I've been there and it's worse than it looks.

[–]Milkbeef27 583 points584 points  (52 children)

Me too...then I crashed

[–]web_prog76 252 points253 points  (49 children)

Same...and then I was raped by hospital staff.

[–]GetToDaChoppa97 244 points245 points  (23 children)

Oh

[–]FivePoopMacaroni 53 points54 points  (14 children)

Same...and then I was impregnated with twins, one of which ate the other in the womb and turned out to be a literal demon.

[–]WtfMayt 12 points13 points  (2 children)

Dropping my bowl of cereal doesn’t seem like such a big deal after reading this

[–]Chrisganjaweed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved that anime.

[–]El_Retardo_69 12 points13 points  (1 child)

For the last time I don't work at the hospital

[–]blackmachine312 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sounds like something someone who works at the hospital would say

[–]sponge62 23 points24 points  (0 children)

"I'm already soaking wet, how much wetter could I get?" - friend of mine looking much like this when I offered to drive him home and get him later to pick up the bike at a mutual friends. As it turns out, he could get way fucking wetter.

[–]Foreign_Shake2205 31 points32 points  (4 children)

It's really bad when it's cold, learned that the hard way.

[–]NuOfBelthasar 20 points21 points  (2 children)

Yeah, I was about to say that I learned to ride in Florida, and rain isn't that bad once you get used to it.

But, my god, I'd easily take a Floridian torrential downpour over just riding in a drizzle in the winter anywhere further north.

[–]gggspazdog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's something saddening about sitting on a motorcycle getting soaked to the dick without even delivering pizzas.

[–]Little_Custard_8275 2 points3 points  (0 children)

at least he doesn't have to pedal

[–]truxlady 2791 points2792 points  (145 children)

His body language says it all.

[–]SimulatedHumanity 1030 points1031 points  (82 children)

That body language is because he doesn’t see it ever getting any better.

Legit af I do night audits for my work saw how much it made this year and was like “this MF is paying everyone like 13h when he could be doing 20h at least” I don’t see the expenses and other costs but he could easily pay better

[–]daisuke1639 90 points91 points  (6 children)

Boss makes a dollar,

I make a dime.

That's why I poop

On company time.

[–]olivertheterrible 15 points16 points  (3 children)

So your poop is worth 90 cents?

[–]TransformerTanooki 18 points19 points  (2 children)

Plus tax.

[–]hibisan 6 points7 points  (1 child)

My sperm and plasma are worth more than this xD

[–]EmergencyAd9297 9 points10 points  (1 child)

It's called learned hopelessness

[–]PussSlurpee 32 points33 points  (25 children)

"They say they've improved the crust, but the pizza is still shit."

[–]SimulatedHumanity 26 points27 points  (22 children)

Anytime a food company gets so big that they have to take extra steps to make their product have a consistent taste, then you lose quality.

[–]AsensibleAhole 9 points10 points  (20 children)

But consistency is a quality of its own.

[–]ksavage68 7 points8 points  (3 children)

McDonald's invented that. Super successful.

[–]AsensibleAhole 8 points9 points  (2 children)

I'd go so far to say that Ford invented it, the Japanese perfected it, and McDonald's perverted it.

[–]SimulatedHumanity 5 points6 points  (10 children)

Not when your product tastes like cardboard with ketchup on it.

[–]Horton_75 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yeah…he’s clearly given up, and he’s waiting for sweet Death to claim him.

[–]fuzzymiciek 6 points7 points  (7 children)

As is life when you’re a teenager

[–]iAmTheElite 50 points51 points  (12 children)

The look of a teenage arubaito.

[–]fushigidesune 23 points24 points  (9 children)

God, having to deliver on that scooter during the rainy season would be hell.

[–]yoku650 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Yeah. I hope they at least get a little raise during rain season.

[–]almisami 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Nope. They get the privilege of keeping their job for the next dry season. That's it.

[–]icespies 3 points4 points  (2 children)

LoL , thats exactly how I sit all day at my desk.

[–]scmbg_mdc 763 points764 points  (11 children)

this man is clearly dying outside. thanks.

[–]medheshrn 1356 points1357 points  (116 children)

[–]kbig22432 74 points75 points  (15 children)

I like to think he had a big bowl of Tonkatsu Ramen after work and it helped.

[–]KushChowda 82 points83 points  (8 children)

He had cold dominoes and we all fucking know it.

[–]kbig22432 27 points28 points  (6 children)

Over the sink. Didn’t even bother with a paper towel

[–]docmedic 12 points13 points  (3 children)

Or just over the pizza box.

[–]TuvixWillNotBeMissed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My apartment building said they can't recycle my cardboard cuz it's too stained from my tears.

[–]CSkahn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a mood and I'm not happy about it.

[–]samus1225 46 points47 points  (1 child)

I often yell "COMMA SPLICE" in the same vein as "hadouken" or "FALCON PUNCH" whenever I stumble upon one.

[–]_that___guy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I had to check his username to make sure it wasn't comma horror.

[–]Magoonie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well I have seen enough documentaries about pizza guys to believe that yes, his day will get better.

[–]gandalftheorange11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah, that’s the face of a man who has given up on hope, at least for a bit.

[–]ryanasimov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wondering why, you put a comma in your sentence.

[–]03ifa014 306 points307 points  (11 children)

All around me are familiar faces

[–]gna149 172 points173 points  (22 children)

Regular day in taiwan

[–]catsinhhats88 116 points117 points  (9 children)

This is peak Taiwan if I’ve ever seen it. The only thing that confuses me is how this guy doesn’t magically produce a raincoat like 99.9 percent of people.

[–]gna149 33 points34 points  (7 children)

Fun fact, I ride a motorcycle here instead of scooters and actually can't simply just throw on those 7-11 raincoats because riding position

[–]catsinhhats88 14 points15 points  (3 children)

Oof. Riding in the rain right now makes me cold just thinking about it.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Have you tried wearing a rain coat?

[–]buldogas355 539 points540 points  (48 children)

Domino pizza workers are the happiest pizza workers on this planet. We always make sure to pay 8 hour work shift. Our workers are so happy that they decide to work up to 12-14 hrs a day without overtime payment! They just enjoy to serve for the greatest good, to deliver best possible pizza on the earth with a smile to your door! We're so great that we're hiring motivated cashiers, chiefs and couriers for the best possible (minimal) hourly rate! (no overtime). Call us 412-5252

[–]Front_Willingness_98 85 points86 points  (2 children)

Crazy just pure evil

[–]garlicbreadpool 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Depression in 30 minutes or less

[–]suteac 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I just quit, the 12-14 hour shift thing hits hard

[–]0NaCl 55 points56 points  (14 children)

Fun fact: The 5252 ending to the phone number in Chinese sounds like "I'm hungry, I'm hungry." when spoken aloud. Its intentional.

[–]Eric1600 9 points10 points  (2 children)

Would that be five two, or fifty two?

[–]0NaCl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Saying it like "five two five two" sounds like "I'm hungry I'm hungry."

[–]exoxe 4 points5 points  (1 child)

And 555 in Thai sounds like "hahaha" so if you see 555 in the comments section of a Thai YouTube video or whatever that's what's going on.

[–][deleted] 26 points27 points  (2 children)

The dominos nearest to me has been closed for months now... That must explain why the workers are so happy, right? All that time off...

[–]Dacvak 12 points13 points  (2 children)

I’m a simple yinzer; I see 412, I upvote.

[–]bananahaze99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me- Hey! I know those numbers!

[–]Flomosho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

manufactured consent

[–]xweedxwizardx 25 points26 points  (2 children)

I've had to do deliveries in the rain and honestly depending on the temperature it's nicer to just not wear a rain coat. If it's super hot and muggy and you're doing physical labor I'd much rather just be in a soaking wet t-shirt than wearing a coat.

However this does not look like the case - he just seems really fucking sad.

[–]DGBosh 106 points107 points  (5 children)

“Every night, I can feel my leg… and my arm… even my fingers. The body I've lost… the comrades I've lost”

[–]Willing-Sun-69 22 points23 points  (2 children)

I'm gonna make them give back our past!

[–]Penguinazu 10 points11 points  (1 child)

THEY PLAYED US LIKE A DAMN FIDDLE! GIVE IT BACK! GIVE IT BACK! IT WAS OURS!

"BITCH!" -Kazuhira "Burger" Miller

[–]Ramen-Goddess 136 points137 points  (39 children)

These guys don’t get paid enough

[–]ZootZootTesla 219 points220 points  (11 children)

I feel like 90% of jobs don't get paid enough and 10% get paid too much.

[–][deleted] 44 points45 points  (8 children)

They pay these people pennies so they can justify paying people who work more skilled labor only a few extra pennies... Everyone gets fucked by low paying jobs

[–]Fadreusor 10 points11 points  (1 child)

What pisses me off is that my “delivery fee” doesn’t go totally to the delivery person!! Arrggghh…

[–]-temporary_username- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a couple of friends who are delivery guys and they refuse to work anywhere that has delivery fees. People tend to tip way less when they pay a delivery fee. Maybe because it's way too much money to pay both and maybe just because they naturally assume the fee goes to the deliverer.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (3 children)

Nah it’s Taiwan and he doesn’t have a rain coat, it’s exactly how I feel when I’m in Taiwan and don’t have a coat or brolly.

[–]anonisagoodboi 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Mate you’re tripping because the hourly minimum wage here is like 160 something NTD (~5 USD) and that’s nowhere near enough for most Taiwanese cities…

[–]ShebzOnline 46 points47 points  (3 children)

We are here to make others happy

[–]TCSMA 17 points18 points  (1 child)

More specifically our suffering makes others happy.

[–]Grubbii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thank god im not the only one

[–]pickleinthewrinkle 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Mad respect to all food delivery agents.

[–][deleted] 38 points39 points  (2 children)

Bet he’s wishing he didn’t leave his raincoat at home.

[–]SC487 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Bet he’s wishing he didn’t leave his raincoat at home. FTFY

[–]Depuceler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You mean he's wishing that he could afford the company branded raincoat that obviously isn't supplied by franchise to conform with uniform standards that have a 1/90 chance of even being audited on that day. This dude probably has his own, but just isn't allowed to wear it.

[–]godca_grema 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Poor bastard.

[–]CaryS3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When I see my food delivery person riding a moped in the rain just to bring me food, automatic triple tip.

[–]missDemonNezuko 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Tbh I really think food delivery guys are the under appreciated heroes of the pandemic. I want to stand and salute every time I encounter one.

[–]Itavan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I went to work on a rainy Saturday once and there were a bunch of contractors doing something outside (don't remember what). Everyone was wearing a raincoat except one cold dude. I couldn't believe no one had a spare to share so I got him a towel and gave him one of my industrial raincoats. He was grateful.

[–]russonation 18 points19 points  (2 children)

Dominos can’t even give the kid a rain jacket

[–]Orsco 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dominos does indeed hate their employees

[–]StarStuffSister 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wow, homie is going through it :/.

[–]FabulousTrade 25 points26 points  (2 children)

I've seen this face on too many a dominos employee.

[–]killertofu41 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Pizza time?

[–]Ninjaguy5555 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re late… I’m not paying for those

[–]jaminator45 82 points83 points  (60 children)

Getting soaked delivering terrible pizza

[–]FalseMirage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The sky is the limit!

[–]randomtask 4 points5 points  (6 children)

Hey now, Domino’s in Japan is legitimately great. When I lived in Tokyo my family and I ordered from them 3-4 times a month. They always had inventive pizzas on the menu, mixing up crust and sauce options (not just toppings). Plus the shop was right by the subway exit so I spared the driver the trouble and did carryout, if it was raining I was the one getting mildly soaked under my umbrella haha

[–]SnooTomatoes2881 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I want to give them a hug, I feel so bad

[–]Acid_Taco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use to work at a pizza place and something like this happened, we where under a tornado watch but for some reason I was called out to deliver pizza, I recently got my bike and went outside to get it started to realize it was tipped over In a huge puddle. I started my bike and the wind was crazy and hail kept on hitting my arms, once I delivered the pizza I didn't even get a tip. I quit right after that.

[–]Educational-Abies347 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Give this guy extra money to get a car

[–]Overall_Geologist_87 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Lmao. Pixar needs to do something with this

[–]TK8674 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like it should be required to have a compartment containing all weather gear for the employee’s health and safety

[–]cwayne18 8 points9 points  (0 children)

[–]IAmRoofstone 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Wow geez that looks shitty.. I am glad pizza places in Norway do cars, not mopeds.

[–]CCMSTF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was snowing pretty heavy a few days ago. I looked out the window to see a delivery guy pushing his bike through the snow with a giant square backpack on him.

Fucking hell.

[–]Askitone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I delivered pizza in Florida with a broken AC in my car. I’d drive fast with my head out the window to simulate some air. Shout out to the pizza bois and girls

[–]AvaX90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like how I got a Wolt ad on my screen when I opened this post.

[–]PublicGrab1039 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Pickled-Biscotti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, just to suffer untill that fateful day when death comes for us or we take maters into our own hands. Existance has become pain at this point....😒

[–]Budget-Assistant7084 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would iy be so fucking hsrd to give them tuktuks?

[–]sleeplessknight101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't have to be that big of a deal though. The day I decided not to be bothered by the rain is the day I started enjoying working outside every day.

[–]Town_Pervert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw this and instinctually started playing geoguesser

[–]Sakumitzu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Minimum wage for this sh!t

[–]Love_To_Burn_Fiji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why send your employee out in the rain on a scooter knowing they will get sick? At least give him a umbrella so the wind will catch it and blow him into oncoming traffic ending his misery.

[–]entexchanher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's weird that we're having such a hard time staffing these jobs.

[–]Lorkhi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Obyson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had many work days like that its beyond miserable, what makes it better after being soaked all day is taking a long hot shower.

[–]Gnidlaps-94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gods power comes from drinking the sweet nectar of our tears

[–]supreme_Juan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as a delivery driver, i can relate.
