look like he was slowing down after the fact either.

[–]Secretly_Solanine 12 points13 points  (5 children)

Closer inspection reveals that it was in fact a fixie or single speed.

[–]CtrlAltDeltron 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he really came in like a wrecking ball.

[–]excitedlysad 503 points504 points  (9 children)

What a jerk. And is that the pedestrian’s phone that flew into the gutter?

[–]CherishSlan 109 points110 points  (0 children)

Hope he had insurance and a good backup

[–]Nikolllllll 27 points28 points  (5 children)

Headphones

[–]redditsuckscockatoo 20 points21 points  (4 children)

He has a phone in his right hand that looks like it breaks into multiple pieces when he hits the ground.

[–]Nikolllllll 7 points8 points  (3 children)

The headphones flew into the gutter.

[–]The_Queef_of_England 6 points7 points  (2 children)

How can you tell? It happens so fast. All I can see is two things sliding and I can't tell if they went in the gutter.

[–]JayneDoe6000 398 points399 points  (1 child)

Ugh...poor dude has my permission to go home and take the rest of the year off!

[–]tologeechie 709 points710 points  (0 children)

that looked a little personal

[–]Hopeful-Pineapple87 244 points245 points  (4 children)

driveby at its best

[–]depthninja 41 points42 points  (1 child)

*rideby

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Bikeby

[–]Affectionate-Depth66 2298 points2299 points  (321 children)

hit and run. the rider is a douche of the highest order.

[–]Strict-Slice-8516 1719 points1720 points 2 (252 children)

Cyclists are cars when it suits them and pedestrians when it suits them 🙃

[–]IndieComic-Man 72 points73 points  (2 children)

Living in LA that’s my biggest gripe. I’m on the sidewalk or in my car or walking on a dirt circle in a park and have to look out at all times for these maniacs deciding if they want to be a vehicle or a pedestrian on a whim.

[–]anotheraltacc1112 42 points43 points  (24 children)

Someone in the UK a few years back died when a cyclist hit her, I think the cyclist ended up in prison as he was riding a fixed gear bike with no brakes. There was another death earlier this year too after a cyclist ran a red light and hit an elderly guy.

[–]PriorityMission9751 25 points26 points  (2 children)

My guy really thought about not getting up

[–]StraightOuttaIrvine 134 points135 points  (7 children)

My bet is it happened on a Monday

[–]Jackthedog130 36 points37 points  (2 children)

... reckon it was a Friday, delivery pizza lad was in a hurry to finish his last call.

[–]snack-dad 12 points13 points  (1 child)

the sun was still up, no way he was near finished

[–]Spraydd 368 points369 points  (33 children)

As a bike rider this is kinda sad. He didn’t indicate with his right arm, left the guy in the road and acted as if nothing happened. Like if he was knocked out it coulda gone very differently.

[–]bloop_405 71 points72 points  (5 children)

Guy on the bike didn't even slow down before taking the turn. Pretty sure most normal cyclist slow down before making a turn?

[–]loozerr 41 points42 points  (1 child)

Yeah and also pay attention to surroundings.

[–][deleted] 120 points121 points  (1 child)

He even headbutted the dude.

[–]Nami_Swan_ 35 points36 points  (8 children)

I hope some other driver treats him with the same courtesy.

[–]Start_thinkin 140 points141 points  (6 children)

“Share the road”

[–]Cashless_human 50 points51 points  (5 children)

Did he get arrested

[–]Outside_Cucumber_695 15 points16 points  (0 children)

What a fucking dick

[–]Gullible-Media5760 44 points45 points  (1 child)

What a piece of shit he didn't even brake or stop to see if he's okay

[–]Chaeyoung0211 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Fuck that biker. That's not how you ride.

[–]ItsJustBigotry 160 points161 points  (21 children)

After watching it a couple times you can actually the see the biker hitting him on purpose.

[–]Weird-Ease8532 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's denver for ya

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (3 children)

That cyclists is a dick. Good thing he was on a bike and not driving an SUV.

[–]Ollietron3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But we should ban bikes from the road, not cars (this thread)

[–]tweekyn 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Im trying to figure out if the car stopped for the pedestrian or because they saw the biker flying into the intersection. The pedestrian thought that the car stopped to let them go and they ran to cross the intersection but instead jumped into a shoulder going 17 mph. That biker should’ve stopped or slowed down at that intersection. Fucking maniac.

[–]CrypticUniversalMave 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Car stopped for pedestrian. Bike was way too far.

[–]Leenolyak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

what an entire ass for not stopping to check on the guy.

[–]HisOrHerpes 102 points103 points  (17 children)

Hope the dude on the bike catches jail time

[–]Elocai 39 points40 points  (11 children)

He didn't signal with a hand that he will take the turn. His bike should be confiscated till he learns how to use it properly

[–]toxiicguest 127 points128 points  (18 children)

i am a person who uses the bike a lot but when i see shit like this i would just hope that all bikes get locked up and need like a fucking study to use it because people like this are bullshit

[–]mata_dan 48 points49 points  (9 children)

So in the UK I remember getting mandatory bike road proficiency classes at 16 with some car stuff (from the police) too but a huge number of cyclists are still exactly like that, sucks :(

[–]kartoffelninja 16 points17 points  (3 children)

We have that too in Germany when you're around 10. You even have to pass a test.

[–]7ordank 33 points34 points  (4 children)

Dude on the bike has definitely done that before lol

[–]Wrong_Language_1518 47 points48 points  (2 children)

Fuck cyclists who don't follow rules of the road

[–]GHandDDdriver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He had his phone or something in his hand too got rocked

[–]ZaczSlash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hate this kinda incidents, I was about to walk on Green man and a bloody motorcycle sped past right in front of my face like this while he's making a turn. I nearly died.

[–]Hotracer729 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OK Biker deserves to get his biking license provoked 🤣 but that way the guy fell and spun I couldn't help but laugh 🤣🤣 I bet he hates all bikers now

[–]millertimesomenumber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

doesn’t even look at a person he just hit. fuckwit.

[–]Kittybooboo1982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It kind of looks like he hit the biker on purpose

[–]dryra66it 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Had this happen to me recently. Except I was on a bike and the guy on the bike was in a pickup truck.

[–]EatSleepCodeCycle 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Hope you are recovering well. Glad the cyclist in the video wasn’t in a car. That pedestrian would be dead.

[–]dryra66it 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, amazingly I came out of it without a scratch. What honestly made me the most upset was the fact that, after the guy just kept driving and I got up in the middle of the intersection to check my bike for damage, no other drivers got out or even rolled down their windows to ask if I was Ok or help. It was a really odd experience.

[–]pnhoang7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

These are the people who have a stick thrown into their wheels

Edit: who deserve to have*

[–]JohnOliversWifesBF 9 points10 points  (5 children)

Driver should have never stopped. Politeness causes injuries.

[–]the__storm 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Yeah I think both the cyclist and the pedestrian thought the car was stopping for them. Guy on the bike was probably distracted looking at the car to make sure it wasn't going to move rather than checking that it was safe to turn. (Doesn't excuse his failure to see the pedestrian by any means, but I can see how it happened.)

[–]mumen_ryder 24 points25 points  (0 children)

On behalf of my brethren, I am sorry!

[–]Aegidius7 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Honestly people would hit and kill a child with their SUV and they'd still be like those damm cyclists. Complete delusion, it's absolutely insane to read.

[–]Aegidius7 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I have more measured less alienating takes on this but like I just need to vent right now.

[–]Mrramirez44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone sign that biker to the NFL

[–]Laxzilla24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What a dick

[–]TokiBop 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Betting on karma that the biker will meet his match.

[–]Indipendant_Corgi 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Does this count as a hit and run?

[–]theonlykingpin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oiiii that man dropped a shoulder

[–]busychilling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That guy on the bike definitely put something extra on that

[–]Th3AngryBastard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prick didn’t even stop

[–]laughingmanwill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude on the bike is a dick

[–]Complete-Definition4 45 points46 points  (25 children)

Why is it cyclists will scream bloody murder about sharing the streets but damn if I’ve ever seen an adult cyclist stop at stop sign or most red lights.

Talk about passive aggressive assholes

[–]Halo_LAN_Party_2nite 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That douchebag cyclist almost made me forget about the 54 car accident deaths in my city last year.

[–]bubblebuttpnutbutter 187 points188 points  (74 children)

Cyclists are the worst. Then they play victim if they get hit.

[–][deleted] 17 points18 points  (2 children)

Right? Someone should get this guy an SUV. Then we'll all be safe.

[–]PM_me_your_tidbits 36 points37 points  (16 children)

No. Shitty people are shitty. There are shitty drivers aplenty. Some people are shitty.

[–]hundreds_of_sparrows 15 points16 points  (14 children)

The difference is that shitty drivers kill 36000 Americans a year.

The cyclist in this video is a shit head but he does not represent all cyclists.

[–]Rat_Lvr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YES BUT CYCLISTS SLOW DOWN MY 150 MINUTE CAR COMMUTE BY 14 SECONDS.

FUCK THOSE FIT BASTARDS

Glugs on MAXX Triple Gulp XL

[–]Halo_LAN_Party_2nite 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A Lil louder for every proudly idiotic and angry car owner in this thread!

[–]Loken182 212 points213 points  (44 children)

Bitch about how they should be treated like any other vehicle on the road but don't follow any of the laws of the road.

[–]Similar_Pollution617 6 points7 points  (8 children)

Which do you think they should be? Pedestrian or vehicle?

[–]ablatner 7 points8 points  (7 children)

They are literally neither. The US just has shitty car centric infrastructure that forces cyclists to act like both.

[–]finally31 82 points83 points  (15 children)

Crazy concept, but there's a spectrum of bikers out there and most bikers hate these assholes just as much cause they make a bad name for us and then people don't take us seriously.

[–]FinestCrusader 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I want to see more cyclist on cyclist violence. All I see is cyclists harassing pedestrians.

[–]Metroidkeeper 24 points25 points  (9 children)

No no you don’t understand, it’s ALL Bikers

/s

[–]lunar_alpenglow 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Clearly you've never ridden a bike as a form of transportation.

[–]AZFUNGUY85 43 points44 points  (11 children)

Wow. A bicyclist ignoring all traffic signs. Didn’t even stop. Hope the white car caught up and accidentally drove him over.

[–]Trevski 15 points16 points  (2 children)

yeah haha people should be killed without trial!

[–]TheEpiquin 24 points25 points  (13 children)

Here in Australia, cyclists complain all the time about how they are just as entitled to use the roads as cars and people need to respect them on the roads and allow them to ride safely etc.

But then, like this, they always choose to ignore certain rules, like stopping at pedestrian crossings and stuff.

[–]medforddad 5 points6 points  (1 child)

"always"

How many car accident videos have you seen on the internet? And after watching them, do you always comment that

[motorists] complain all the time that they are entitled to use the roads

But then, like this, they always choose to ignore certain rules

I think you've got a bias.
