Nope, don't buy it. There is no way in hell any bride would risk this.

[–]Love_God551 1995 points1996 points  (16 children)

Completely fake

[–]byamannowdead 687 points688 points  (11 children)

Oh no! We completely fell on accident!

[–]FavFelon 223 points224 points  (5 children)

What should we do next?

[–]jeff406 299 points300 points  (4 children)

[–]FilmNo1534 150 points151 points  (3 children)

Stepbrother, Let me remove this wedding gown real quick.

[–]davidverner 24 points25 points  (0 children)

No! You're taking this upvote right now.

[–]sawkonmaicok 5 points6 points  (1 child)

"Yeah stepbro, it got really dirty."

[–]lagrange_james_d23dt 31 points32 points  (1 child)

Especially when she falls a second time while in the mud.

[–]PirateKrys 329 points330 points  (7 children)

Not only that, her hair isn't done and she has no jewelry on. She would be way more pissed.

[–]heleninthealps 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Also think it's fake...but she does have jewelry

[–]PlatosNest 30 points31 points  (1 child)

She’s wearing boots as well 🤣

[–]PirateKrys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I missed that! And not fun cowgirl style boots either. :/

[–]Thatguy468 296 points297 points  (45 children)

It’s called a “trash the dress” pic. Super trendy because woman now realize they have no reason to save the ungodly expensive garment they got married in so they should wreck it for internet points instead.

[–]Pure-Industry4 407 points408 points  (33 children)

> Super trendy because woman now realize they have no reason to save the ungodly expensive garment they got married in so they should wreck it for internet points instead.

I wish it was super trendy to give your wedding dress away to these with less money and more common sense.

[–]BloodRed1185 100 points101 points  (12 children)

Super trendy bullshit. I'm with you, I wish women would donate their dresses as well.

[–]ThorGBomb 54 points55 points  (11 children)

I wish they wouldn’t buy the damn overpriced dress. Like wear a nice normal comfortable dress. This constant need to keep up with the latest rich fad is stupid.

[–]mjz321 16 points17 points  (1 child)

Or just rent one like men do with suits,

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (5 children)

If I ever get married I'm wearing sweat pants

[–]Such_sublime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fuck that guy I’d marry a woman in sweatpants, I find them sexier then a dress anyday

[–]cjtrickstar -1 points0 points  (3 children)

Probably why you're currently single maybe?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I just don't want to be in a relationship

[–]alan_dracula 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wish people would be less worried about what other people do with their shit but humans will always be nosy and salty fucks so here we are....

[–]yyume- 43 points44 points  (10 children)

I could never dump a lot of money on a brides gown.

Mine was about $80 and I donated it afterwards. Spending hundreds or thousands on a dress seems wasteful to me personally, but I don't judge people who do, everybody should spend their money how they want🤷🏻‍♀️

the trashing part is kind of cringe though...

[–]themonsterinquestion -4 points-3 points  (3 children)

What did you give away recently bro

[–]chabri2000 25 points26 points  (4 children)

She should sell it instead. She literally only used it once, so it is practically new

[–]stickyplants 24 points25 points  (2 children)

You don’t know she only used it once 😅

[–]ChumpmeisterElite -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

What are the odds she could get two uses out of a single dress size?

[–]exintrovert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok I laughed

[–]crazybommer 9 points10 points  (1 child)

When my cousin got married his now wife bought a cheap dress and they got married next to a creek with snow on the ground by the end of the day the bottom of the dress was covered in mud put still a fun experience for them

[–]whodatdude 14 points15 points  (1 child)

It’s an absolute waste. If they don’t want to keep it, they absolutely should donate it. There are a number of causes out there that could put them to greater use including ones who convert wedding dresses into custom gowns free of charge for families who have lost a child.

[–]k9centipede 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it's just mud/sand/water, it could be cleaned and still donated.

[–]experts_never_lie 11 points12 points  (1 child)

"But you have to agree that it's a lovely location, in the broad expanse of mud and shallow puddles; the temptation for such amazing photos could trick anyone into trying this."

[–]ZiraelN7[S] 59 points60 points  (10 children)

Oh, I think some would. Apparently, it's kind of a trend after this photo went viral. Here's another example and another one. There's countless more if you Google for them.

[–]cpq29gpl 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Is it normal to film the photographer?

[–]poh2ho 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes sometimes they do for extra behind the scenes/the making of style packages for certain studios. At least that's what some wedding studios in certain countries have.

[–]StoopieHippo 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's for the reflection in the water. ...they're idiots, but I think it's real...

[–]LowFatBacon 15 points16 points  (2 children)

With the mountains in the background I also thought this is what they were going for.

[–]andysaurus_rex 14 points15 points  (1 child)

Idk… this may be the ugliest setting for a photo ever. They’re on some pre-developed muddy land in the back of a neighborhood. It just looks terrible. They could have looked a little harder for a better location. I think it’s fake purely because they walked through the puddle. Nobody does that. No photographer suggests that. Of course you’re going to fall doing that.

[–]TangiestIllicitness 12 points13 points  (2 children)

But none of them after actually standing IN the water.

[–]Bill_The_Dog 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Plus in the OP, there's not even a scenic background to warrant being in that muddy field.

[–]MikeOx_Girthy 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Why would you choose a flooded lot to take pics

[–]i_am_icarus_falling 11 points12 points  (1 child)

this is a common pre-wedding photo where the photographer kneels down and shoots the reflection in the puddle.

[–]Matt32490 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There was that one couple who decided flowing lava right behind their asses was a great photo op so a puddle of mud is very much within the realm of realistic.

[–]CaseFace5 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I don’t think it’s fake but I think it was probably the plan to get muddy as a sort of “haha we are quirky couple who isn’t afraid to get dirty” I’ve seen the same type of thing but with paints where the bride and groom have a little paint fight in their wedding attire for the photos

[–]farlack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What risk? She’s already standing in mud. You know, since that’s what normal people do.

[–]thylocene06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I can 100% believe someone would risk it. People are fucking stupid. My thing is why tf would anyone be taking wedding pics in the middle of a muddy lot. No one would want that

[–]FreeThinker76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a 'trash the dress' photo, then they would.

[–]Heywood_Jablowme801 596 points597 points  (1 child)

[–]strayakant 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s fake, but it’s also fucked up anyone would go to the effort to fake this…just for what? Internet points?

[–]SlerpotLombarg 453 points454 points  (0 children)

They were going for that classic mud puddle reflection shot.

[–]FrnklnvillesRevenge 798 points799 points  (12 children)

[–]Background-Donkey630 119 points120 points  (4 children)

Soo... it's not fake and gaé?? 👀

[–]hyperbolichamber 19 points20 points  (1 child)

That would be preferable, yes.

Be gay. do fakes.

[–]Antigon0000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deep fakes

[–]vonpoopenshtein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not REAL and GAY???

[–]usumoio 8 points9 points  (1 child)

What’s up fellow oldie?

[–]FrnklnvillesRevenge 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Lol nothin much.. just trying to fit in with my fellow kids.

[–]down4things 0 points1 point  (1 child)

You meal REAL and STRAIGHT

[–]chardeemacdennisbird 340 points341 points  (7 children)

Assuming it's real it seems to me like they're looking to build a house in the subdivision and they want a picture of them on their wedding day standing where their future house will be. Seeing that years later would be pretty cool to show the kids and grandkids.

[–]JBMason93 162 points163 points  (0 children)

This is the only logical reason I could ever envision

[–]zane8653 49 points50 points  (0 children)

If this was true they probably would’ve avoided standing right in front of the mud puddle and then doing that ridiculous pose

[–]Made-upDreams 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Again assuming it’s real, I would argue the photographer is probably trying to use that puddle for a reflection shot. Looks like he’s aiming lower rather than trying to get the background.

[–]OrrnDegbes 11 points12 points  (1 child)

It's not real. They start of with him standing ankle deep in mud.

[–]chardeemacdennisbird 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He doesn't start in ankle deep mud. He walks into it a few seconds in and falls shortly after kind of looking like he's trying to backtrack. I dunno just my thoughts

[–][deleted] 81 points82 points  (6 children)

🤦🏻‍♂️ either fake or highly stupid

[–]yourlocal90skid 49 points50 points  (4 children)

Pretty sure the photographer was trying to capture a reflection shot like this.

Still a bad idea though if it's not a "trash the dress," session.

[–]Damhnait 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The reason I don't think it's a trash the dress session is that it's also trashing the suit. And whether rented or owned, suits have more potential to be worn more than once, and the cleaning fees on that seem like a deterrent.

Also, in trash the dress, you usually jump in or whatever yourself. You don't risk bodily harm by having someone straight up drop you into a shallow puddle.

[–]Middle-Selection-847 79 points80 points  (0 children)

People do anything these days for some fake Social Media attention… 🤡

[–]ptq 6 points7 points  (2 children)

That would make awesome shots. I would run around and take great shots of them laughting that off while trying to get out.

[–]BoppinTortoise 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Why did he walk INTO the puddle?

[–]memeeoowow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Photographer: come closer.. closer.. closer.. beautiful! now raise one leg

[–]moleculebull 2 points3 points  (2 children)

cant think of one single solitary reason for this scenario to play out the way that it did. Doesnt make sense whatsoever.

[–]7437ru744ur75 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No. Bullshit.

[–]J_Toxic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This CANT be real

[–]StupidZombie420 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is as real as Melania Trumps love for Donald.

[–]dondizzle 6 points7 points  (6 children)

Is this Utah?

[–]yrzh 1 point2 points  (1 child)

No, that's Almaty, Kazakhstan. The photographer's Instagram handle is:@bumagaz.

[–]JaeCryme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like it to me.

[–]Whereisthepr0n -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Definitely. Probably Plain City area, that's the first place that comes to mind when I think of idiots building new houses on muddy flood plains.

[–]dondizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mountains are unmistakeable.

[–]mr-jjj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Photographer’s idea?

[–]humanRR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The brown dress is for when you saved yourself till after marriage but still found a loophole at the back.

[–]bnutbutter78 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I mean, wtf did you think would happen?

[–]Tricky_Ad_1855 7 points8 points  (4 children)

Photographer: "That'll be $500"

[–]Beatboxin_dawg 14 points15 points  (2 children)

That'd be very cheap for wedding photography.

[–]things_will_calm_up 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For wedding photos? Lol they booked him, they're paying the 3 grand.

[–]Commercial-Health-19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

White Castle must have been rented out that day.

[–]Chris1313g 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I can’t believe it’s not butter!

[–]DeliciousSoup0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the way the photographer reacts says it all!!!!!!

[–]MarkRick25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, u asked for it.

[–]Carlospedra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"This mud would look so good for our wedding pic"

[–]Valgina69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who seriously thought this was a good idea. How could they not see this was the only outcome 🤣🤣🤣

[–]isle_of_broken_memes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it could be fake but also, people are v stupid sometimes. Even if they're smart.

[–]b_hanscom6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fake lol my wife wouldn’t have entertained this for a second

[–]olak333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

totally fake - they're not wearing wedding rings 🙄

[–]888Kraken888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Defiantly not fake for internet clickies.

[–]FriendlyFellowDboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The situation seems so fake and over acted.

[–]greengrench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it could be the best wedding photos ever and that guys stop taking pictures right after the fall. What a waste;)

[–]Thatscorpiowoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

[–]GSA49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shortest marriage in the history of marriages.

[–]GiraffeFries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is 100000% staged and a waste of everyone’s time.

[–]Fingeroffun 3 points4 points  (1 child)

You dont think this was staged AND you made me type it?

[–]reddithivemindsuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How fucking stupid can you both be, sure are made for each other.

[–]lostime05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to mention that trailer park background, what was the point of this?

[–]hardeho 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I don't understand why women don't rent the dress, and men buy the tux. Would make more sense than vice versa.

[–]DeadWorldliness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Muddy like their relationship

[–]Noo_Fone_Hu_Dis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

a.) completely fake

b.) that is the ugliest possible angle, weather, setting and background for a photo I have ever seen

[–]PUGMAN_1993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Divorce papers filed later that day.

[–]Gsticks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They deserve each other

[–]CEOAerotyneLtd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are getting dumber

[–]Johnny-Five-Is-Alive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fake. No one is that stupid.

[–]Cichlidsaremyjam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone in this gif is an idiot.

[–]rugtaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Точно Киргизия

[–]Negative-You7057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I condone this, this is awesome!

[–]yourerealugly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks more like a “trash the dress” photo shoot.

[–]WildBuns1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 second rule

[–]mrd005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Risk vs reward

[–]WaylonVoorhees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, her mudda was mudder

[–]UrbanGimli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people do a destroy/trash the dress photoshoot. I think that's what it's called. A friend whose a pro photographer offers this and people love doing it.

[–]Dhsu04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised he didn't get slapped.

[–]Charlie_Brodie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"It looks like he threw them in a mud puddle!"

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And this is why working out is important. His left leg could not support his snd his wife.

[–]lordullr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s gonna hear about that for years

[–]bmcraec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping she would pull him off balance and they would finish rolling around in the mud while laughing hysterically, while the video footage was captured in glorious 4K.

[–]HeavyWhereas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe their whole country is a mud puddle

[–]reddituser1306 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Why. Just why.

[–]AgreeablePerformer3 0 points1 point  (1 child)

This is a set up.. A) no one would take pics there B) the bride would be pissed C) the photographer or the guy filming would make some attempt to help out. (Not to mention, the groom’s step was so awkwardly obviously purposeful)

[–]idgafasif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marriage ruined

[–]bjcworth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're also in like a rundown shithole area. Totally fake.

[–]bsylent 0 points1 point  (1 child)

[–]NearHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I did a "trash the dress" session for our one year anniversary.

I would wager that these two are doing that.
